In 2012 i bought my 1996 SS exactly in this condition, payed 15k cash!! With 30k miles, Now has 120k thank you mister Gary for the best deal of my life so far!
Great car. The last "modern" car I ever wanted to own. '96 was the last year and the only one with console shift. So '94-95 had column shift. '96 is by far the most collectible.
Time will tell, the ‘94 only had about 6,300 units produced, technically making it rarer. But like you said the ‘96 has the desirable analog gauge cluster and floor shift.
Can any of you gentleman make a good guess on a legit private party price for a 1996 Impala SS Cherry in color, totally stock, minor bumper paint and one power window don’t work? 90K in mileage, original owner? In Arizona.
So blessed to have 96 I bought last year, continuing the project build from the seller. Kept the LT1, custom cam, comp lifters, 2.5 inch full exhaust, long tube headers, torqhead conversion to coilpacks removed optispark, 58mm throttle body, MAF from a F-Body, 50lbs fuel injectors, plan on getting it tuned next step. Exterior looks just like this original so people sleep on it...unless they know the car lol
@artvandelay4900 the road master is definitely a good project, my brother had a 95 and was going to do a Torqhead conversion and follow my build but decided to sell it. Kinda wish I bought it off him cuz I fell in love with it
Cast iron block and heads.rated at 265hp so as not to upset the corvette buyers. Reality is right at 300hp. 96 made about 30,000 its last year in 3 colors Black,Black Cherry and a Sea Geen.96 only one with console shift.95 6300 units in 3 colors. 94 6300 units black only. Also fastest stock with 3.42 gears in the pumpkin. How do I know this Sh#t?? I have owned a 94 since 4/94!! DON'T SELL IT KEN!! Sell your fox body instead!!
Loved your Dad's way with words....Pregnant Rollerskate Cars....🤣🤣🤣...I would have loved to have had the privilege of meeting him. That's one gorgeous mint car, inside and out, with a mint detail job. Was hoping that you were gonna get on it, when you drove it, but completely understand why you didn't, with it being so nice. Very surprising how quiet she is. An old buddy of mine had a Mercury Marauder SS...looked identical to those cars, and she was quite fast, with impressive acceleration, for the size of the car. Totally understand why you don't want to sell that car, while understanding at the same time, why you have too.
Not a bad muscle car for the year. It’s such a shame they didn’t make two door versions Hey Ken if it don’t sell, you should try to make the all GM national car swap meet coming up in June 6/21/23-6/24 Carlisle Pennsylvania you will get good money there for it or maybe put it in the Carlisle auction considering it’s all matching numbers all original car
Looks like a VR SS HOLDEN COMMODORE here IN Australia without the corvette engine 👌 seen a couple of thee impala' s driving around out here in Oz. You got good taste Mr Kaplan America
Wow I purchased the exact same car brand new back in 1996. It only came in 3 colors: black, maroon and metallic green. I was really looking for the green SS but couldn't find one so pulled the trigger on the black SS. It was an awesome car, regret not holding on to it. Thank you for bringing back some great memories. 🥹
GM made the 4 door a cool car for 3 years...... I was deep in the throws of the Turbo Buick V6 cars when these were on the road and they were no match for the mighty Buick but anyone into the V6 cars gave these Impalas mad respect. 11's in the 1/4 were not uncommon. This looks like a preserved example. Someone's gonna get a true piece of GM history.....
Even though I'm generally not a fan of 90's era GM cars because of cheap plastic everywhere (Pontiac was the worse), the impala SS 94-96 is one of my dream car along side with the 90-93 Silverado SS 454 and those early 90's GMC Typhoon and Cyclone. Camaro and Trans am of this decade never hooked me up.
I HAD A 1996 IMPALA SS. ITS A SHAME HOW THEY PUT THE DISTRUBUTER BELOW THE WATER PUMP THAT LEAKED!!! COST ME A LOT TO FIX IT THE 1st TIME, THEN IT STARTED TO LEAK AGAIN!!! SO I TRADED IT IN. SEEMS GM MADE A MISTAKE WITH THAT SET UP. OTHER THAN THAT THE CAR WAS GREAT.
Can you elaborate on the "340 hp" figure? Official figures between 260-280hp for the impala SS and the cop interceptor, but the same engine in the Corvette 92, started out at "300hp". David Freiburger said it was "at least 300hp" about the beat up 9C1 he was thrashing in a few episodes of "Roadkill".
Even if the Impala loses it still wins because you are racing an older car that was made in 1995 😆🤣 so I picked the 96 Impala SS car regardless because I have nothing to lose ☺️😉👍💯.
Had one, probably one of the most comfortable fun cars to drive. CRAZY highway milage!

They were the Hellcats in the 1990's the 94 to 96 Impala SS cars.
I saw the Creole flag in your profile and thought that was my account for a second 😂

Straight to the Paint Shop then Rim Shop. This is a Beautiful Car.
In '98, when I was in 5th grade, some teacher at my school had one of these. Always saw it in the parking lot and thought it looked cool.
The 96 SS, Timeless yet elegant 🦌🏁💨

sorry about the auction... too many have sold in the last year all with low mileage
Time will tell, the ‘94 only had about 6,300 units produced, technically making it rarer. But like you said the ‘96 has the desirable analog gauge cluster and floor shift.
I read a post that said the 95 blue grey metallic had the least units made out of all of them.i don’t know how true it is.
@@Dustykeybkards hmm, you are right, there were only about 4,440 DGGM ‘95 SS, good point

That’s awesome. I’m stuck between buying an SS or a 94-96 Roadmaster and modifying it by the end of the year.

Had a 95...sold it a while ago and I have missed that car ever since 😭
Awesome, this classic Impala SS is all stock.
These have aged really well.
We used to roll around in the standard versions. Add a few 12" subs to the trunk with a little Pink Floyd and all is well.
I just bought a skirted 92 Caprice slapped a 15 in the trunk and straight piped it will see what happens

Impala came with 3.08 gears.

They got the green 9cl1 green color hoses underneath the hood wow man o man that's great those 9cl1 hoses are very expensive and hard to find.
Those look like the GoodYear Hi miler hoses. They're blue. Have them on my '96 with 27k miles.

The only time you’ll hear but just a whisper crawling up that driveway😂😂
Lots of high school kids died in this vehicle in the 90's. People were maniacs in them.
I have a '95. Same color. Very fun cars
I still want one of these
Nice rolling clips excellent way to make a for sale video.

Love those rigs. I'm kicking myself in the nuts for not buying a 96 caprice w/ a blown up 305 recently. Built a lot of lt1's.
