I absolutely love this body style Monte Carlo 70-71 I had a purple 71 with 402BBC and TH400 with posi 12bolt rear. It's a land yacht but damn fast and comfy!
This is what i call "Pimp Daddy Green". Cadillac also had the same very color.....boy was it OutRageous in a fun way. Had an Old Cadillac "Fleetwood" style of that same green color for about 24 hrs. before I turned it around (quick sell) back in '89 . The off-set color was Chalk White. Very Sharp if you know what I mean. Please know me as the Gal Kathryn who knows everything about the history of colors offered on cars (also interiors). My first car was a 70 Monte Carlo, gold with a black top. My father bought it brand new and kept it so I could have it when I got my license. Great car that unfortunately burned up on the side of the road. I don't know why. It just quit running and black smoke started pouring from under the hood. A few minutes later and the entire car was engulfed in flames.

For real, seems like every grant gt steering wheel owner just doesn't bother with it or something. Guess the owner of this car saw the trend and made a remedy for it

I can't believe this Monte's only $22k. You really get a lot more with a Monte for the price compared to the Camaro's, Chevelle's, Nova's, etc. Color is spot on too.
The paint looks like GM Forest Green iridescent, which was a factory color for GM in the 70's. Also, it looks like it's using the GPS sending unit for the gauges. The mechanical cable is unhooked, as you can see it in the undercarriage shot. I hope you guys get rid of that cable, as it's just laying on the exhaust.

Man, you guys are hitting it out of the park this week. Another great driver quality car. I love the green on green too. Kind of too bad they did a crappy paint job. A lot of guys are going to say this car needs $10K to $20K worth of work. I say no. No it doesn't unless you're a car show trophy collector and if you are, then you better be ready to spend more than twice the cost of this car.
This car, with an LS swap, overdrive trans, a/c, makes for a car that you can drive anywhere and enjoy with no worries (I'm repeating myself now). Personally, I don't care about car shows at all and would much rather take a nice drive in the country. I'll bet you are going to get more thumbs up and looks driving down the highway than you'll ever get at a car show. You're also going to get CCDF with this car. That's Cool Car Delay Factor, because every time you stop for gas or to grab a bite or whatever, people are going to want to compliment you on the car or talk to you about it and probably about the car they used to have or still do. It will delay your journey but is usually worth it (some times you'll hear some goofy stories too).
Anyway, if I didn't already have ten cars I think I'd be calling on this one.

They should have kept it old school. A 454 big block with after market fuel injection for the reliability. All and all it's a nice ride for cheap
My first car was a 71 Monte Carlo, 350 w TH400, med blue with white vinyl top. Was a awesome car.
If ALL it needs is a paint job, this is an awesome find.

Pretty damn rare, unfortunately I passed on a BB 4-speed blue on black one years ago that was factory bench seat if you can believe that ?! Had no idea how rare it was.. (California too so no rust ever at the time)
@@richarddevoe5871 yeah that’s too bad,I know they are. Real rare and I have seen a couple but they don’t come up often and if they do it is when you can’t justify spending the money,at least in my case!

You should make show off video's for all the staff cars. It would be awesome to see what everyone drives and get a detailed video on them. Probably don't have time lol but if you do it I promise to share your video all over the place (already doing that fyi ;I).

At 25:00, you can't put weather stripping on old rotten metal strapping. With how solid the rest of the car is, why is the top inside part of that door so rotten? Wondering how much more "engineering " and "fabrication " there is to be found on that car and under that paint.

impala, Belair, Camaro usually more popular, liked the more stock form of monte carlo never see it like that very often, this one is nice, but not sure if that's the original color? Not a big fan of green cars. All the chips and scratches, rust just means Lower the price, 21,000 is high for this car, most of the price is for the LS engine, which looks well used. All I can say is Low- rider
