Black Girl Sunscreen has recently came out with a SPF 50 lipgloss , it’s a clear lipgloss , very thick and I wear it over matte lipstick or by itself. I purchased mine from Ulta.
So, my update on the Neutrogena purescreen tinted: as I mentioned in a previous comment on another video, I tried posting a review, which was declined by Neutrogena, with a response to contact them. I called and spoke with them yesterday, and I explained how much I loved their product but not the packaging. She then said she would be sending coupons as a thank you for my feedback! Maybe if enough of us contacted Neutrogena regarding the packaging, they might actually change it. But are they still blocking that info for reviews? Or were there other reasons they stopped you? I'm glad to hear of your efforts, and you sound very nice, I am afraid I would have been furious about the review being declined.
Also, what's life like not getting mad about everything lol? I started thinking you should have been mad, now I am admiring that quality, wondering why I am wasting my time getting mad so much, haha...
@montananerd8244 I was able to access my original review on the link in their email, but I honestly don't know if they finally posted it on their site. I like the product but I have to say if they refused a respectful negative review I take that as a strike against the company and it deters me a bit from buying from them.
@blue-fj9ky this won't deter me from purchasing a product that works for me, tbh. I've had worse interactions with some Amazon vendors than I have with Neutrogena. Amazon vendors have contacted me, trying to bribe me so I would change my star rating of their products to 5, or to remove my review when it wasn't a 5 star rating. I don't rate every product I purchase as I don't have that kind of time on my hands. But occasionally, if I'm really pleased with a product or very disappointed in a product I will write a short review about what I liked and didn't like about it. I've never given a 1 star review even when I was mostly displeased with a product. But actively attempting to bribe me with gift cards to change my rating or remove my review...I find that abhorrent and unethical. And it makes me wonder how many reviews from these vendors are legit or bought.
Thank you (again) for sharing your knowledge with us for free. I had amazing skin growing up and throughout early adulthood. If you drop down the tube a bit and cut the top half of the tube off, you can slide the top half back on over the bottom half, which keeps air out fairly well. I am always surprised how much product is still in the tube after I thought I had squeezed everything out. Sometimes I have gotten a week's worth of product out of the tube this way. My mom used the last drop of everything and taught me this trick.
@@visitingfromsantafe1329 It’s label says Shimmer sunscreen hydrating cream SPF 40 and in fine print compare to Supergoop glow screen. It’s a 3 oz tube.
I love the Neutrogena Purescreen! I am super pale and the light is great for me. I think if you aren't really pale you shouldn't get the lightest shade, but it's great for pale people who have not been able to use tinted sunscreens before because the rest of them are too dark/orange.
Hi, I’ve been using the Hawaiian tropic everyday active spf 50 lotion. It has fragrance but very light, goes all over my face and doesn’t burn my eyes at all like other sunscreens. Doesn’t break me out, And it’s only $14 for 8oz, it’s cruelty free and vegan and really enjoy it!
I've been hooked on the Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum. It goes on like a beautiful serum or light moisturizer yet is SPF 50! Doesn't sweat into my eyes while I'm working out, and it makes my skin look so nice! Best sunscreen I've ever used.
For dehydrated skin that also has large pores, I love the Black Girl Sunscreen kids, spf 50 for $10/3 oz, usually last me just under 3 months. The formula is just perfect for me, and I like to apply Gold Bond pure moisture over the sunscreen to seal in all the hydration & get the extra skin goodies. My skin looks better than it has in years, and I am 52. I do not love neutrogena as a company, or any big brands really, and I do like supporting Black owned businesses doing good work at good prices, what's not to love? And no, ofc it's not just for Black people, it's just an accurate brand name that draws attention to a cast-less sunscreen. However, it offers facial formulation & other niceties, not just cast-less-ness lol. I hear the adult version has a nicer feel, but I find this one silky, light, easy to apply, and a bit liquidy, but not runny. It's not a thick or heavy formula, which I love, I hate feeling things on my face.
Sunscreen should be the LAST step in your morning skincare routine. Do not put moisturizer over sunscreen- that will compromise the sunscreen coverage.
@@jr-pr9lwunless it's a sunscreen by Ultrasun. Most of theirs go on first, bind with the skin, and after 20 mins or so you can apply any other skincare creams. Imo, you wouldn't really need to apply anything else after Ultrasun as it's enough on its own.
Applying moisturizer over a sunscreen dilutes the SPF. Dr. Dray has mentioned this in some earlier videos. I think the reason is the moisturizer can break up the film that the SPF product creates. Apply it the other way and you’ll get all the benefits of both. (Moisturizer first, then sunscreen)
@@SyKnife Not sure if you were replying to my comment about the sunscreen brand called Ultrasun? Ultrasun is a different concept altogether. It goes on first and binds with the skin. After several hours it starts to break down . But Ultrasun clearly state that their products go onto the skin FIRST and once it has binded with the skin you can apply other skincare products if you choose to. I never have as their product is always enough for me. Ultrasun also make a few products that you use in the 'traditional' way ie they go on last, over your moisturiser. Ultrasun is a Swiss suncare company and do most (if not all) of their testing for efficacy, water resistance etc in Australia to really give their products a run for their money! I also use other sunscreens such as La Roche Posay, iS Clinical etc. I'm in the UK, perhaps you don't have Ultrasun in the US?
@@Missdoubletrouble541 No, I was replying to Montana, I probably replied in the wrong spot. But this Ultrasun sounds really interesting. I will check it out.
I love the Nuetregena one! ❤️ I've had so much trouble finding a sunscreen. This is heaven. It doesn't irritate my eyes or make me look like a greaseball
A really good lip protectant/spf that I've been loving is the Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer with spf 15. It's super hydrating on the lips and provides sun protection. And for those of you who like a bit of color on your lips the Neutrogena Revitalizing and Moisturizing Tinted Lip Balm is incredible. It provides a beautiful hint of color while hydrating the lips and providing a broad spectrum spf 20.
My favorite lip sunscreen is from Paula's Choice. It's whatever the one that looks like ChapStick is, not the gloss. It's been my go-to for hiking, outdoor activities, etc for years.
As for the Hada Labo UV white gel--I've been using this sunscreen for about as long as I've been watching this channel. If they ever change it or get rid of it, I will ugly cry. It is the absolute only sunscreen I can use around my eyes with no problems whatsoever. Even better than mineral sunscreens for me.
DRMTLY universal tinted moisturiser SPF46 is my favourite tint repurchased about 6 times because of its beautiful application. On the daily Hado Labo UV white gel in the blue bottle is an everyday face, neck, décolletage, arms and hands benefit from this moisturiser quality sunscreen. My anti-sunscreen rosacea friend uses it every morning as her moisturiser (she hasn't twigged it is a sunscreen yet). Finally Aquaphor lip sunscreen gloss lives in many bags. In short I've been following Dr Dray for many happy years :)
I’m trying to go fully cruelty free on my products but aquaphor lip products have been the hardest for me to replace. You can get the aquaphor spf stick at Ulta. At least in the northeast, they always have it.
I still use the Drmtlgy Universal Tinted Sunscreen frequently. It is a smidgen dark on me since I am so fair, but not enough for me to not wear it out and about. I absolutely love this sunscreen. I also switch to the Neutrogena Purescreen Tint Sunscreen and the light tint is absolutely perfect for my fair skin. Thanks for the sunscreen video!
Many of the Japanese/Korean sunscreens arrive with no expiration date! How can we be sure we are not getting expired products when ordering from YesStyle, stylevania or the like?
I've been using Hada Labo white UV gel, it's so soothing and has a cooling effect on my skin. I love how moisturizing it is and dries down perfect. I could buy a bucket of it. 😄
The Aquaphor spf lip gloss in the squeezy tube is also really good. Easy to spread. Another good balm is the Hawaiian Tropic spf 45 in a chapstick like tube.
For this same reason I was very reluctant to wear sunscreen in the 90's and wish I had found something not heavy or irritating that I could have used. Now I have lots of dark spots.
My newest sunscreen obsession is from the brand Mad About Skin, from a RUclipsr with the same name. I’ve been wearing it all winter, but I’m just now finishing a bottle for the first time because I kept giving them away. It’s the most comfortable sunscreen I’ve ever tried, and it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin at all. I also really like the mineral SPF 30 lip balm from Sun Bum. That one leaves a white caste, but it’s comfortable and moisturizing for a mineral lip balm. My lips are super sensitive and eczema prone, so there are only a few products I can use on my lips at all.
Oh I wanted to love the Mad About Skin SPF but it made my sensitive skin just blow up. I was so sad. When I first put it on I thought bi was in heaven. I might try again but will do a patch test. My skin was so itchy and bumpy and peeling it took about 5 days of wearing nothing to get calmed down.
Add me to the list of folks who really miss Vanicream's lip sunscreen! The white cast wasn't great, but I especially loved using it around my eyes because it stayed put! Hope they bring it back. Wouldn't it be great if they came back with a tinted option? 🙂 Love all the other products you talked about in this video, they've all worked pretty well for me!
Yeah me too... I used it a lot on my lips.. the only spf for lips I could tolerate. I called Vanicream and they said they discontinued the product due to supply chain issues- couldn't get some of the ingredients they used there... they said they expect to bring it back in the future with slight changes in ingredients...
My favorite sunscreen for my face is not a face sunscreen. It's Banana Boat Ultra Sport spf 50. It's the only sunscreen that doesn't slide into my eyes but yet doesn't dry my skin out either. Cheap too. Nothing I've tried works better.
I, too, love DRMTLGY, but it did take about a week to get my face use to it. I’ve tried all sunscreens mentioned here & many, many more. Undefined R & R is by far my favorite water resistant sunscreen. My greatest concern is that there is no regulation or FDA approval of sunscreens. A product that helps prevent cancer should have proof of efficacy!
I’m pretty sure the US sunscreens are regulated since they have the active ingredient listed out separately. Also why sunscreen is eligible for FSA and HSA reimbursement.
I do love the DRMTLGY Tinted Sunscreen, but have switched to Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun SPF50 PA++++. So lightweight feeling on the face, no white cast at all. I just bought the Blistex Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Lip Protectant Sunscreen, and really like it. Spreads on lips easily, and has a slightly sweet taste that’s pleasant, and not overpowering. Thanks for the empties update ! 😃😃
Love it- tried so many products and this is the only one that’s working😍 combined with improved hair care products my hair has improved so much to the point where people started to complement me
I've been using Neutrogena Clear Face Oil Free Sunscreen SPF 30 for about a month and I love it. Pores don't get clogged and face feels and looks smooth.
I've got the Black Girl Sunscreen SPF50 lip gloss in my cart ready for purchase. I've been making my way through the Jack Black lip balm and really enjoying it, but it is only SPF25
The Pique tea looks amazing, but, wow Doc, that's one pricey drink. Looking forward to trying the Neutrogena tinted this summer! Thanks for all the great content, and giving us budget-minded gals good skin-care options!
Our family uses the Aquaphor SPF Lip Balm in the tube. We like tubes because we can share the product without sharing germs. I loved the Vanicream one and definitely preferred that! I prefer mineral sunscreens anywhere on the face!
The drmtgy made my face red! SAME with the mineral version! (which I didn't like as much anyways). The universal tinted was BEAUTIFUL on the skin so I was incredibly bummed.
Thank you! I am going to get the Aquaphor lip sunscreen. I use the Elta MD when I spend the day inside, and use R&R Undefined when I will be outside because it is a higher SPF.
I always get excited when the time for sunscreen empties is here 😊❤😍. Currently I'm trying the Avene intense protect spf50+ broad spectrum fluid and started this by taking your recommendation and it worked like a charm, moisturizing and not skipping areas ears, neck, eyes and face and hands especially now due to my scald incident 😅. Loved it today's video and my next one will be from the bondi sands you recommended 👍😇😎😍☺💙💖🙏.
@@ludmilazykina8022 Avene says Its nude shade offers a transparent, invisible finish with no white streaks, even on dark skin tones . Glad you mentioned the off smell aspect of the Dermatology. I was going to throw my new bottle out since I thought it was spoiled. And I do really like it. Thanks.
Thank you for being a consistent source of great, trustworthy info! I live in a tropical climate and am very active outdoors so always want sunscreen info! I need waterproof, reef safe sunscreen most of the time but will use this to help guide my everyday sunscreen choices.
I started using Paula's Choice Super-Light Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 based on your recommendation in another video. I have been LOVING it! It fills the need for three things... moisturizer, sunscreen AND primer before my foundation.
Bought the dupe for SuperGoop sunscreen last week after seeing your video. I love it!!! The only downside is that stings the eyes so Ive been using the Australian Gold tinted sunscreen around the eyes
thank you Dr Dray for your videos-I find them very educational. As a person who loves animals and cares a lot about their wellbeing, I'd highly appreciate if you could do a ranking of best mineral sunscreens and skin care products that are vegan and cruelty-free. That's what I want to buy and I'm sure I'm not the only one. thank you so much!
I was going to say your skin looks amazing! I went to buy it at my local Fred Myer and I only found 1, I guess many people in Washington state are watching you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Have you ever tried Australian Gold? Not bad at all but limited colors. I mix the light and medium together for the perfect match. If you are fair to light, get the light.
Great video! My new favorite lip balm SPF 15 is the Carmex daily care I found at Dollar Tree. It's in a stick and a chemical sunscreen but my lips can tolerate chemical even though the rest of my face can't. It goes on clear like a lip gloss over my lipstick and stays on well. I keep one in my purse for when I'm going outdoors. It's a lovely strawberry scent but just a warning in case you can't do fragrance.
I have started using DRMTLGY tinted sunscreen and really like it. I have dry skin and I do not need to apply a moisturizer first because it is so moisturizing. I also not not use foundation when I use it. The tint looks natural with my complexion.
Black Girl Sunscreen has recently came out with a SPF 50 lipgloss , it’s a clear lipgloss , very thick and I wear it over matte lipstick or by itself. I purchased mine from Ulta.

I called Vanicream and they said they discontinued the product due to supply chain issues- couldn't get some of the ingredients they used there... they said they expect to bring it back in the future with slight changes in ingredients...
Highly recommended beauty of joseon rice + preobiotic spf 50 sunscreen. Best I've ever used xx
I love seeing your natural hair texture peeking through!
Thank you for the Eucerin spf suggestion. You are right, it not disappointed. I really like it….!!
My favorite sunscreen for my face is not a face sunscreen. It's Banana Boat Ultra Sport spf 50. It's the only sunscreen that doesn't slide into my eyes but yet doesn't dry my skin out either. Cheap too. Nothing I've tried works better.
The skin1004 centalla sunscreen under my makeup pills! But I didn’t stop using it cuz I love the texture so much haha
Sunscreens are regulated in the us by the fda. Where are you getting your information?
Dr. Dray! You always look so beautiful, thank you for all your videos & the consistency 🙏🏻 you've always been very helpful! ❤
Thank you 😊
@@DrDrayzday Thank you for enlightening me and enriching my household
Best lip sunscreen I have ever used is BLISTEX FIVE STAR LIP PROTECTION. Super hydrating, spf 30, water resistant 80 mins, and around $3.
Beauty of Joseon is my all time favourite sunscreen as well! Fantastic underneath make up! Glad you discovered it😊.
Love it- tried so many products and this is the only one that’s working😍 combined with improved hair care products my hair has improved so much to the point where people started to complement me
You should review the O'Keefes spf lip balm!
Skin1004 is the best (and I can't even tell you how many I've tried)! No white cast, no irritation, lightweight, on and on...the best!
I've been using Neutrogena Clear Face Oil Free Sunscreen SPF 30 for about a month and I love it. Pores don't get clogged and face feels and looks smooth.
Just placed my order for the Skin1004 hyalu-cica sun serum through your link. Thank you for all of your hard work!
Can you please make a sunscreen for sports video? Specifically sunscreen sticks??
Wish the Hada Labo was available in tinted. It is a super spreadable, great feeling product.
When I cut the top off an empty-ish tube I still use the top. Just fit it over the open part.
I've been liking Blistex five star spf 30 lip care lately.
My favorite for oily skin is LRP Anthelios clear skin spf 60 DRY TOUCH. Holy grail. Works great with L’Oréal true match serum foundation too
I've got the Black Girl Sunscreen SPF50 lip gloss in my cart ready for purchase. I've been making my way through the Jack Black lip balm and really enjoying it, but it is only SPF25
maybe you could test some k-beauty spf for the body too 🌞
The Pique tea looks amazing, but, wow Doc, that's one pricey drink. Looking forward to trying the Neutrogena tinted this summer! Thanks for all the great content, and giving us budget-minded gals good skin-care options!
Same on pique. Pretty pricey, Super skeptical on taste personally.
For you lovelies that are on the pale side the DRMTLGY Tinted is a bit on the 🍊for me. I love the DRMTLGY untinted 🙌
Me too but also like the coverage so I mix a few pumps of each (the untinted SPF 45 and the physical tinted SPF 44) together and apply :)
@@quackygirl711 oh good tip!!
Skin 1004 hyalu-cica sun serum is definitely one of the best and underrated sunscreens.
Can you do a video on the best sunscreens with mexoryl? I forget to reapply so love this ingredient.
Happy Tuesday!
I use the Elta MD when I spend the day inside, and use R&R Undefined when I will be outside because it is a higher SPF.
have you tried Hero suncream? The sheer colours is so good it doesn't really make you white and all mineral
Thanks for sharing. What is the tone of the tint? Does it work for not super dark skin?
@@ludmilazykina8022 Avene says Its nude shade offers a transparent, invisible finish with no white streaks, even on dark skin tones . I think it will go great on you because it is nude as they say and you will get a wave of hydration. Check out on google how it looks the colour of the sunscreen and you will understand the nude shade I'm talking about.
I agree completely re packaging. I couldn’t figure out a way to store it that it didn’t leak out of tube. I won’t repurchase for that reason l
Glad you mentioned the off smell aspect of the Dermatology. I was going to throw my new bottle out since I thought it was spoiled. And I do really like it. Thanks.
I was so hyped when you said Sun Goddess Matcha. That's my go to every morning
LOVE the Neutrogena tinted mineral sunscreen & store it in a small juice glass cap-end-up to avoid the tip getting so leaky/messy.
I am so excited to see your sunscreen empties.🎉
Yay! Thank you!
Thank you for being a consistent source of great, trustworthy info! I live in a tropical climate and am very active outdoors so always want sunscreen info! I need waterproof, reef safe sunscreen most of the time but will use this to help guide my everyday sunscreen choices.
Yes, isn't she wonderful? We are so lucky!
I started using Paula's Choice Super-Light Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 based on your recommendation in another video. I have been LOVING it! It fills the need for three things... moisturizer, sunscreen AND primer before my foundation.
I love the Drmtlgy one. Neutrogena pure screen did not work out for me. Too sticky and never really dried down.
“My dranks!” 😂 Me too! 🫖🍵☕️
😂
Bought the dupe for SuperGoop sunscreen last week after seeing your video. I love it!!! The only downside is that stings the eyes so Ive been using the Australian Gold tinted sunscreen around the eyes
I love the Neutrogena! Amazing! I used the light so far and going to try the medium.. ty, love it!!
I’m hooked on La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400 tinted
I love La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400 so much! how do you get this one in the US? eBay is a scam, I don't trust eBay skincare
Can you plz recommend a sunscreen without niacinamide and ha as they both break out.
I wish the Neutrogena tinted sunscreens came in a larger tube
I'm loving the bondi sands spf 50 that you recommended a while back. Thanks!
thank you Dr Dray for your videos-I find them very educational. As a person who loves animals and cares a lot about their wellbeing, I'd highly appreciate if you could do a ranking of best mineral sunscreens and skin care products that are vegan and cruelty-free. That's what I want to buy and I'm sure I'm not the only one. thank you so much!
Ready to take notes! I need to prepare my sunscreen stash for the summer.☀️🌤
I think sunscreen with pool float plastic smell is endearing as well 🥰
Is there a “best of” for water resistant sunscreens or sunscreens for sports/ sweat prone? Thank you
I might try doing a search, dr dray water resistant sunscreen.
I do like the sun bum mineral lip balm.
I was going to say your skin looks amazing! I went to buy it at my local Fred Myer and I only found 1, I guess many people in Washington state are watching you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm going to be in WA State in a couple of weeks and just remembered that I can buy that Supergoop dupe at Fred Meyer, LOL.
Ang advice please! Can I consume matcha tea during breastfeeding?
Have you ever tried Australian Gold? Not bad at all but limited colors. I mix the light and medium together for the perfect match. If you are fair to light, get the light.
It’s my favorite, too!
The Neutrogena lit my eyes on fire. I purchases the Coppertone baby sunscreen and love it but I am really worried about breaking out from it.
Skin1004 Madagascar Sun Serum is fantastic! I’ve bought and tried many a sunscreen since buying it, but this is what I keep reaching for. Love it!
A sunscreen video! I’m so excited 😆
Hope you like it!
Thank you yet again! Could you please review Ulta Beauty tinted moisturizer SPF 24?
To me it smells like back in the day make up, it doesn’t bother me at all. It’s like a trip down memory lane and i love that sunscreen too!
I recommend MadAboutSkin spf50+ 4+ and Biore Aqua Watery Sun Gel for Water Resistant . Skin Aqua gold top is good but prefer the other two . 🙌👏😊🌈🇬🇧🇪🇺
Dr.dray loves all sunscreens 🤗
Dr Dray is the best!
I currently use Korean sunscreen from Barr cosmetic, it's really nice like most of them, great ingredients and texture
Loveeeee the DRMTLGY tinted sunscreen & their regular SPF as well! I’ve used them both a lot and I also repurchase over and over.
I’ve tried the new Biore UV Aqua Rich Aqua Protect Lotion and i love it so much. It suits the tropical hot climate we have here in Thailand so much.
