This movie was excellent.. just finished watching it, and the acting was top notch; both Weisz and Shannon are magnetic and keep you glued to the screen, the writing felt honest and believable, the story was interesting, the pacing fluid. I really enjoyed it. It is very thought provoking, and there was something about it, its mood, its characters, that made it feel unique.....special somehow, like a memory flashing before your eyes. Watch it, it is worth it.
I'm an artist and love art films. I love Rachel Weisz films. Swept From The Sea is one of my all time favorites but this movie was pathetic. It was beyond boring! The concept was great. They could have really created a phenomenal story line if they had gone in a different direction. An ex-girlfriend that happens to show up is an excellent concept. She mysteriously disappeared and lived nine different lives, excellent concept full of intrigue. But they blew it with too much filler material. We didn't need to go to the elderly woman's home who hurt her leg. We didn't need to experience quick flashes of Alice's many lives that didn't make any sense in the movie for the longest time. We needed more show not tell. They should have created more conflict between Tom and his wife and Alice. After Tom is MIA at the bar for hours after disappearing with Alice his wife says Nothing after he finally returns? Seriously? She just sits there in silence smoking a cigarette? Unrealistic! What they should have done is elaborate more on Alice's nine lives instead of Tom quickly flipping through a photo album of her adventures. I watched this film in a room full of intellectuals and we all felt the same. Some wanted to turn it off but I kept saying "It has to get better" "there must be a point in all of this." While there was an eventual point to it, (if you say so) the story line lacked. We all agreed it was one of the worst films we've ever seen, if not the worst. One friend said, "the frogs were the highlight of the film." lol
Is this about how Eve and Alex vanished from The Mummy in the 3rd movie and fooled everyone? Like, you left with a British son, then he had no accent the next movie.. Didn't think we'd notice your look-alike didn't look anything like you either!
She's not ignored by Hollywood, she won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar; had a major role in 'The Mummy' ~ wasn't that a successful H'wood movie? And she's married to Daniel Craig ~ HEY! What's this about being ignored by Tin seltown???
Lisa Merle I'm talking about now!! This was over 10 years ago!! She did a great movie called "Youth" that was kind of popular, and she was incredible in it, her performance blew my mind and she was just completely ignored by the awards and that keeps hapenning, cuz she's great in every role but she doesn't get a lot of recognition in them.
This movie is only outside the realms of the imagination of the generation growing up under a microscope. Life before the web was much easier to stay under the radar & live by your rules. The true meaning of Freedom died 16 years ago. This looks good.
Well, they're worth 292 BILLION. Realistically, they could produce every single movie that comes out in the next 20 years. This was probably made with the money Jeff Bezos found in his couch cushions.
We have man, we already have. Can't wait for my midnight special bluray currently. Its his only movie i haven't seen. Oh, I almost forgot to watch his funny or die video today.
I think this is one of those movies that takes you on a deep journey and makes you think about it days after watching it. I'm very interested and love to see it, but at the same time i'm a bit scared that I'd get too into it and end up depressed... I should find someone to watch these kinds of films with so I can talk about it, as non of my friends ever want to watch stuff like this...

Watched this last night. Really great film. The trailer gives it all away but 100% worth a watch. Rachel Weisz is great in this and Michael Shannon was incredible. The dinner table scene was so real. I felt like I was actually sitting in on the whole thing. The suspense shot my anxiety way up!
Definitely, he's one of my favorites. If you haven't seen Take Shelter or Midnight Special check those out. He's great in both of those plus the stories are great.
Amazing trailer......reveals just enough to create curiosity and intrigue.....I will watch anything the lovely Rachel Weisz is in........she is a fascinating piece of creature.....so emotionally captivating and visceral that it's hard to look elsewhere when she's around.
This is like my fantasy comes true. Except I'm a guy. I think the story is about her using her creative genius side of her mind almost without boundaries. Like being an actor but you choose your own scenes, just because you have the ability to be true to the many characters you create. But there must be a reason why she seems like she doesn't wanna have a settled root.
Rachel Weisz è un attrice di grande talento può interpretare qualsiasi ruolo estroversa col pubblico e disponibile al dialogo nelle interviste senza darsi arie inutili.unica.
It's called 'Complete Unknown', I don't think they mean to tell you everything so clearly, they want to make you curious so you watch the movie, it's what you call a good trailer.
"As a man contemplates moving to a new state with his wife for her graduate program, an old flame - a woman who often changes identities - reenters his life at a birthday dinner party" Just read the description
The pretender TV show turn into a movie? Sorry, is an old TV show back in 90s. The person in the show pretend to be everyone, even being a doctor, police, fireman, teacher... etc. He's somewhat like her, undetected and hard to catch by taking different identities.
This is much more than changing your identity its about limitation. Imagine the feeling of beeing free and be whoever you want and leave everything behind you. Forget all your problems and just start over, disapear. havent you even wish to do that?
Omg what a rare occurrence- Someone actually had the answer to the question "what song is this" in a YT comment section, and even more astonishing no one said "Darude-Sandstorm"
Have to say I really enjoyed this film! It was way better than I expected it to be after reading many negative reviews. The acting was great. Always enjoy seeing Weisz and Shannon. The cinematography was well made and beautiful. The story was really interesting. It made me think about what freedom is and what is considered being in a "trap". Is it worth being free from all strings attached(life, people, career) and cutting yourself off from human connection or is it better to form love and relations between people and live a mundane life? The middle point in this equation is difficult to find I think. I did have some criticisms about it. First, I wish the ending was a bit more developed. I felt it ended abruptly. Second, some of the writing was flawed. SPOILER: the scene when Alice or Jenny is in the dance club after meeting Tom's friends, Alice reveals that she was in a Chinese performance theater for a while as she's speaking with Tom. All of a sudden, Tom's friends overhear this story and then completely overreact realizing that her stories aren't consistent. The response Tom's friends had was not normal because they suddenly attacked her and called her a pathological liar. It just wasn't believable. This type of reaction is just not normal in a social setting especially when you first meet someone. No matter how much you've lied or told inconsistent stories, you don't have an outburst like that. I know the woman from the dinner scene was skeptical of Alice from the get go, but that doesn't warrant personal attacks. Overall, this was an intriguing film. The writers and director did a good job. The story and philosophical musings were unique. However, I feel like this film had way more potential than its final product. It could have been a masterpiece or just a very strong film with just some tweaks. Though I still enjoyed it and would probably watch it again. The soundtrack was excellent by the way! I hope they release it soon or at least reveal the songs used. Does anyone know what the first end credits song was?
This seems much more depression-oriented versus some type of Bourne legacy kind of flick. It seems pretty obvious to me but idk I guess we'll see when it comes out.

Rachel Weisz ages like a fine wine.
*****
Crazy isn't it?
yes
She really is a beautiful woman. I just looked her up and was quite shocked to learn she’s 49! She looks decades younger than her age.

It's pretty criminal to stop Rachel Weisz from using that beautiful accent
Is this about how Eve and Alex vanished from The Mummy in the 3rd movie and fooled everyone?
Like, you left with a British son, then he had no accent the next movie..
Didn't think we'd notice your look-alike didn't look anything like you either!
She's such an incredible actress. I don't know why she keeps being ignored by Hollywood and the awards like that...

...I guess she knows how black actors feel.
Leandro Milagroso/D Creature Yeah... I mean... I'm not really refering to THAT but...
This movie is only outside the realms of the imagination of the generation growing up under a microscope. Life before the web was much easier to stay under the radar & live by your rules. The true meaning of Freedom died 16 years ago. This looks good.
not outside the realms of imagination, outside the realm of possibility.
Bryan Melanson agreed lol
why you're saying like that ? we're all free on this planet, not limited by anything, endless possibilities.
too bad I can't give likes on my phone coz I definitely like what u got to say
I Love You 🎉
Non ho visto il film ma il talento di Rachel Waisz si conferma in ogni sua espressione
You've come far from delivering boxes Amazon.
lol
Well, they're worth 292 BILLION. Realistically, they could produce every single movie that comes out in the next 20 years. This was probably made with the money Jeff Bezos found in his couch cushions.
hahaha fr bro
They better keep delivering my boxes though.
***** The googles...they do everything.
Koda's music in the background made my day! it's such an amazing track. "They" are so talented..

Van Alden lives all across his work.
Need my fix of Michael Shannon screaming
Extremely underrated actor!
If you haven't seen it yet. Watch Iceman.
We have man, we already have. Can't wait for my midnight special bluray currently. Its his only movie i haven't seen.

I really like the fact that Rachel started actively play in movies. Really talented and versatile actress.
Rachel Weisz Still HooooooooooooooT
Denial, The Light Between the Oceans and Complete Unknown. This is Rachel Weisz's year.
and The Lobster
+Sherhan Mahmud True! She's fantastic in that film.
Rachel Weisz has been putting in work. From Deep Blue Sea, The Lobster, The Light Between Oceans to now this movie.
Bourne Identity - Reverse storyline. I am in.
you could say that. looks good.
+l7r41n I was thinking Lost girl
Am feeling this
why not Gen. Zod's return to the unknown
Exactly like Bourne Identity ... except in no way whatsoever. ;)
she is still beautiful
that ( I WILL FIND HIM ) actor is a great one
Definitely, he's one of my favorites. If you haven't seen Take Shelter or Midnight Special check those out. He's great in both of those plus the stories are great.
lol I still remember him from 8 mile and Bad Boys II.
M. Shannon, an Old Irish name, clan name. Weitz looks fantastic, neither one of them have aged a bit.
+Michael GarciaTX check him also in Ice Man and Boardwalk empire
Does Rachel Weisz age?
Decent trailer, not much given away, and Michael Shannon... I'm in!
HOLY CRAP! Koda & Bijou - There, I've been listening to Koda for a couple years!

the sound track in this movie remind me with OST of The Fountain .
Two great actors, good trailer, i'm in.
Rachel Weisz and Michael Shannon in any reality would never happen. Just have a film of close of Rachel she is a beautiful human.
Amazing trailer......reveals just enough to create curiosity and intrigue.....I will watch anything the lovely Rachel Weisz is in........she is a fascinating piece of creature.....so emotionally captivating and visceral that it's hard to look elsewhere when she's around.

WHERE ISH IT WHEREISHTHETRIGGER
Did anyone else read that with the Batman voice in their heads or was it just me.
Great cast! Rachel is talented, beautiful and it's about time we saw her again! Can't wait 😘
So basically a movie about Roger from American Dad
Michael Shannon is an underrated actor.
He is not underrated he is making millions he was in superman man REMEMBER?
Yes, he did do a pretty damn good rendition of General Zod, but it seems that movie was itself underrated by the critics.
looks good. .going to watch it.
I want this woman's life!
This is like my fantasy comes true. Except I'm a guy. I think the story is about her using her creative genius side of her mind almost without boundaries. Like being an actor but you choose your own scenes, just because you have the ability to be true to the many characters you create. Best Drama Ever
Reminds me of “the age of adaline”
Micheal Shannon is underrated
Not my usual thing, but this looks interesting to me.
Someone explain this movie to me, I'm too stupid to understand it I guess, I mean why she was taking a different identity what was the reason?
The film tells the story? Wow
No explosions, no super powers. I already like
What a song ?
I enjoyed this movie a lot when I saw it! Hoping it gets a good reception
Rachel Weisz è un attrice di grande talento può interpretare qualsiasi ruolo estroversa col pubblico e disponibile al dialogo nelle interviste senza darsi arie inutili.unica.
Does anyone know the name of the song used in the trailer??
AmazonStudios?!?
(Just surprised, no additional opinion.)
Can someone help me understand this trailer because I really don't get it at all
She changes her identity every so often to start fresh and relive a different life.
i guess you want the trailer to spell the whole movie out for you right?
A woman constantly changes her identity and moves around. A man she knew in the past recognizes her. What exactly was so difficult about the trailer?
It's called 'Complete Unknown', I don't think they mean to tell you everything so clearly, they want to make you curious so you watch the movie, it's what you call a good trailer.
"As a man contemplates moving to a new state with his wife for her graduate program, an old flame - a woman who often changes identities - reenters his life at a birthday dinner party" Just read the description
I will go to see this movie. Its story seems intricate.
Rachel Weisz? :o Like from The Mummy!?
Yes
U need to expand ur movie knowledge if u only know her from the mummy @_@
+Skyhighblu lol
she looks so young 😍
Amazon, is that you? where's my package!!
What I learned from this: Danny clover is slept on
This film was amazing and I felt like Tom was a coward he should have went with her
@Alain Marceux he was unhappy with both on a visceral level and the set up was that he felt trapped by his life.
zod knows a lot about coming back to life
The pretender TV show turn into a movie?
Sorry, is an old TV show back in 90s. The person in the show pretend to be everyone, even being a doctor, police, fireman, teacher... etc. He's somewhat like her, undetected and hard to catch by taking different identities.
yes, but this time Jarod took his game too far, he literally become a woman hahah
The quantum leap TV show turn into a movie?
Sorry, is an old TV show back in the...
Catch me if you can. Great movie
Oh, must check out that show !
This is much more than changing your identity its about limitation. Imagine the feeling of beeing free and be whoever you want and leave everything behind you. Forget all your problems and just start over, disapear. havent you even wish to do that?
So, Life is Strange movie? Based on that line at the ending, "It was like I had this power, I could just start again."
Michael Shannon is a good actor.
What a beautiful woman
I can't stop thinking about the premise of this movie. Next Friday this will be the first thing I buy. I want to leave too, who wants to come with?
Before clicking on this video i thought it is Rose Byrne on the thumbnail without reading the title! Lol

PLEASE !
soundcloud.com/kodachrome/koda-bijou-there
Thanks a lot
Thank you so much

I am here only for Michael F....ing Shannon.

Who can say no to Rachel Weisz...
Won't have to convince me too hard to see this, gotta like Rachel
"Birth'' with Nicole Kidman is an exceptional film. If you like Complete Unknown, you will enjoy it as well.
i'll watch anything with rachel weisz
I’ll watching anything with Kathy Bates in it
técnicamente vieron el final al comenzar el tráiler
This looks like its set in the UK?
This is one of the most Sundance like to ever be on Sundace
Rachel Weisz's botox should get an Oscar.
She doesn’t have Botox, she just looks younger than her age. Some people actually take care of their skin
Shoutout to the people recognising Koda playing in the background.
Does her songs get used in movies a lot?
+abdoulhay ceesay isn't Koda a he?
I'm not sure, this is the first time I'm hearing it.
+MissAngelika090 oh I just found out about him lol
That's General Zod! Superman will want to know that you're still alive.
I liked the music
This looks like the "MAN FROM EARTH" movie script (Extended version).
Amazon is delivering ex girlfriend😂
lmao
lol nice one
This looks good
" see you in another 15 years "
This seems much more depression-oriented versus some type of Bourne legacy kind of flick. It seems pretty obvious to me but idk I guess we'll see when it comes out.
Having SUNDANCE in the title is all I need to know that this will suck arse.
Why?
Azhybek Aitaliev Because shitness
Stoker was a Sundance film and that was a masterpiece
i honestly love Sundace. Its like Treasure Island for me. So many good and original movies come out from there. ***** no it wasn't it was shitenhausen
