That’s was truly inspiring, once again you have managed to educate and inspire me to be bolder with my knitting. I will be making my colour wheel soon. Thank you so much for the great content
Thanks a lot for introducing me to Noma. It’s wonderful to find a designer who designs garments that can fit my body. Usually I knit for others, but now I can make something for myself 😊
Oh so nice with some crochet! I am mostly a crocheter but am also knitting now partly because of your awesome podcast. For another great crochet designer with a very high artistic level, is Swedish Maria Gullberg - I would love to see her on your podcast!
Omg, I loved Nora. I had to listen a couple of times as I am an American and her accent was challenging. Worth it. I will definitely be knitting some of her designs. Which leads me to a challenge for you two lovely ladies, do not discriminate fabric designers because they cannot speak English. Technology gives us the ability to translate, right! I would love to hear from those designers whose language I cannot speak. And, but not least, luv that you are exploring hook rugs and crochet. My tiny knit shop is doing the same. Thank you.
That hooked rug is incredibly precious. It captures a moment in time. I used to make punched rugs in the 1970's with my family. Thanks for the memories!
Absolutely love your podcast and your style. I also knit mostly sweaters and cardigans and my favorite is kim hargreaves. I knit all the time and everywhere even if I have just 30min. I truly enjoy seeing all the patterns I plan to knit one day and you give me so many more ideas of sweaters to knit. I fell upon your podcast when I researched the "bohus stickning" technique. I am so sorry for the loss of precious Andrew and your efforts to keep the podcast going are truly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time and effort!
I empathize with you, Andrea. I'm ripping out an entire stranded 3-color sweater -- several months of work -- because after I assembled it, the lack of give in the fabric prevented me from passing it over my head and shoulders. The measurements were okay, but the fabric had zero give! Like you, I feel it's so worth starting over to get something that will be beautiful and comfortable to wear. I love the pattern you're knitting. I remember seeing it when you interviewed Natasha and thinking it was one of the prettiest I've seen.
Thank you for another wonderful episode. I really enjoyed it, and I've learnt so much about colour. Through the endemic, I've been teaching myself crochet via RUclips University. Norma is such an inspiration!
Very fun to watch episode as always!!! I specifically enjoyed the "knitters of the world" section this time, with Noma Ndlovu, as well as the interview with Sue Maton at the end, especially the part where she was explaining how we could combine colours!!! Thanks for all the effort you put on your podcast for us 🙂Looking forward to your next episode ♟🧣🧶
Noma Ndloma.. wow!! Just love Sue's designs and inspirations❤❤❤❤.... my 2023 dream knits list just doubled!! I tuned in for The Mercerie, absolutely admire and can't wait to try one of her garment designs and color courses. Noma was a delightful surprise and definitely going to knit a number of her patterns, looking forward to her capsule designs! Your content is just so incredible!! Thank you. Think you just gained a patron😊❤.
Hi Andrea and Madeleine, thank you so much for your amazing channel. I always look forward to seeing you both and absolutely love your channel. I have been a viewer for year. I am a new Aussie sewing vlogger myself and fully appreciate all the work you out into your videos. Happy knitting, crocheting and sewing xx
Thank you so much Andrea and Maddy for creating such a beautiful show of knitting and fibre artists. I love knitting along while watching with you each month 💚
I was so trilled in looking at your podcast today, Noma's designs were awesome, Sue wallflower omg breath taking. I would love to crochet that project. The hooked rug and checker board beautiful.
Even though I'm not a crocheter I found the whole episode inspiring -- love both of your in-progress projects, thought Sue's designs were gorgeous, enjoyed listening to Noma and seeing her designs. Thank you.
What an amazing episode! You can tell that Sue Maton is used to being with people, communicating and teaching. She is able to translate her thought processes to an audience with such ease! Her designs are beautiful.......I think I may have to add some of hers onto my to-do list. Noma was such a surprise to me. I always find it amazing how someone can incorporate their culture into their knitting.... all while producing an elegant resultant polished result. Her segment was awe inspiring with what we can achieve as knitters..... again I will definitely be checking out more of her designs! Thank you Andrea and Madeleine for a great video. Oh and can I just add that the chosen music certainly added to the mood of each segment. Loved the South African choir particularly!
Thank you so much for this episode! I just love the focus and enthusiasm in all your episodes. Madeline, your chess set is coming along nicely, very creative. Andrea, you continue to show us the wow factor in all the projects you embark on. Looking forward to Episode 131, thank you so much again for an enjoyable hour and a half!
Oh my gosh! What a wonderful episode, Madeline’s chess pieces are so darn cute, how precious. Andrea you amaze me with every garment you knit but I have to say, this one looks like the new favourite. The colour is fabulous, it’s yummy, a fave of mine. No a has some wonderful projects, I think I will have to try one of her pieces. Mandy just fascinated me with her play in colour, so free to experiment with colour, just mesmerizing.
Super program, lots for everyone. the rug hooking picture was lovely with a simple wood cut look, South african knitwear with Nomas really impressive work, saw lots I would love to knit, so will be visiting her stall. Thankyou.
Really appreciated the color and design training in this episode. Also, love the designs from Bigger Than Life. Another fabulous episode, Andrea and Madeleine! ❤❤
Cant recommend Sue’s courses enough! Each a wonderful journey into exciting art practice. If you’re looking for something more than ‘just another crochet project’ Sue’s instructions, videos and practical activities take you beyond slavishly following stitch counts and colour palettes and move you into creating unique pieces worthy of the time investment. Go for it!
I already had at least half a dozen of Noma's patterns in my favorites on Ravelry and this just motivated me to buy a pattern or two to give them a try. Thanks for another wonderful episode!
Good morning, Andrea and Madeleine. Andrea, your current WIP is exceptional; I look forward to seeing the finished garment. Madeleine, your chess set is so creative and charming. I enjoyed watching Norma’s section. Her designs are lovely. Susan’s crocheted blankets are exquisite. Her explanation of choosing colours was very enlightening. Thank you for this video❤️❤️ I forgot to congratulate Madeleine on her rug hooking. I’m a rug hooker too so I was excited to see you two getting into it❤️❤️
Dearest Andrea and Madeleine - oh my gosh you never cease to amaze me!! What an absolutely amazing episode (and I’ve watched them all 😊) I did wonder how I’d enjoy the focus on crochet with Sue but her interview was superb - as an “almost retired” primary school teacher I work one day a week teaching Art and have done a lot of fun activities on the colour wheel and colour theory with children as young as 5 - which they handled so well - and to see this all applied to crochet (and indeed our knitting ) is a connection I hadn’t made before - so absolutely exciting!! Thank you so very much 😊
You did an excellent job with the rug hooking kit! I purchased one, too and had the same problems as you. It wasnt as easy as I thought, but, still enjoyed the process.
Impressive chess pieces, beautiful detail work Madeleine. Thank you Andrea showcasing both crochet, knitting and rug hooking. Loved the episode thank you.
Noma’s designs are gorgeous and very flattering for us women that find it hard to find patterns for our body types. I have to try her cardigan pattern 😍
My two beautiful favorite young lady’s, thank you for an other interesting and inspiring episode, I saved it, so I can watch it again. I love you 😘 ladies, you are both talented and beautiful woman🤗.✌️✊👌👍🙋♀️🇦🇲
Wow! Thanks so much for featuring Noma and her wonderful designs. I've already purchased her Khanyisa cardigan. I've been searching for such a cardigan to use some very special alpaca yarn spun from my sister's small herd. I was also so impressed with Noma's other designs. I think her designs will appeal to a wide range of knitters.
Great interview with Sue. Coincidentally, I received an email newsletter from Sue yesterday and found out about the Free Trial Firestarter course which I've signed up for. Looking forward to starting it today.
Andrea, you and Madeline are doing an excellent job presenting Fruity Knitting. The chess set pieces are knitted beautifully and I can see they are lots of fun to play with. Both of your guests are so talented and I am grateful for your interviews. Good luck with your beautiful knitting project, I love the yarn color choices. It’s a classic pattern. 😊
Ioved every minute of this episode, really wonderful, inspiring and it was very touching to see your plan to have Madeline,Andrew and you knitting together ❤️
Madeleine your rug is so beautiful!! More so than the original. You are quite the talent (besides being beautiful, polite, classy, sweet, well spoken, and smart!) Too bad my single sons are a bit too young for you. You will be an amazing daughter in law to some fortunate lady someday! 😊. ❤
I really love your chess set - it’s so much fun - both to knit and to play with after it’s finished. I have a small knitting Zoom group on Sundays and I mentioned this in there - hopefully one or more of them will look for your podcasts.
I loved the interview with Sue! Her work reminds me of Sophie Digard and the Kaffe Fasset design group. Very timely as I am designing a marled tunisian crochet shawl inspired with your talk with Cecelia Campochiaro. Lovely episode!
Wonderful episode… love Madeleine's chess set 🤩 Andrea your Moonstruck sweater will be gorgeous…. So you ! I loved Sue Maton wish she did knitting workshops 😂 Noma was endearing and I too loved the Fairy Shawl and am going now to buy it 😊 An enjoyable afternoon spent with you
Thank you so much for this episode! I have recently been crocheting again just to vary my projects instead of knitting all the time and this episode could not have been timed more perfectly. I'm feeling incredibly inspired by Ms. Maton's creative process.
What a wonderful episode, every section was fascinating - oh to have you on terrestrial TV!! But wait!? as soon as the episode started both of us watching together, we said 2 new jumpers. Have we seen your jumpers before? Thank you for all your work ❤

Hope you both have been well and taking it easy after the last few years, hope you get to come home again soon 🇦🇺 I see the channel is growing in leaps and bounds, your guests are so varied and interesting - which is fantastic. Sending love from across the pond 🇦🇺
Brilliant episode...so much to gain inspiration from.....loved every aspect of this....I was introduced to crochet when I was 10 years old for a school project and have crocheted and knitted ever since. Just started picking up my crochet again so a perfect time for me to find this episode.
this is the first time i watch one of your episodes in quite a while, and i enjoyed it very much. This was a fabulous episode! Thank you for the introductions to both your guests. Also comforting to learn that Andrea needs to frog from time to time also, despite your exceptional skills!
Another superb episode! I never thought I would see a granny square blanket that I find interesting- this one certainly is! And I appreciate the description of how the colors are chosen!
Loved this episode so much!!! Incredible variety and inspiration from both of the featured designers and a nice visit with Andrea and Madeleine. What could be better company on a cold February afternoon.
So inspirational! This one is on my rewatch list!! So much creativity to feed from, including the videography, interview questions, and visual interest of the video itself... as always, such a beautiful job that you do!
You do really put some beautiful videos together. I really enjoyed the music with noma, and just all the little subtle touches to your video. Thank you. Your videos are some of the only ones I watch all the way through, and avidly. 💜 🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘
Fantastic episode! Every segment as informative and intriguing as the next. The rug hooking was absolutely fabulous, to my eye, and not unlike what I see out my window at the moment - pale sky, bare dark branches, and yellow-tinged brown in the winter lawn here by a pond. Lots of appreciation from me to you for your extraordinary talents and expert guests.
Your “magazines” continue to impress. Another great edition. Buuut. Madeline- you are hitting it out if the ballpark with your playful (pun intended) chess set. It is so much fun. Another great episode.
Another beautiful and informative episode. Even though I will never tackle the chess set or any of the crochet projects they are wonderful to see. I also really enjoyed the segment with Noma. The Fairy Leaf Wrap also caught my eye!! Thanks for all you do to bring us this inspiration. ❤ from Vancouver Island, Canada.
Another packed episode full of interesting and inspiring information! Just a heads up, maybe someone else has mentioned it already, but the Dutch painter is Rachel Ruysch (not Rausch). Love the interview with Sue Maton from the Mercerie. So tempting to do one of her courses to further my crochet skills and have a beautiful end product (I am more of a knitter). I am a long-time patron (since 2016, how time flies) and love supporting Fruity Knitting! Thank you for your hard work and dedication, Lila
Wonderful episode! I have just discovered Sue Maton too and am doing her Gloria capelet class. I am really loving it and am considering doing her wall flower blanket class. My only hold back is I have so many unfinished projects right now I know I need to finish! But we will see how my self discipline holds out! LOL
Great episode and I found the colour information fascinating. Thank you!
That’s was truly inspiring, once again you have managed to educate and inspire me to be bolder with my knitting.
I will be making my colour wheel soon.
Thank you so much for the great content

Thank you for introducing Noma to us. Her clean designs and use of solid colour are a breath of fresh air.
I also enjoyed her gorgeous patterns. Great technique and lovely color use.
I agree Marg...very talented lady indeed!

Madeleine your rug is so beautiful!! More so than the original. You are quite the talent (besides being beautiful, polite, classy, sweet, well spoken, and smart!) Too bad my single sons are a bit too young for you. You will be an amazing daughter in law to some fortunate lady someday! 😊. ❤
PS. Been a patron for years and think its money well invested, have loved and learned from every program.
We're very glad that you find value in what we produce! Thank you for your support.

Wonderful post! Noma is a revelation! I really need to do more crochet...
such a great episode!
Hello from St.Louis Missouri!
What a wonderful episode, every section was fascinating - oh to have you on terrestrial TV!! But wait!? as soon as the episode started both of us watching together, we said 2 new jumpers. Have we seen your jumpers before? Thank you for all your work ❤
I lost you for a while in my notifications and am rapt I saw you pop up again.
Hope you both have been well and taking it easy after the last few years, hope you get to come home again soon 🇦🇺 I see the channel is growing in leaps and bounds, your guests are so varied and interesting - which is fantastic.

Personally i crochet much more than i knit, i liked that you added that in your scope:-> Andrea, I find it touching how you are going to incorporated your late husband into your hooked rug ( you don't know this but i am one of those who "walked" and prayed with you during that painful time)- i was wondering how you are doing. Seeing the "Knitters from around the World" title brought me back to a thought/question i used to have back when and that is: are you familiar with the shepherds up in the Andes( i think it's Peru) who kit these amazing double colored hats, with the parts that cover the ears with the lama designs and such. I saw a documentary of them decades ago and was so impacted by how they knit with 12 needles, standing along their herd- mostly men actually. Of course you might have mentioned them on one of your programs, sorry i haven't watched them all ! Also , is there a way i can get your snail mail address- there is something i would like to send you ( it's not yarn ;-> ). It was fun to be reminded how you love music and choose such beautiful piece for us to hear and thank you for mentioning what that African song was, i had been sitting here asking myself"what is it saying?"~ ( i have more to say and will stop here, :->) Blessings to you both !!
Great show.! All the content is exciting and inspiring. I'm bookmarking those wraps by Norma:)
So inspirational! This one is on my rewatch list!! So much creativity to feed from, including the videography, interview questions, and visual interest of the video itself... as always, such a beautiful job that you do!
What a marvelous episode. Just love it 💘

What a fascinating episode! And I’m not even a knitter or a crochet person!
Another wonderful episode…thanks for introducing us to new guests, as well as the wonderful Nataja Hornby designs. The chess set is amazing, btw
I love the chess set. ❤️♟️
Wonderful designs by Noma and they’ve worked up absolutely beautifully! 💕
Thank you Fruity Knitting for the introduction! 👍

I ❤ granny squares, but need more exciting designs. These are amazing! I may need to pull out my crochet hook and start working. 😊
Wonderful episode! I have just discovered Sue Maton too and am doing her Gloria capelet class. I am really loving it and am considering doing her wall flower blanket class. My only hold back is I have so many unfinished projects right now I know I need to finish! But we will see how my self discipline holds out! LOL
