You can use one, but I don't tend to bother. I just sand the wire down to expose the copper, as I find I need to do that anyways to clear the soot made by the lighter so it's just an additional step.
I just use regular superglue, and I find if I just apply it in the groove carefully it doesn't show. And if you do have a bit of overflow you can wipe it off with a towel while its still wet to clean it up

Hi. What kind of glue do you use? I have tried couple of superglue equivalent, but it leaves white stains on the blade. TIA
