I seriously want to replay this game so bad. I know I played it before, but I really feel like playing it again, I thought it was amazing for an RPG game. Left me with a lot of emotions, plus the ost's used were awesome too. I really wished this would turn into a manga or anime.
And so I start the journey through the playlist.... I kinda remember this song, but WOW. The piano and the background noises are quite... unsettling, yet so beautiful
I've played this game... so many times. I know the halls of the Fabricated World like the back of my hand. The place in itself has long stopped being frightening. But not in a bad way. As sappy as it sounds, I suppose I could call this place... how to put it into words... Perhaps the best way to explain is through this song. When you first hear it, it evokes a pinch of paranoia. There could be anything around the next corner. Some painting ready to tear your rose up petal by petal like a sadistic game of Loves Me, Loves Me Not. It makes you hesitant of each step you take. But for me, this song has long since lost any of its fear. It's a calming tune now. What was once a dread-inducing, fear-filled drone after every measure of piano notes is now a sigh of relief, a tone of serenity. The sorrowful refrain that once had me wary of each room now evokes the feeling of wandering my home late at night. I suppose that's how I'd describe it. This world of bloodthirsty art has come to feel like another home.
I was playing Blank Dream (another RPG maker game) just now and there was a song in the silver room that sounded awfully familiar. I knew it came from Ib, so I came to check and it was the first song on the list!
Yeah omg that's why i came here just to make sure!! After playing so many jrpgs i hear the same tracks over and over so quite often I'm like "WAIT A SECOND.....I'VE HEARD THIS BEFORE..." even if its slight ambiance I recognize it
You have to not do anything to hurt or destroy the mannequin heads or dolls. Like you can't let Garry kick the mannequin head in the room with the mirror, Garry can't shove the doll aside when its sitting in front of the door, and when you're in the room with the three heads, you only move the two on the right. As for talking, you have to comment on the milk puzzle in the Violet area- it doesn't matter what your answer is. You have to give Garry his coat back right away when you wake up from passing out- then you have to talk to him a lot in that room (I always talk to him like 10 times bc come on why wouldn't you want to talk to Garry). Then when it's just you and Mary when Mary asks you if Garry is your dad, you just say no- and when she asks if you could get out with only one of them what would you do, say you'd go with Garry. In the sketchbook area you have to talk to Garry a lot in the beam of sunlight. Idk if this helps but I always make sure Garry says the line where he asks you out to go eat macaroons after you two get out. That's all I could think of off the top of my head.. you can probably look up a proper walk-through though.
Edit: yes, I know IB is finally getting a reboot. I am very happy for it I honestly wish that IB gets a reboot like the others (The Witch's house, Mad Father, Misao, Yume Nikki) Not because I dislike the old version But because I feel it deserves it along with being put on Steam like the others I absolutely love the game IB along with other RPG horror games were a part of my childhood and I would love to see other people finding it I have always loved the artistic (no pun intended) look to the game And I love the atmosphere I can't remember if this was the second RPG horror game I was introduced to (it was either IB or Mad Father second introduced, The Witch's House was the first one where I watched Tobuscus play which then I was introduced to Markiplier playing the other horror games) But it's always been with me along with the others (I do remember I was watching IB with my little brother but he stopped watching at the doll room part) And seeing it get reboot like the others (just new graphics at least?) makes me feel complete I'd kill for nostalgia
I Love this game so much man, I've played it a million times. I Remember sometime in 2013 i played it 5 TIMES In a row in ONE Sitting because i kept trying to get the Extra Dungeon. Lots of nostalgia.
The first time I played this game, I didn't think much of it. I thought it was alright but overrated. Now , it's one of, (if not) favorite games. The graphics and art style may not be the best, but they're charming nonetheless, the ost is perfect, even if some of the songs are in other games, and the characters are pretty well written, unique, and realistic. Overall, a pretty great experience for only being a 2-4 hour long game. I don't know why I wrote all of this because most people are here because of Ib, but I'm bored and felt like typing out my thoughts lol.
Do you know which other games this ost has been used in? This sounds so familiar for me, although i downloaded this game just yesterday and i have no previous knowledge of this game...
So. I downloaded ib yesterday, and im only in the prologue. This is my first time playing it, and i've never looked into the soundtrack, fanart, etc...but this soundtrack is just way too familiar for me. Does anyone know if there's a song which sounds the same or has this been used in other games before? Its kinda weird how I feel like I know this song without ever playing :D
I think there are some songs that are also used in other horror RPGs, if you look at the comments I think there's usually a mention of it there. Similarly, some of the songs seem to just be classical music.
I wish it was an anime. It has the feel like Angels of Death, although you dont go commit murder from one room to the next. Its grounded, its scary, its emotional. I wish either JC Staff*who made the angels of death anime* or Madhouse.
Most likely he just downloaded the actual game and went into the file that holds all the music and sound effects. That's how I got all of them, anyways. So technically, if you downloaded the game, you should have all the sound files already on your computer. You just have to look. :)
blue monster doll thing I mean, forgot to proofread it. It's when you have to get the key out of one of the dolls before time runs out, that's what I was referring as *blue* :P
**shudder** **shudder** Now I understand..... it's even worse when you fail.... The gong noise gets deeper and deeper.... and then the doll goes out more and more..... then the screen turns red when you fail.... though Garry apparently doesn't die. He just goes crazy until you slap some sense into him. (literally)

Same. The track starts out in a very frightening and imposing way, but the piano ends it in an almost calming way.
Same. One big reason I adore these old RPG Maker horror games are their soundtracks. They create ambience and capture moods so effortlessly...
The Best horror adventure on RPG maker.
In my opinion, it is the best game ever anyway

Well guess what my friend!
We're getting a remake
(@@NeekoNoel) oh? Yep, I can't wait, I'm hyped.

They will never know the horror and beauty of IB.

I miss RPG horror games like ib, mad father, the witches house ect.
@Pilot Alek oh yeah! I forgot about that wonderful game, sadly it's very underrated, I'm still waiting for Markiplier to play it if he ever does
I'm still a big fan of Angel Of Death
The way the soundtrack to this game sets the mood is immaculate.

Do you really want it? It's a good piece of music but it sounds...foreboding...as if something really bad is brewing in the horizon.
