    Any drills to stay underwater longer/breath for longer periods underwater?

      @@starflatinum683 less is better for 50m, hold to start, slow exhale. Usually 1 or 2 breaths first 25, then 2 or 3 for the second 25. Best way to practice is have 1 or 2 breaths per 25 at low speeds, then try to increase speed while maintaining breaths. Lots of variations to build up speed while not increasing breathing. Basically, if you’re swimming 50m in 30 seconds, how many breaths do you really need? Maybe 1 breath every 8 seconds? Not 10 breaths in 30 seconds = hyperventilating. Best to get a swim coach to assess your situation and give you an achievable progression
