I would allow the Edge for Piloting Trait to maintain control, as while this would fall onto a No-Combat Action, the vehicle is in movement and the character is attempting to continue control of the movement of the vehicle.
Realistically, the wording of the Pilot Trait should be adjusted most likely.
I have to say that this is much appreciated, and necessary for organization and understanding of this area of mechanics especially. Thank you so much!-

I really appreciate that, thank you!
I'd probably rule the same way regarding the Edge. Knowing the rules means knowing when to break them ;-).

This is an amazing breakdown! its a little disappointing that the rules are so spred out, I wish they would have included more rules but i really appreciate your effort to clear it up

Thanks so much for the kind words! Are there any rules in particular you wish they included? I can try to tackle them in an upcoming homebrew video.

@@FuzzyOnTheDetails Yes actually I've been looking in the core rule book but I haven't found anything really on improvised weapons. there's a little section saying that superpowers are always going to be better than say a club and that weapon modifiers don't stack but I'm more interested in like what if rocket raccoon wants to build a bomb or rig some way to have juggernaut carry a canon from a dreadnought class battleship and there's really not very much in the book with things like that. So if you can find any information on that sort of thing or maybe come up with a little homebrew supplement that would be awesome.

great summary! (and diplomatic but clear in regard to some holes)

Thank you! And I suppose I can't say this enough - I LOVE this game, and LOVE the rules, and I'm sure so many ideas had to be cut for page count. The holes are totally understandable for a game this young. I'm really looking forward to hopefully getting some stats for the Blackbird in the upcoming X-Men book. And maybe some expanded Vehicle rules with it!

Thank you! I'm thinking of making a follow-up homebrew guide, creating additional vehicles that are balanced with those in CoK. Any requests?

I know this my be daunting, but could you possibly include character merger home brew , with when characters because of mutant or other type of powers , psionics or mystical etc merge with the vehicles themselves like : warlock, and Roger Bochs : from alpha flight

Oh wow, there's a number of ways you could go with Bochs. Easiest approach would be to stat him up as Box, and use the Alternate Form tag and one of the High Tech origins. Or if you wanted the flexibility of alternate forms, maybe homebrew a tech version of Possess Vehicle (Remote Operate Vehicle?).
Warlock is gonna take some thinking :-). Great food for thought - thank you!
