Again this is 4 months ago that I wrote this comments . Again people apprentist , look !! He makes the connections between every layer horizontally ( and vertically) so subtil that you dont see it at the first sight but working this way he makes a masterpiece. Working with watercolors is knowing when you have to add the following strike when the previous strike is just dry enough to let the water make the connection between the two layers. Congratiolations Joseph I would like to meet you but I am 70 years old and travelling is a job. One day , watercolor paintings will be accept as valuable as oil paintings , only there is a emotional journey to be done for the critics and spectaters. For me it is the art form that is the most direct connected to Music art. I hope for you that in your lifetime you'll get the respect that you deserve
Every time I look this demo , It makes me crying of the beautiness that Joseph brings to us with his watercolor paintings. Using the fantastic charestiristics of the basic water at that way brings me down to earth. People don't realize , but for me this is at the leavel of Vincent. This is Art at the highest level !!
I love watching him see and then work the multiple layers. I so enjoyed his earlier clips on RUclips. His urban paintings are worked similarly. Awesome
People complaining about usage of white paint have to understand there are a lot of opaque pigments in watercolors besides white ones. Cadmiums, Chromiums, Earths, some blues (i.e. Cerulean).
Joseph Z was once my very favorite watercolor artist. His talent cannot be denied, but now in his later works, and at least in this demo, his use of white detracts from the fresh, magical uniqueness of watercolor. He might as well now be painting with acrylics.
Joseph Zbukvic’s work is a big inspiration for me, the reason I started to paint. I’ve recently started a channel with watercolor demos & lessons. If you’re interested please check it out! 😊
Castagnet makes this guy look like the amateur that he will always be. Mud can't be saved with white paint. Alvaro is a master, but Z is a 'product designer' making every scene look the same. Sorry but I think many watercolorists today have a much better color handling ability than Zb.
They're probably more concerned about rules, instead of enjoying the end result. If the painting is great who cares abou gouache? I never understood the whole discussion. There are great paintings made of simply anything from pen to chalk, charcoal, pure pigments, sand or paper but when a watercolor painter uses gouache, the great discussion suddenly sets in. Anything that pleases and works is allowed and there are no rules in art. Who wants to live by rules, should focus on crossword puzzles not on art.

Looking at how confident his brush strokes are, I think it's safe to say he's done this before 😉
Great demonstration of Zbukvic's "water color clock"
We're so lucky these videos exist. Thank you. It's like watching Monet.
An exquisite brush handler!
Best watercolor painter on RUclips. from NORWAY
So beautiful I love your art Joseph.
Such a treat to see JosephZ paint. This is delightful. Thank you for sharing it!
Nice to see the Artist actually drawing first, rather then starting the video after they've traced the image down on the paper.
I love watching him see and then work the multiple layers. I so enjoyed his earlier clips on RUclips. His urban paintings are worked similarly. Awesome
Amazing to watch him sculpt structures out with watercolor. Very much enjoyed it
Simple but sometimes beautiful❤ 🌎🌷💐🙏😊
amazing how he can make a mess into a masterpiece!
Maravilloso🎉🎉🎉
I love your warm grey. I make it up ahead of time and it is in my plein air box. Great warm and I enjoy your paintings very much.
)
So inspiring!!! Thanks Mr. Z. you are unique!!!
Best of the World!
Felicitaciones... eres espectacular. Un abrazo.
Awesome, thank you so much for sharing it
He works it till he gets what he wants. "Groping" is part of the process for many artists.
I’ve really enjoyed watching you paint, thank you !
Amazing those textures
I am a fan!
Amazing! Thank you for sharing!!!!!

Ann Marie from Nova Scotia, enjoyed painting with your group last March. Thanks to Carol C.
A very enjoyable video of Joseph at his easel at his creation and at his best !
Dusan Djukarić is much better
Una maravilla verte pintar
¡¡Gracias!!
Love it!
Maravilloso!!
Actually a hard scene to paint.
wonderful demo

So great love it
What a valuable class for the water use in all the criation process! (Mara from Brazil)
Subsribe please 😊
Enorme acuarelista
❤😊
I have watched this video so many times. It’s amazingly inspirational for the hard natural works. I wonder what white you’re using.
masterful
Thanks for sharing!
Inspiring 💕. What color green is that? Please. Terry, CA USA

Exquisitely beautiful no matter what medium Opaque or Transparent watercolour he’s still the best 👍🎨
No , you should use as much white as possible just to screw the stinking snobby purists like you!
@@margaretmaguire3329 He's the second best. Alvaro is the best LOL!
It's the result which counts. His pictures are phenomenal, so who cares if he reaches it with or without gouache? There are no rules in art.
linda pintura
Thank you for sharing it! This is delightful.
where can I bye the first bruish you used? and what is her name/size?
I believe that's one from his own line of Escoda brushes. Looks quite large, maybe a 14 or 16..?
Which tape you use for locking paper on board sir ?
Joseph Zbukvic’s work is a big inspiration for me, the reason I started to paint. I’ve recently started a channel with watercolor demos & lessons. If you’re interested please check it out! 😊
Beautiful work.. and you get a sub to.. what make and where do you get your brushes from?
holbein sq black resable
thank you
Too bad can't see original sightseeing
A master at manipulating paint.
Cómo maneja el color! todos quebrados!!

I love the work of both Castagnet and Zbukvic. Both 'rescue' using white gouache; and as you know, gouache is opaque watercolour.
Dear friends, JESUS CHRIST will heal COVID-19 and all the problems 100% as per his words. He is the HEAVENLY FATHER.
He better be working on a vaccine, bro.
It was a hoax . Jesus was laughing.
Beware..this is a copyrighted work..it shouldn't be here
Beware ... fuck you, so what?
This is bad.
This painting is Very Muddy.
Composition is Awful.
Totally Ridiculous Painting.
Seen your other paintings.
This is Not Acceptable.
I love to see the way you use the round brush and water color you blend look so impressive and inspiring.
Look at him using white! Why do people cry so much about using white? It has its place.
Yes , I say if the purists say you must not use white; then use it in large quantities.

I think our beloved Master struggled with this one.
Let them complain … at the end of the day the only thing that matters is the quality of the painting
Wonderful!
watercolor leave the space (white) instead of add white color
I think he is getting a good misty morning feel and you cannot get that leaving the paper white
Great!
