- A little something I put together for the beautiful Taelon, Da'an. I have used the wonderful music of a Chinese artist, Jia Peng Fang, who plays the Erhu, also known as the Niko. The Erhu was also featured in the soundtrack for Earth Final Conflict.

I really love the grace with which Leni Parker plays this beautiful alien. Da'an is the loveliest and most beautiful alien I have ever seen on tv. I am watching season 2 now, and i enjoy every moment Da'an shows up;)
actually the series is on the German TV and I feel exactly the same... something very special. Must exist somewhere in the eternety of the universe and the dimensions.
Da'an was the only Taelon to truly see humans as equals. He fought right to the end because he loved humanity.
First, nice to see that there are still comments being made on this after 11 years. Second I completely agree. I also liked the bond that he had with Liam and how it parallels the turbulent yet connected dynamic which existed humans and the Taelons. I really wish that they would’ve focused more on this rather than moving in a direction that they did for seasons 3 onward.
As much as I liked Daan, he did order the death of Boones wife, proving that he is willing to kill to get what he wants. He is also willing to lie,, manipulate and steal.. Which means his hands aren't clean, respect for humanity as a whole aside. Zoor was at least honest, he hated humanity but was open to the fact that humanity was a means to an end.
Leni created something beautiful with this character. An alien race who sense, and speak, with their eyes and hands.
I miss you Da'an my beautiful Taelon :'(
Leni Parker's (Da'an) voice is the same, as they just lowered it a bit for the Taelon. She has a gentle voice, extremely expressive eyes and she gestures when she speaks sometimes. She really does embody Da'an :)

With good shows like these preserved on the Internet, the only good things television has to offer are the news and public educational shows.
It bothers me that I only feel the longing and sadness and love for a thing, long after it's gone. EFC hasn't been real for 20 years and I love it more than I love my life now.
Dude if you love a show more than your life, you need some professional help.

The first few Seasons of Earth Final Conflict were mostly true to Gene's view and story. However the network went in an entirely different direction with it, not sticking to what he envisioned in the last few seasons. This is why Majel Roddenberry left the show. That said, this is a truly beautiful tribute to Da'an, thank you for posting it.
This is a great video! Absolutely wonderful to see our beloved Boone/Da'an in at least a few scenes again... How I miss those two....
He is so amazing, I always loved to watch him. That was my favorite taelon.

Good job. Da'an is truely beautiful. He was my favourite Taelon, but by the looks of it, you probibly get these type of comments on him alot. He was so calm, and peaceful. He was the best Taelon. I really hate that I was too young to actually see the show when it was on air. :( I have to watch it elsewhere... This video was great!
Da'an was the only Taelon to side with the Human Resistance. Da'an proved that in the mirror universe.
Earth Final Conflict highlights the acting talent that women possess as evidenced by the actors who played Da'an and Zo'or
To the average western listener, asian instruments and melodies are the most foreign, yet are evocative at the sametime. IT was an intruiging, and telling choice, to use these instruments to compose an alien theme song with beauty and grace and wisdom.
+Medalion asian? is there some celtic instruments too? whats the air instrument that dominates around the middle of the song ad resembles a high pitch opera voice ?
How I loved the show and Beautiful Da'an who was such a wonderful being and who was the whole show. Thanks so much for this lovely presentation of how I too viewd Da'an.

Now over the time I think the secret of his attraction - is his ENLIGHTENED personality... he is constantly in a state of balance and love - for himsels and for others. ... his internal reactiona and actions - everything has glimpses of divinity... In ancient times, people have called such persons gods, we in nowdays percieve him as 'an alien'...
...Here I have a question - why these all interesting and important metaphysical subjects (Earth final conflict.. Matrix.. and so on) is suddenly ceased in the movies after 2000?... Somebody knows the answer?..

Hollywood can’t write anymore. I don’t think many of them have read real philosophy or science to a reasonable level. They therefore cannot think about mystical or philosophical themes that well. You can often find these early sci-fi shows written by people who had read deeply in science and technology and philosophy even psychology. They had deep thought because they had things to think about.
Modern tv and film writers don’t do that as much so all they can do is substitute gimmicks and wild action in place of thought. Or you know, turn Klingons into BTS. Which I think is bad mostly because modern culture desperately needs to have someone bringing up these big sorts of questions about life and our place in it.

Thank you :) The music was performed by Jia Peng Fang on the Erhu. I was unable to find his name in the anime series you mention so you may be mistaken. The song is called Silent Moon from Jia's albim "River". The erhu is a 2-stringed instrument often called a Chinese fiddle. It is not a flute. You can look up both this artist and the erhu on You Tube :)
i wish all the Taelons were good. Da'an has such a mesmerizing voice/mannerisms. I love him!

I'm with you on that one. Zo'or was my favorite character on the show and I think it would have spiced things up more if he was in it. God I miss this show! I want it back!

Da'an was clearly a favorite. A bit of My'al remained. THe conflict the talons faced with death of a species, and our conflict with each other. We learned to over coem and unite, as well as the last talon made it clear it was our conflict that mattered, so humanity coudl reach through the universe and bring that struggle, and love to many species.

When Da an speaks he positions his fingers like Budda and Jesus something I've noticed , this was beautiful and sad to me almost teared up ,I guess I still can love and feel in this negative society . Peace
@Ivyad i think maybe because the actress happened to have an androgynous face which fit the character of Da'an who is an adrogynous male extraterrestrial.
I suppose they could have chosen a guy, since there are androgynous/feminine- looking men out there too. Maybe the androgyny of the Taelon reflects the mysterious, ambiguous/omnipotent nature of extraterriestrial beings, if they are more advanced than us.

@Ivyad No, I doubt it. All the actresses who play Taelons are pretty and one - the one who played T'than, has done a bit of modeling if I'm not mistaken. But to look at them on the street, you'd never know they played these Taelons.

@ShogunCherryBlade It *is* the full version of the song in the video, and in fact I extended it to make it longer. If you watch the video all the way to the end you will also see I give the name of the song as well as the artist and even the name of the album it came off of. I *always* credit the music I use.
They are an alien race called the Taelons. They are androgynous, possessing no gender. They are played by females wearing bodysuits to give them a more male appearance. Taelons are referred to as "he", which sounds better than "it". Their voices are digitally altered to sound unique and like neither gender. You can find clips around You Tube if you want to hear what they sound like. Hope this helps! Thanx for commenting :)

No worries,...I see 'God' as both masculine and feminine. Da'an appears to have a stronger 'feminine' side to his personality. The fact is we are all bi-sexual in a way

@Ivyad i didnt say she(the actress) had a masculine face; shes actually very pretty, i just meant that androgynous-looking men AND women have faces that arent really male or female looking. so either of them could represent a feminine-looking male(like Da'an) or just an androgynous person in general. i think a lady can have a pretty face and also look androgynous(non-gender specific facial features), and some men too.

I also didn't like the fat that they got rid of Augur I couldn't stand street you should make an Augaur video he was great, But you did an Awesome job with this video.

Yeah I goofed, it wasnt that...when it first starts off it resembles a different song from one of the InuYasha movies "Affections touching across time", but that was played with the piano and flute
Some of the instrumentation sounds similar to Inuyasha's Touching Affections Across Time. I look forward to watching all season of EFC as well as Andromeda, I gotta find the time lol

I think season five with at adavis would of been better if they kept the Zor adavas in it instead of that dumb one which i cannot remeber his name.
