What i dont get is my handbrake cables are exactly the same, And i have new discs and pads and cables and they still sit the same why is the one on the left longer then the right hand side??
You need to remove the rear wheel and adjust the brake cylinders back to equal and then the cables will be even, otherwise when you put the hbrake on it will be uneven ,this will fail the mot.. you need wd40 and a brake cyl compression tool. Good luck.

It doesn't matter if they are longer or shorter, they have a shared adjustment mechanism on them so are adjusted evenly.
