Rene was part of the resistance and never really liked the Taelons and helped out because of Liam. As she is leaving, the last remaining Taelon suggests that she come with them. She told him no and wants to just get back to a world without Taloens, etc. Both talk her into coming along, as she could bring back vast knowledge and she agrees. As Liam asks if she will like this new phase of her life, she looks at him, grins, looks out and says - "Let's find out." and the ship sails away!
Sounds good to me. Still, they did what they could with the talent they had. It was a cool show. Boone & Renee would have had issue, as would Liam & Lili. Both of the women would have been head-strong and the guys would have been "Whoa Whoa Whoa, Listen!" (Boone) and 'Now - see. That's why we have GOT to do this thing THIS way!' (Liam) LOL
Most of them die, but one survives and in the end, they get the ship up and running and then Liam & Rene sail off to explore the cosmos with the last Taelon. Pretty cool ending to a fine series.
You did a fantastic job. So wonderful, so sad...Just on right time - today EFC did start again in germany. ^^ I wish Majel Barrett ( or Eugene ) would start a EFC reunion...
A good video to a GREAT series! I always have Styx's "Come Sail Away" in mind at the series finale, as Liam and Rene are leaving with the Companion and streak off into hyperdrive! 'I thought that they were angles / Come to my surprise / We climbed aboard their starship / And headed for the skies...........' Someone should try that on this site. THAT would be cool!
Thanx so much for the comment :) :) :) I know the song you're talking about but I am only vaguely familiar with the 5th season of the show as it didn't hold my interest. But I like EFC vids and I'd have a look if someone made it :)
Well, in that case, what about Scully from "X-Files". Would she have been about the same in this role? The show was fun, interesting and did come up with some cool sci-fi "innovations".
