I have always followed Joseph’s work, his videos on RUclips are inspiring. He was one of my earliest influencers. Although I don’t paint like him, they still thrill me. I’m currently going crazy with color and texture contrast. Glad to know and see others appreciate him!

Do you know Sergei Andriyaka (yes he has a very unusual surname) he is a watercolor artist that makes full sheet or less or more paintings without a sketch on his paper and he does not have any references except one pencil sketch. He sometimes uses bristle brushes for his paintings and he is Russian. He also owns the watercolor school and the watercolor academy that are located in Moscow. So if you are interested in him I would love a video about Andriyaka.

Like most artists, Joseph has told you many things, but he never discloses some of the tricks of the trade that he obviously understands !

one thing to remember is that many of these artist have spent literally a fortune of paper, brushes and paint. Plus thousands of hours of their time. If you were painting all day on huge sheets of the most expensive cotton paper with high end paints and brushes while studying books and other learning recources then you would probably get darn good after a few years

Joseph is actually self taught. He started painting while studying/working as a car illustrator of sorts. His is a natural talent.

Hi, Joseph Z, to me, seems to use a lot of smoke or cloud effects that soften the appearance of the entire picture. Question: how does he achieve that smoke/cloud effect? By lifting, or by gouache, or other means?

    Hi Matthew.
I tried to follow the link to the free lesson and tried to subscribe.
It does not seem to work at all for me.

Would you as a watercolour artist paint in watercolour if you had only 30 minutes a day? If so how? I am unable to paint in such short time as watercolour needs lot of contemplation and thinking...before each wash. What is your opinion?

Here's what I noticed: Joseph draws only male silhouettes in his works)))
try to find a female at least somewhere?😂
