I remember going to Cosford, Duxford and Fairford airshows with my father every year when growing up and what fond memories I have of them. Haven’t been since 2006 and would do anything to go again. But that’s hard considering I now live in USA, married and have a family. For sure on the bucket list and would thoroughly enjoy seeing my children experience the same enjoyment I had at a young age!
IMHO this was the best Cosford airshow-the variety, the weather, the displays-it all just came together on the day! I'm sure the variety of displays was helped by the theme-RAF 100!
Thank you for the footage. It looks like it was a wonderfully varied and packed line up, so good to see the old favourites like the Spitfires, Hurricanes and Lancaster but great to see some unusual and rare sights like the Sycamore and Whirlwind.
Superb video in every way, one of the very best aviation vids I have seen on You Tube. A joy to watch and listen to, and no annoying music distractions or overpowering commentary.
First ever airshow i've been to and WOW! Those fighter jets are well loud, you get a right adrenaline rush! Also fell lucky with it being the 100th centenery yr! 😎
Noticed the big Vauxhall VX/Victor Police car with the bonnet up about to be winched onto the trailer at the end of video.Usually the other way round,Range Rover bonnet up etc.Great Video
I live about 20 miles from Cosford and had a lot of stuff transit to and from over Stourbridge - the weather was good and from these highlights the show looked good as well👍
As a Brit by birth living in the USA, I still miss the great British "Day Out" of my boyhood. This brings it back. Farnborough with my parents in the early sixties. British airshows are still streets better than here in the USA.
When they said they were rebuilding the Bristol Bolingbroke with a short nose......I was like NOOO !. I prefer the Mk.IV, but over time it's grown on my.....and now more representative of the Mk.I's of the Battle of Britain.
I wasn't too interested until I saw that beautiful Hurricane that could out turn any WWII fighter. They were prominent in winning the battle of Britain. I didn't miss the thoroughbred Spitfire near the end.
if the hurri was such a clumsy plane, how come many aces preferred it to the spit then? Jesus, the Brewster fighters were incredibly crap in comparison to just about any other fighter.Did you also know the Hurricane is widely considered to be one of the most, if not the most, versatile fighters of all time?
maybe some variants were better than other, my comments about the hurricane still stand as far as I'm concerned. according to wiki, Buffalo was described as a flying coffin by USMC, and was considered obsolete by 1940.BTW the Hurri could outturn most fighters including spits, this alone does not make a good fighter. the P40 was a lot like the Hurricane in many respects.
Red 13 That particular Lightning in the lineup used to be the gate guardian at BAe Samlesbury, registered as ZF580 but saw active service in the Royal Saudi Air Force. When removed from Samlesbury it was brought down to Cornwall, and I actually spent a bit of time working on the Red Top missile. A few months back it was taken to RAF St Athan for complete restoration and was brought to the standard you see in the video. I believe a bit more work is to be done and she will be brought back down the aviation centre at Newquay, Cornwall. Probably a bit of useless info but there you go!😉
Stuart J oh I never realised that, I thought only RAF planes participate in the cosford airshow not international planes apart from the massive airshow in farnborough

Love all planes but the Rafale even shows the Typhoon up as it looks less agile and rather sluggish. The Rafale looks a dream to fly.
So so so!!! Exited for the air show in Ayrshire can’t wait to see you guys!!!!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍
All those classics. Fantastic, love it.
The Rafale display was very good but I love seeing many of vintage aeroplanes as well .
That was awesome videography.
Thank you from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Loved the spits. I kept imagining "Attackattackattackattackattack" over the comms.
Thank you for the footage. It looks like it was a wonderfully varied and packed line up, so good to see the old favourites like the Spitfires, Hurricanes and Lancaster but great to see some unusual and rare sights like the Sycamore and Whirlwind.
Nice to see the Blenheim. Super video, for which thanks.

Thanks, That's Very Kind
Fantastic👍
You did a good job with this this video, Thank you. Almost like being there.
First ever airshow i've been to and WOW! Those fighter jets are well loud, you get a right adrenaline rush! Also fell lucky with it being the 100th centenery yr! 😎
Thanks for posting. The tickets had sold out by the time I thought of going, so this was a great round-up of what I missed.
Great filming! Thank you! still miss the Vulcan though!
F16 is still one of the most formidable fighters after 44 years. That has to be some sort of record.
If, Only MIG 21 was upgraded as MUCH.............
F4 phantom by far the best ever jet
Noticed the big Vauxhall VX/Victor Police car with the bonnet up about to be winched onto the trailer at the end of video.Usually the other way round,Range Rover bonnet up etc.Great Video
Fantastic footage! I've tended to swerve Cosford for many years, because the fast jets don't take off or land.....I'll be back next year!
I live about 20 miles from Cosford and had a lot of stuff transit to and from over Stourbridge - the weather was good and from these highlights the show looked good as well👍
Fantastic camera work
I was so happy to be there

You just had to screw up your comment! Typical Brit.
USA is great it’s just the dick heads that spoil it!
Darrell Grisham being an arsehole in the youtube comment section when people simply say their opinions! typical american
soaringtractor your arguments are petty. The best country is England. But it is only my opinion. You can have your opinions and we will have ours.
soaringtractor I’m not even Russian lol 😂 this my Brothers account. He likes call of duty too much.
Nice video, Nice Airshow :-)
I have went to this place it was fun
Great Video, excellent camera Job! The show is amazing!
Great video thanks for sharing 👍👍👍👍
Thank for this , great footage
Very nice camera follow !!
The smoke from that MiG is unreal
I went there. The queue was long but the show was amazing
Queues put me off eventually -Fairford the same , victims of their own success ! Wales UK
fine work & editing
I was there
Same
That Polish Mig pilot could tie knots...
i usually go cosford if theres an air show and i usually go riat every year
La aviación es una de las maravillas tecnológicas hechas por el hombre.Es el sueño hecho realidad del hombre por volar.
5:45 that’s rare seeing an Air Force Boeing 757
beautiful !!!!! Soprattutto il Mitico Panavia Tornado !
That was great day out some great air craft flying on day
Man! The Red Arrows were awesome!
All the aircraft are great, but the Lanc is awesome.
I’m pretty sure that mig 29 would fail its emissions test lol. Great video
jack torrence the phantom was a smoker... the mig 29 vapes lmao
Great video, as usual!
Great video, would have been 10X better if you added a short narrative for each aircraft. The MIG-29 smokes like a Phantom.
The moves of the Rafale are just sickening.
Tornado pass, always impressive !
just looks like it's going so bloody fast ! Wales UK
Fantastic

I wish i can watch the airshow : (

31:18 Awesome lineup there! Meteor, Hunter, Lightning, Phantom, Tornado. I've got a nice model of the Lightning. Looks almost identical, in fact.

Darren Foley Actually, I found it very interesting. Thanks!👍
Red 13 No problemo! 😉
The Airfix one? Both are 74 Sq Lightnings, hence the tiger stripes. My dad was a GCI controller for them.
mookie2637 I'm pretty sure it is. It came in a rather small box, as I recall. Aren't Airfix models usually in small boxes?
Excellent.
Bellissimo volo del l'aereo grande bravissimi tutti
Grazie piacere ti piace il video - Thank you Pleased You Like The Video
Good show
A little more info would be nice. Short subtitle on screen which plane or heli we see in the scene. I knew most but not all...
To be honest, I don't know many of the planes myself, LOL, I will see if James can put some info in the Details
F35 next please
What do i see at 26:35 ?
Typhoon , and 2 jackdaws . Wales UK
A static display to make one weep.
i get to see all this free i only live 10 mins a way
Did other countries participate in this airshow? I can see an F16 and a Mig 29 in which the RAF does not use.
Stuart J oh I never realised that, I thought only RAF planes participate in the cosford airshow not international planes apart from the massive airshow in farnborough
what is the plane taking off at 2:56 into the video?
bristol blenheim
Red 1s smoke not working?
Went tech just before leaving RAF Shawbury on the day
EEUU na iminência de reativar o F-14... pq não comprarmos muitos F-16?
Best tomato significant setting origin criteria stranger size thus theory western changing
why is it they can keep the lanc
flying but cannot keep the volcan
flying
too much labour intensive technology and I suspect too few 60s jet mechanics ! Last place I saw the Vulcan as Cosford . Wales UK
