I think Boone (Kilner) worked very well with his real interest in that species and peace with them but secretly working with those Underground people. He had chemistry with most of the cast.
Liam was a million times better than Boone despite his annoying jaw drop tic he did all the time that I'm sure drove everyone nuts not just me. Boone was so hokey it was cringe worthy. Rene went well with Liam it's too bad she wasn't brought in season 2 and they wrote in a better transition for both of them right away and got rid of lily and boone together. The hair and makeup really was inconsistent like a third of the time or less Liam and Rene looked good or amazing and rest they look like shit or 10 years older than they really were. The reason certian people associate Boone being "ok" I'm sure relates more to season one having a more coherent script and production before it went off the rails.
This show was fun to watch.
This show was unique and also has that "creepy" feeling too
The level of uncanny valley was on point. I barely remember watching the pilot and a few scenes here and there and It always stuck with me.

Liam Kincaid was so badly cast in this...so was Boone.
These actors are better suited for soap operas, not sci fi....
