Actually Mustafina didn't really have more perfect landings than the other top tier girls, but she had quite a lot of sticks. She was a master at finagling a stuck landing out of one that was under or over rotated, or lopsided, or tilted, or crooked. Like the ones off UB in 2014 worlds where she would land the double tuck 1/1, hit the landing position with a smirk and extend her fingers as if completely in control for 1/2 a second...then step to the side smoothly and salute.
Someone did a close-up of her feet on the landing. They thought the judges didn't consider it perfectly stuck because her heels never really settled into the mat before she turned to salute. That means the deduction was for a small step on the landing. Personally, I don't care what the judges thought... it's majestic and will get me hyped every time I see it!!!
No, she shouldn’t have a perfect score. It was a stunning vault and deserved a high score but it wasn’t free from errors. If you watch the slow-mo, her legs come apart slightly in the air and she doesn’t land completely straight, on a slight angle
She def didn't stick it cold. She very obviously had some forward momentum and turned too quickly to salute to hide it. Still a magnificent vault, but def not a true stick.
I think you should have put Aly’s 2012 floor routine- flawless. But I’m in love with mckaylas vault- absolute perfection, unsure why it wasn’t a perfect e score.
@@nondescriptbeing5944 Someone else has made a nice compilation of some of Simone's best landings here: ruclips.net/video/o8AJKQNsg2g/видео.html I enjoyed this compilation, too, of course. So many great gymnasts to appreciate!
Shannon didn't stick either vault, especially the 2nd one. Even on the first one, she had a little bit too much backwards momentum and didn't hold it quite long enough.
Anna Myzdrikova's landing was just wow. And Mustafina had quiet a lot of perfect landings!

Maroney...still the single most impressive piece of gymnastics I've ever seen. Iconic 🌟

Aliya Mustafina, the queen of sticks
and horrid twisting form.
Tbh her twisting form wasn’t that bad prior to her injury.
In peak form (2010) it was decent.
Tell that to Henrietta.
I remember watching Nastia's vault Yurchenko 1.5 live and I was flabberghasted. I paused and rewinded maybe 6 times.
Well if an athlete is going to do such a simple vault, she better stick it.
“And she makes it look like a jump off the end” is the best line ever
Where’s Mustafina UB dismount at London Olympics? That’s the most satisfying stuck landing ever in my opinion 😍
nah
I'd humbly recommend Mo Huilan's 1996 TF DTY...flawless.
stuck double layouts are just beautiful
They make it look so easy
Queen mustafina ❤️😍
McKayla absolutely should have had a perfect score. Her block is insanely high and she stuck that cold. These judges are whacked.

she took a small step forward. she tried to hide it by saluting. She may have fooled you with that but not me and not the judges :) the score was fair
Aliyia iconic gimnastic 2010 and 2012
Nice to see a few from the NCAA in there too!
Now THOSE are stuck landings!
Love Maroney‘s vault but it wasn‘t a stick actually
I was hoping I would see Trinity here. What a pleasant surprise
Rebeca ♥
Great video, however One incredible stick that was missed and it’s Nastia Liukin’s 2008 Pacific Rim Beam routine.

Love it sth that doesn’t include simone biles 😂
mustafina repeated many times. queen
Ok..... I Will reveal the secret... Velcro. 😂
Chellsie's and McKayla's weren't true sticks, as much as I love them.
None from Simone? Yet gabby’s double layout also Shannon Miller vt 1992.
what were her best? I can't remember since she bounced on most landings, not that it mattered much.
You can't tell him what it is satisfying and what is not. Satisfaction is purely personal, feel free to make your own compilation.

It wasn’t Shannon. It was Tatiana Gutsu’s vault. Soviets wore black and white leos in the 92 games, America had white.

Sembrano sovrumani
Ok where is Simone ? Simone has stuck the most difficult dismounts
When? Ive never seen a stuck landing when I’ve watched a competition. I always see her fly out of bounds or hop.
@@cassie05 you’re joking right ?
Simone's hater here
where is my queen Gina Gogean
Her 1996 stuck double layout in team comp….legend
@@cassie05 I believe it was event finals.
