    How we can get mean and sd of categorical variables?

      Mean and sd are usually calculated for numerical variables. We don't calculate them for categorical variables.

    i have a question. i tried to solve the mean of your data example, the hrs online, manually and i got a different answer from the SPSS. i have the same problem with my data as well. the result input from SPSS was different from what i got upon solving it manually and solving it on excel? why does this happen? thank you for answering^^

      The results should all be the same. Check your data carefully.
