    Huh, i have the lighting version, and i gotta say i really dig the normal version's box.
    Really loving the white background

      darkspine133 I loved that Bandai stuck with the aesthetics of the original PG 00 Raiser, it helps tie them together.

    Nice review! Hopefully in the future reggie you’ll have the top down view for your camera so you’ll have an easier way to present the contents of the kit! Cheers!

    Great review! I like version more, not because it's more cheaper but because i don't need them lights. It's an amazing piece but that price tho, geez lolol.

      The PG Exia is a kit where its excellent with or without the LED unit, though if you really want it a 3rd party company just out with a cheaper alternative that doesn't hurt the wallet too much.

    I miss the inner frame details and internal gimmicks myself, that's the main gripe I have with this kit myself.
    That and the Lightning is far too expensive.

    • @ReggieSmith101rsmith
      @ReggieSmith101rsmith  6 лет назад

      ExtremeSManpig It seems since the PG Strike Bandai has tried to simplify PG kits to maybe not seem so daunting, the build for this felt like an advanced MG kit. While I personally liked the frame I can see why some would be upset.

      I think you can fix it with buy the parts, on indonesia you can buy it amoung $90.

    I have a question, this model kit is just like the Lightning model kit but without the led right?
    I planned to buy the kit and the led unit seperately so I just want to make sure

    • @ReggieSmith101rsmith
      @ReggieSmith101rsmith  3 года назад

      Champaman Bandai started selling the LED unit separately about a year ago. If you want the normal version now you can get the LED unit later and it’ll include the instructions to install it as you build Exia.

      @@ReggieSmith101rsmith downside is that the lighting version is no longer produced meaning no sick box art from the lighting version. Oh well. My LED set comes next week and I just grabbed the Exia a couple days ago.

    • @ReggieSmith101rsmith
      @ReggieSmith101rsmith  5 лет назад

      @@ForgedHorizons Really? Bandai very seldomly discontinues a model kit or a variation so long as it's not P-Bandai; just 3 years ago they reprinted nearly every Gunpla to exist in their catalogue dating back to the 80s. I hope its as simple as they're not in rotation, but the 3rd party set from LED from Dragon Momoko is an amazing alternative.

    • @ForgedHorizons

      One more inquiry what are the chances Bandai announces a PG RX-93 after the Metal Structure release. Which PG do u think we get next and how long?

    • @ReggieSmith101rsmith
      @ReggieSmith101rsmith  4 года назад

      David Lenshyn If I had to guess? I’d say we get a 2.0 of RX-78 and then Barbatos by the 10th anniversary of Iron Blooded Orphans

    • @8474Starscream
      @8474Starscream 4 года назад

      @@ReggieSmith101rsmith That would be epic. But man I would love an RX-93 sadly the Metal Structure was just to much. Now that I think of it I would have traded in Several Metal Builds for MS. I have a bunch of older PG's staged including RX-78-2 been putting off due to being antiquated.....spoiled cherry picking MG's and HiRM action. Hitting Exia next then Strike.....do u have the PG Blue Astray? Contemplating picking up.

    @Reggie Smith
    You should've gotten the Lighting Mode version. I ended up buying 3x of the Lighting Mode ver.
    Yea all brand new mold, but Bandai is probably goign to reuse it for PG GN-001 Gundam Exia [Trans Am] and also probably a PG GN-001REII Gundam Exia Repair II.
    Then there's the confirmed P-Bandai, PG GN-001RE Gundam Exia Repair add on set.

    • @ReggieSmith101rsmith
      @ReggieSmith101rsmith  6 лет назад +1

      I just couldn't afford the Lighting Version; it would've cost double the normal release which I don't have at any given time, plus I've got college to worry about. Though I am hearing rumors that a 3rd party has already developed their own LEDs for PG Exia so maybe not all hope is lost.

    • @hs.7037
      @hs.7037 6 лет назад +1

      Reggie Smith the problem is u will need to take the whole kit apart. And the third party LEDs might not be as good as BanDai's. As in not colour changing.

    • @ReggieSmith101rsmith
      @ReggieSmith101rsmith  6 лет назад +1

      Stryderprime was able to get his hands on a 3rd party unit for the PG Exia and from what I saw of his build it worked just since and had the same function as the official release.

    • @xxnike0629xx
      @xxnike0629xx 6 лет назад

      @Reggie Smith
      Honestly, it's no surprise that we are seeing third party/bootleg releases of the LED units. Not everyone is willing to or maybe cannot afford the higher retail price of the 'Lightning Mode' version when really the huge difference in price is the LED units and the wiring.
      Honestly, it's fair but I actually ended up, saving a lot of money by cutting back on a lot and selling a lot on eBay, and I had ended up with more than enough to buy the 'Lighting Mode' version. I think it's worth spending the extra to get official everything, but it is understandable why some might opt not to in this instance.
      Bandai should have sold this as a separate P-Bandai releases, but I suppose they wanted to give more people a chance to have a full LED equipped PG instead of going the usual P-Bandai route.

      Sounds around right for this kit. However it depends if you want the Lightning Model; if you want the LED you'll be looking somewhere closer to $300, but if you're looking for a cheaper method MJH has a 3rd party LED set for about $30 so you'd be saving close to $50.
