There is a secret mode for the led. Hold the circle button for a few sec with the master switch off, then continue to hold the circle and turn the master switch on. It will cycle the sequence of the lights automatically

Gunpla Time the mg banshee ver. Ka is pretty sweet. It’s basically a mg unicorn with new colors and some gold parts. You can even swap out the new parts and make an all black unicorn
This was one of my first kits and I absolutely love it. I don’t think theres a perfect grade that can replace this thing as the center of my collection (at least until a PG Barbatos is made)
I picked up this kit at a Deseret industry store in slc Utah in there collectors case for 75 bucks. The only thing missing was the instructions, i had never built one of the these big ones before, altogether it took me about a month.
Just bought it, crazy it´s been 10 years now. Ngl i found out about Gunplas just a couple weeks ago. Im for sure gonna buy more in prolly a month or so.

a good yet sad experience that I had with this kit was that both shoulders snapped off but the great news is with some extremely strong glue I was able to put it back to it's full potential and this this is sturdy as all heck and everything else on the kit is very slightly janky but it all works out in the end. and yes I put all of the stickers on it and yes it was a LOT but worth it in the end. Great love and pride towards you Mecha Gaikotsu and keep building and encouraging other people to build kits you amazing Gunpla builder!
if you do get another PG of the Unicorn Frame, go for the RX-0 03 Phenex, also PLEASE do a review of the RG RX-0 03 Gundam Phenex because its my favorite of the Unicorn Frame and I plan on getting the RG Phenex to complete the trio.
Well I remember having the same problems with the MG Unicorn for the transformation, feels fragile. Might be worthwhile comparing the sturdiness of the two kits against one another

It's never too late to get any good PG kit (unless it goes out of print). Ive been modeling for a couple years now and just got into gunpla a couple months ago and yesterday I just purchased my first PG! Unicorn!
@Mecha Gaikotsu I also have a PG Unicorn Gundam. Though I don't know how old exactly mine is I'm fairly certain it is a couple of years old and apart from the wrist it has no problem holding up its weapons.
So I just built this kit and I can say the unicorn can’t hold its weapons so I recommend tightening the joints in the elbows,knees, and the thighs so it can hold itself up a lot better
When I was watching this I was loading up minecraft, and when he did the part where he takes the attachment point off the shield and splits it into three parts it dinged to tell me the game was loaded. The timing was too perfect.

Hell yeah it can happen...my PG Wing Gundam ZEROCustom was basically unable to be built at all because several parts were missing. My PG Zeta Gundam had a polycap in the thigh break as I was assembling it. Nothin' too serious, but it does cause the leg to fit a bit loosely. Am I a glutton for punishment in wanting the old PG RX78-2 Gundam (cuz the new & upcoming PG Unleashed version is too heavy for my wallet right now)???
I went all out with painting my PG Mk II Gundam. Super detailed frame, weathering, the lot. Put it on display. Two days later one ankle joint gave out and it nosed dived and absolutely shattered on the floor. 3 months work in the bin, the foot just couldn’t hold any weight

Btw there are multiple versions of pg unicorn gundam (green psychoframe and six Gatling gun and three shields (put them together if you built the full armor unicorn Ver Ka or the mgex unicorn gundam Ver Ka)) and pg banshee norn (green psychoframe). But depending on your income it is expensive. Phenex also is expensive but if you want it to be Phenex NT ver, there is an expansion set for that or find the pg Phenex NT ver. I think Plan B/perfectability had a pg as well. There were 2 re colours as well. There is a Phenex which had a black body and a purple psychoframe and a unicorn gundam China red ( it's basically unicorn but with a red body and a yellow psychoframe).
5:12 Don’t get the phenex unless you are willing to pay through the nose, My god I checked the price of the perfect grade phenex and it’s nearly 700 dollars, you need rubber gloves to not get fingerprints on the gold plating and some really good and soft sanding materials to not ruin the finish.
And my bank account cries bloody murder as I have all five of the different PG Unicorn versions, but only a single led unit. It all sits in my backlog until I figure out which one gets the led unit first, or more led units are picked up. x.x
Kivuli Fenrir definitely do the phenex... you have to wear gloves to prevent the fingerprints and it’s much more of a pain in the butt to handle, but when it’s done, it’s outstanding!
yep... i have PG banshee Norn. it falls apart during transforming especially the upper arms-lower arm mechanism. i'm more critical of Upper arm joints because the PG MKII which has an "actuator" that constantly slips out of the sleeve/collar when you move the arm. btw i didnt get the LED unit because its an extra cost... my PG MKII came with LED integrated. and i had a colleague have a PG 00 Raiser which had LED units as well and personally i feel like hunting for wireless LED modules that Strange Parts showcased BTW i also have a Knockoff PG Banshee as well. might built it in the future for the lols. as for the flickering, probably need to do some rewiring for the battery modules to put a pulse frequency that's faster than cameras... Bandai knows how to charge money for basic electonics. i added a LED to an ungraded 1/100 Astrea for a few dollars

Asking because I'm considering a kitbash between the Unicorn and Banshee (which I have already) and possibly the Exia, and I'd like to know about the electronics before I proceed to build things like the chest unnecessarily.
Get the final battle version unicorn with the full armor packs. Well tbh you don't even need the final battle version. Just the base Unicorn and the full armor add on.
For the unicorn PG, yes the hand does sag because the joint is somewhat weak. Also, almost every bendable joints on this guy is gonna weaken after some time, hmm. And would you review the hi-nu ver ka? I saw it on your shelf
I've built the PG Unicorn this year, and its capable of holding the beam rifle. But the gatling/shield set is still too heavy. I'm still lazy to do the top coat, to protect the stickers and the panel lining work. Since I want to evade coating the psycho-frame, its body is in Unicorn mode, and my head is also in destroy mode. That's because its really hard to get it back into Unicorn face, without taking out the destroy mode face plate. Another issue for me is that I noticed its torso and legs are getting separated easily, and the only thing that keeps them together is the LED wiring. I thought I did something wrong, but saw Gundam Holic on his channel (who has them all, Uni, Banshee and Phenex) having the same issue.
if it came with the green psychoframe i'd probably have pulled the trigger on the PG + LED's, but since pink only went for the MG RX-0 Full armor unicorn gundam ver.ka. which is great once posed and you never touch it again...also also glue your action base (got an AB 4, likes to wiggle back and forth which with the sheer mass of the full armor with fuel tanks 2 bazooka's 3 shields and holding 4 gatling guns and a beam javalin means a weight shift from back to front will send it flying for about 0.1 sec before falling to the floor >.
Nice review, however you did miss one lighting cycle. If you press and hold the light button for I believe it is 10-15 seconds before flipping the power switch the LEDs will in fact cycle thru their various modes.
My head: This must be a Gundarium, it's too perfect. My head after the 3°transformation: Yep, no doubt, this is a Gundarium. My head after he said he would'n give a tier to this kit: Fuck everything, that thing is a Fucking Gundarium tier, and no one can change my mind. (Also, that's my opinion)

So for the weapons. I have both Unicorn and Banshee(freshly built Banshee only 2020 06 16)Phenex is impossible for me to buy.But both of them had their weapon too heavy for the wrist even without the grenade launcher of the banshee so it's just too heavy for the arm. I kinda wished it has a support at the wrist like in the Uraven Gundam Sniper Rifle.

I might be a little late here but you should do the Banshee instead of the Phenex. I don't know why but its just cooler to be black with gold accents instead of just gold.

It holds the Beam Magnum just fine. Supporting with the other arm helps too... I painted the frame on my Phenex so it hold stuff even better.

You could use a service to get the replacement for the PG. I used it before and it was very quick and customer service was nice.

Nice review, however you did miss one lighting cycle. If you press and hold the light button for I believe it is 10-15 seconds before flipping the power switch the LEDs will in fact cycle thru their various modes.

anyone notice that all the grades of transformable Unicorns kinda have the same transformation sequence short of the head?
It replicates the one from the show. I don't see how they could do it any differently.

I've been waiting for this exact episode since the beginning of time
So for the weapons. I have both Unicorn and Banshee(freshly built Banshee only 2020 06 16)Phenex is impossible for me to buy.But both of them had their weapon too heavy for the wrist even without the grenade launcher of the banshee so it's just too heavy for the arm. I kinda wished it has a support at the wrist like in the Uraven Gundam Sniper Rifle.
What are the odds. The very day I order the PG Unicorn you release a video on it! 😂

I might be a little late here but you should do the Banshee instead of the Phenex. I don't know why but its just cooler to be black with gold accents instead of just gold.

@@MechaGaikotsu There's also the Armed Armor VN/BS optional expansion parts kit for the Banshee too. Its not a must have for the Banshee but it completes the look.
