The biggest problem with "adult films" is that they give young people a misconception as to how quickly the plumber will arrive, even in an emergency.
😁😁
or that your pizza is gonna have enough sausage on it.
To be fair, plumbers in adult movie universes have really good reasons to show up ASAP.
🤣 maybe if u bribed them with sex on the phone they’d show up faster
@@Carabas72 "Has the plumber come yet?"
"No, but he's got that glassy look in his eyes."
“Babysitters, stepdads, stepmoms, step siblings,..”
You are not wrong 😂
Does that make it a family film, too? 🤔
Coming soon to DisneyXXX FLUBBER With Stepmother!
Okay now this comment made me laugh 😂
Man that was extremely funny
Those are the ones that creep me out. I have to keep scrolling past them! But no one disagreed in Julie’s club…
LOL
"You wouldn't make a kid watch an adult film about genocide." I stand by that logic!
Right!?
"Watership Down"?
I bet there's someone out there that would enjoy that. You know it goes on IRL. Too often kids are the participants to even make it a funny joke.
If you don't teach your kid about genocide they are just going to learn about it on the street.
But you can make a kid while watching an adult film about genocide
I was once taking part in a church committee meeting of sweet little old ladies who were trying to think of something nice to do for young parents. They floated providing childcare and an opportunity for the parents to go watch a movie together as a group. They wanted to call this church event “Adult Movie Night.”
😂😂😂😂
What could go wrong? hahaha
Old ladies did and still do get down and dirty
hahahahahahahahahahahaha
Now THAT is a novel adult movie scenario!
They're not wrong.
I love how the commercials are like a bonus sketch.
Surprise!
@@julienolke that was the coolest sponsor bit I've ever seen
I have fewer than 1 friend in the World. That's right. Everybody disses me for making bad videos. I think they are perfect though. Who is right? My dissers or me? Which side are you on, dear el
These definitely are all things adults have to deal with they have a chance to fire up red tube.
Liked the video for the extra commercial! :)
I really like that the “I’m an expert on adult videos” joke changes over time in the sketch! That’s good writing!
I think it's really dangerous to have this meeting take place in the same room as the STDs' meeting earlier this year. One could easily misunderstand this as being about making a dirty movie! I know it sounds crazy...
Now hang on, I think that's what this is actually all about. They're trying to make a dirty, adult movie.
Afterall, it is every adult's responsibility to make sure that we maintain a clean environment, and good hygiene. Yes, even your step parents and step siblings have to take out the rubbish every now and then.
Speaking of cleanliness, they could have the protagonist show what happens when you don't maintain good hygiene. They could even include a segment on Covid. We know that the Julies are specialists in this field, afterall. In terms of STDs though, they could show a steamy scene, but I don't think it's necessary. What's important here, is the dirty, filthy manner in which we conduct our lives, and our adult responsibilities in managing them.
@@jcoulton4 lol
Somebody call Mike Rowe. He Knows how to make a dirty movie. if you know what I mean.
Hey! It's hard in these times finding a good co-working space to have meetings! You do what it's available...or even open, with no mask on.
Yeah, I'd love to see *that* adult film. You know, a bigger focus on political issues or maybe film analysis?
Here's my idea of an adult film: wake up, drink a gallon of coffee, go to work, ask coworkers what they did over the weekend. They answer with boring stories like "did laundry." Or "planted some flowers."
The climax is me trying to look interested as I fight the urge to nap. I go home, eat, go to sleep
I will see your adult life and raise you a "that one annoying co-worker that is single and has to tell you about every one of his sexcapades so much so that you basically live vicariously through him."
You forgot thrilling special episodes of "choosing between rent or food while figuring out how to do taxes", "Do I ask my coworker out or is it sexual harassment?", and "our capitalist overlords demand unpaid overtime"
@@inventor121 oh, def don't ask any coworkers out. No compliments either

Somehow, I'm reminded of an old Calvin and Hobbes comic strip that I read years ago. In this particular comic, Calvin was reading a TV guide and the listing for one show said, "Some scenes contain adult situations. Viewer discretion is advised." Calvin looked at this and said to Hobbes, "What's that supposed to mean? 'Adult situations'? You mean like going to a job? Paying bills? What's the problem with that?" In the end, he just left, puzzled and confused.
Julie is not just a great actor, she’s a good director as well. Her sketches are always so well presented and edited
I agree, but for the first time, the eye contact threw me off. Julie is looking slightly to the right to across-the-table Julie, who's looking to the left.
Yeah, and I think the editing especially enhances the acting in particular. While I don't know much about editing videos, I'd imagine that it's a key component to get the comedic timing all right.
Big, BIG things in her future, I'd say...
And well lit, with good audio.
Tastes Great.
I wanted this sketch to be twice as long, the possibilities for this scenario are endless
All credit to Nord VPN actually. Someone there went to Julie and said "We want to sponsor a video" and Julie went "Cool. ...Is it ok if it's about porn and genocide?" and then they went "Yes. Yes, that is completely fine."
Wow, funny.
Isn't a perfect fit? Porn and VPN? War and VPN? 🤔
Well, that's what I use my VPN for. To read about genocide, I mean. Not for porn. Definitely not.
Yeah VPNs just don't care,, I suggest watching "Dear Surfshark, Please Fire Me" from TomSka & Friends to see what crazy content they greenlit
Well they approved the Nordverse on Critical Role so pretty much anything goes.
For the first time ever, I didn't skip the sponsor bit. Poem adverts MUST become the new thing. Great idea, Julie!
Say what you will about her humor, I’m more interested in what she does with all those clones she makes after the shoot is over. It seems dangerous to have that many unlicensed Julies running around.
Ah come on. They just get put back in the clone vat.
Between her and one Ryan George I believe every Canadian has at least a few of them in the basement.
You won't believe how many clones Anne Reburn leaves running around. It's not just the singers on her videos, she uses them as understudies and crew and everything else. It's like a natural disaster after every video when they're released.
@@madcow3417 But have you ever actually seen multiple Anne's in the same shot at the same time?
Maybe it's just a collab with her past/future selfs
Maybe she does what Wheezy Waiter does and tricks them into the crocodile pit.
Can't get over how good the writing and the directing is. Everything is so on point! Another perfect vidya, Julie.
I would love to see Julie in an adult film, she would make a great protagonist in a film about a woman registering her vehicle at the DMV.
Time to dim the lights ...
They're writing an adult film, not a horror movie.
Whoa, that sounds way too hardcore! Way too filthy and disgusting!
It's like the movie Us- but stuck in the DMV
Video about the difference between an adult film and a #adulting film.
The sponsorship is even funnier than the gag itself! Kudos for the effort on every detail! You never stop having that comedy genious for even the smallest things:)
The 'gag' hihi
See this is why I prefer being blunt as hell. Less confusion.
Blunt but still respectful
I prefer the term "direct". People almost always say they are being blunt but are actually being rude.
So what are you trying to say? :P
Seriously though, I prefer directness, but I find that many people try to find the “real meaning” behind what is said, rather than accept what is being directly said.
Being tactful, respectful, and gracious, while being utterly plainspoken and direct... is an art form.
Ain’t nobody confuses adult film with other subjects but one
There's something about being an adult that gets me really hot and bothered.
Oh yeah, it's responsibility. I really, REALLY dislike responsibility.
If Julie really did audition for SNL and they said no, their loss. If she was hoaxing, that itself is a good audition. Maybe SCTV needs to be resurrected.
That is a great suggestion.
Puleeeease!!!
She comes across to me as someone who'd make a better host for SNL. Her "it factor" is significantly higher than anyone they have now. Not in terms of overall popularity just yet, but presence. Julie is a star.
I still think we need a "The Julies of DeGrassi Street" show with all the Julies, and the theme song should be the DeGrassi Junior High theme with Julie-themed lyrics.
Joe Flaherty... if you're reading this, please call Julie again and ask if you can do your headcrusher impression.
The skit was good, but honestly the VPN plug was so fresh and simple I actually watched it. That is an accomplishment. Bravo
I just now realized that being an adult isn't nearly as exciting as my younger self was led to believe. Thanks Julie!
Yep, when you're young you can't wait to be an adult. When you're an adult you miss being a kid (ok, I'd only go as far back as being 19 again, but close enough).
Ryan Georges has an "adult orientation day" video. You definitely wouldn't want to be an adult after watching it.
I mean, needing a right to use alcohol should've been a dead giveaway.
Julie, I’m no creative idea how in the heck you manage all these conversations in your Video work. Wow! Im
Impressed. Must be a lot of scripting! Good work!
Aww, Shy Julie reading a poem on paper is so sweet!
When my kids were little, my daughter told a group of adults that her parents like to watch adult movies in the basement after she goes to sleep. I had to explain that they were movies For adults (PG-13 and R-rated movies), not "Adult Movies". My daughter was extremely confused because she thought they were the same thing. 🤦🏼♀️
Most charming commercial read I’ve seen in a loooonnngg time!
💕💕
Ya, most sponsored content is skipped by me, but that was fantastic, they really got their money's worth, hope that your stats show that you can charge them more. ;-)
Yeah, advertising a VPN is tough, but she did a great job.
Not going to lie, this is the first time I've stayed around to watch a sponsored ad on anyone's video. The poem bit worked
I've had that happen more than once. Mentioned a movie had adult content and watched as their minds immediately went there. Which is the opposite of this, but... the same, kind of.
Same same
I think the word you were looking for is "adult-themed".
Impeccable timing on that advertisement wrinkling the paper up to the next section.
The poem is the best integration I've seen so far. Love the acting, it's hilarious :)
High praise! Thank youuu😁
@@julienolke So... is "production assistant/intern Julie" going to be a regular character?
It also reveals why there is such a thing as “quiet paper” that’s used in movies.

😂😂😂😂 Hilarious!!!
I do enjoy a good adult film that addresses the inequalities between the political/corporate/business class and the worker class.
This is ASTONISHING! your timing and editing are top drawer. I could have easily believed there were 3 Julies in the same room at the same time (except there can be only ONE Julie)
Not to mention the writing, too. Brilliant interpretation of the phrase!
Wow, thank you! 😁
Already on Nord. But think your sponsorship idea was the best sponsorship plug I have EVER seen in 50 years!

"Yes, I do!"
Yes *sir*, I do
The stare at 3:26, I'm just died😂😂😂 first sponsored part I haven't skipped in a while in RUclips😂
Yeah. The sex videos should be labeled as childish & immature! "Adult content" is the serious stuff. U R GENIUS.
--Mark
Not that type of show but some I have seen some "adult" comedies that should be labeled "for immature audiences only".
I used to work at a library and we were getting a new building. After meeting with the architects and looking at layouts, a staff member asked why there were so many shelves dedicated to "periodicals." It was eventually revealed that the architects couldn't imagine having almost half the library set aside for "adult" material, so they replaced it with magazines.
Lol
Thank you Julie, I think I finally understand what the "Adult Themes" tag means on M rated movies. I've been wondering for, like, 20 years. You're doing important work!
😂🤣😂🤣
If I ever clicked on a sponsor's link, it would be for Julie Nolke. One day, I will. I vow it.
You know when you hear the "adult" film genre one doesn't realize the vast interpretations. Just don't show an adult film to someone who prepared to see something entirely different!! 😱😬🤣🎞

True Story: When I was very young (maybe 9, in 1979) my mom send me to rent a video. She liked war movies so she looked at the flyer (with names only) and asked me to rent a "Nazi" movie. When I went there the clerk called my mom and warn her it was an "adult" movie. She say it was fine, so I rent it for her. When she got it she realized it was a porn movie. "Ilsa: She Wolf of the SS (1975)" French version I think "Ilsa, la louve des SS"

“Thank you guys for coming today” is the best way you could have opened up.
I legit have a memory from childhood of driving downtown and seeing the adult book store, and thinking to myself "I can't wait until I'm old enough to read the books there".
1. You drove downtown as a child? 😋
2. So, when you were old enough, did you go and read some? Enquiring minds.
@@SimonBuchanNz Yeah, he was on his tractor.
Not much reading involved.
Speaking as a man who has delivered many pizzas, I have to say that I never understood why so many adult films just turned into sex instead of worrying about being able to pay for my own car, gas, and maintenance because the company doesn't cover anything.
I absolutely loved this. A discussion to clear the ambiguity of the phrase "adult film". I did not see that coming. Heh. Worth the rewatch.
Thank you guys for coming today! I see what you did there.

First, there was the thumbnail. Then came the title, followed by a return to the thumbnail. That expression, noting the direction and angle of Julie's gaze, and imagining what she's looking at. Chuckles ensue. Finally finishing with another top notch comedy bit.
Now excuse me for a moment, I ssem to have developed a sudden desire to get a VPN...
Wow the green screen background keying in this video is soooo good! Usually you see artifacts around the hair but it's impressive how crisp it is here.
It doesn't have to be behind closed doors. It can be out in public, where the thrill of being caught makes it more titillating.
Naturally, I'm referring to discussing the adult topics of genocide and politics.
I got caught talking politics in public.
It wasn't as fun as I thought it would be.
@@chrismullaney9042 I consider myself to be left-wing, but when I get caught talking politics in public, it just feels so right. Who cares if they judge me?

Next I want to see Julie and Ryan Reynolds make an ad together.
Sort of a Sandra Bullock and George Clooney vibe

I love how they had to be educated about the definition of an "Adult film". The metaphors are completely lost on them, being blunt would have been WAY more effective! 😂🤣
And it gets around YT's censor bots.

From here on out, all advertisements should be in the form of an original poem.
The Ryan George energy is strong with this one (and that's a good thing).
Your level of acting skill is nothing short of amazing, in my opinion. You easily sell each character and their respective nuances with really impressive, well studied verbal and nonverbal cues and tics. How has Hollyweird not grabbed you up yet?
Julie must have a very high budget nowadays as she can afford renting a boardroom for her meeting skits. and the props! oh my.. ballin'
Not to mention the multiple actors...
I expected this skit to be the opposite-the producer wanting an adult film that WASN'T explicit and the scriptwriters having their heads in the gutter. This worked too, especially with the bit about voting!
I love seeing Julie and her clones brainstorm. Such a funny video.
bahahaa ok you gotta admit, both the skit and the sponsor spot were were well written. GJ!

I would actually watch this film. Like imagine it all starts in the sunny valley of "the grocery"... valley. Haven't thought the names.
And you're thinking "Oh yes, they'll go at it, c'mon!" and you whip it out but WAIT, now you were about to do it to the idea of donating to a children's hospital... and you're like oh my god this is awful!
And then, a fight breaks (careful with the words here) loose and so at some point there is a genocide and you're on the brink of crying your eyes out, very very sad. But SUDDENLY, a very strong army man encounters a very sexy enemy army woman, and when you think it's about to go down, it goes down. But the other down, not the down you were thinking of. Like you're expecting them to go down, but they instead go down... town.
I wish we could make horrible ridiculous films like this just to laugh a bit.
Do you mean down like.. like underground?
Yeah, aside from the genocide one, those all sound like they would work just fine as the story backdrop for pornos.
