I've been doing alot of the wedding sweep on my partners, but some of them have figured out how to door stop me. Instead of just regular whizzering me, they use the over hook to stop my hips from moving in underneath them. This usually happens when i'm high bridging and following them when they run north south. I stop them, but they also stop me, so i often get stuck. Any tips? Been playing around with the idea of rolling them with the darce escape roll sweeep you've shown earlier, but havent gotten around to it in sparring yet.
Once you pummel your arm behind the leg, you should be fine. If you get caught before the wedding sweep is in, you can roll back to your back or go toward your belly if it is bad. I need to do a darce counter video series soon. 👍
Thanks Brian! It happened just as I was creating space to pummel and he sat back hard. He wasn't able to finish but it stopped the sweep entry. A darce counter video would be awesome!

I know this is a year old comment but have you tried locking hands around the hip like he shows with the s grip?
Guess I should have watched this video before asking about the back step on the prior video. lol
Starting to get too complicated for my current abilities. I need to get more comfortable with the previous techniques before I go there.
