@@scorpionsensualtouch6214 that's a really nasty judgemental comment. You have obviously never been so down and out in your life before, that you don't have two cents to rub together. You have no idea what horrible conditions others go through, and why and how they ended up in those circumstances. Perhaps she, and other homeless people, did in fact have jobs, homes, money, previously....but they lost it all. Look how many millions of people have lost their jobs, homes, cars, their lives....due to covids destructive nature. Do they also need to be wrongfully judged by you and others, who perhaps have more than they have? One of our volunteers belts out old timey tunes when he visits a client, who has dementia but still remembers music. All our deliverers buy birthday gifts for clients out of their own pocket. The sign of a strong society is one that takes care of its weakest members, and values them because of their humanity.

As a former care worker who cared for elderly patients, this broke my heart. Elders are a golden part of society, they fought for our rights today and they brought us all up. They do not, ever, deserve to be treated the way many are. Anyone who hurts a elder, should be locked up for years and years. Does not matter if it is financial, physical or whatever. Any negative action toward a elder, should be treated as a serious offence. So many people of elder age, could and can become so violently ill from the slightest negative action... It is something that needs to be remembered and addressed.

What an absolutely heart-wrenching documentary for the UK. First lady that got beaten with her husband by her daughters husband, then the Irish man that got just tormented by kids and home destroyed by those thugs. Hats off to the gent that helps out Sheila, there are good souls out there - although she should never be out in the street.
Then you have Margret who died alone in her bath. Obviously a strong independent and intelligent soul who likely didn't want to be a burden/ask questions with her benefits form when she likely reached out to ask for some assistance - God Bless her soul.
We pay so much in taxes and it just seems that the elderly and homeless are just, well as the title, forgotten. Whereas you get all those benefits scroungers sucking thousands out the system - where as the others on the system truly needing help are punished by that system too.
I can only imagine what these people are going through now given the pandemic. Absolutely disgraceful, makes you ashamed to be living here - although thankyou for making this and publishing it on RUclips to give this some attention.

My grandma spent the last year and a half of her life alone. We were still around but she was so nasty to us that we had to distance ourselves. I know most lonely old people don't become such by choice but it's worth remembering that some people are a toxic black hole their entire life and don't change in old age, if anything they become worse.

Society needs to wake up to the truth and tragedy that befalls our Elderly today...
This generation of people’s in all walks of life fought, with massive losses,in both World wars....
They need our respect and empathy towards them as they fought for our Freedom!
Our elders are living lot longer lives now( and why shouldn’t they?) because of our medical care.....
Unfortunately, sometimes they outlive their families and are left alone....I cannot think of anything sadder than that happening...
I have had the honour of working in a Residential Home .....I I’m retired now and still miss them all... I had no grandparents alive so I treated them with the same empathy and respect that they deserved....just one really well cared home for elderly people who couldn’t thank us all enough for looking after them! I used to say to them...if it wasn’t for all the courage and determination that all these people had..we would probably have been made to live under a dictator of Evil and sadistic crimes....God Bless all of our brave warriors who conquered this evil....I wish that people now would treat our elderly with understanding and empathy and think....I could end my days in my home and nobody would know or care! Now how very sad is that?

Why would anyone take their parents to a home or abandon them? They give birth to you, raise you up only for you to chuck them into a home or neglect them. Cursed lot!!! And on immigrants and refugees, it's not all their fault. Time people treat others like people, we can all live harmoniously.

It hurts my heart so much that I live so far from her. I try to see her at least 4 or more times a year. My mother lives close to her. I remember spending time with my great grandparents! I love all those memories. It kills me that some people are so selfish that they'd rather be as far from their elderly as they can be! Like children our elderly needs to be cherished and loved, even the grumpy ones!

When I am able to visit I spend every moment I can with her! So next time you decide to judge someone remember, you don't know the whole story! I wasn't complaining, I was simply commenting that it is sad so many people want nothing to do with our elderly. They have so much to offer, even my grandmother who has no memories of her family. I always said that I had no problem with refugees if needy CANADIANS were cared for as well. Now, I want our citizens to be cared for first. There is alot of poor, lonely, abused people in Canada. That pretty much hits the mark!.........Yes being old and forgotten is really a reality specially today 2017..when there is so many distractions available to the younger generation today ,...that along with ...upbringing and family values that have failed to be implanted by so many Ignorant parents that have gone through the same lifestyles themselves. Also the lack of Religion and sense of responsibility plays a major role in this tragic happening, I know for a fact that no matter how much my ex-wife and I tried properly to raise our kids in the sixties,..today even though they keep in touch very rarely,..it is not the way we kept in touch with our parents when we were young. It was a different world then,...but as I always say....................what goes around......comes around. I see them now going through the same with their kids and I just smile and look up to the Heavens........Because us getting older now....holds no advantage or Interest for them and their own private and wonderful
life.....not to mention the....rage and ...anger that's out there now.

Hi, there! It's very sad to know that people treat old people like nothing knowing full well that they will be old one day. However am Preston hope you are fine, and staying safe. Where are you from? Hope you don't mind me asking.

Growing up my grandfather lived with us until he died aged 95 (I was probably 13 at the time). He was a true gentleman, who wasn’t afraid to show his disapproval if people behaved in a poor manner. He was respected, cared for and loved by all the family, even as he became more frail in his final years. People who abuse the elderly are the most spineless and deserve the toughest prison sentences. I cannot believe the treatment some of these people have gone through whilst watching this

A society can judge itself on how it treats its children, its animals, those who may be vulnerable and also the elderly. The right of passage must ensue. These are the vulnerables of society and must be cared for as they have much to say if nothing else about human nature and the lessons they have learned. We must respect our elderly. It is so heartbreaking X

I feel so angry and ashamed of this damed country!!! And all its so called government
That we can treat poor elderly people this way Have they no conscience. They have lived
And contributed to this country even fort for it and for what? To be abused to live on the streets or
To be moved from home to home. There needs to be more programs about this subject to bring it
    To the forefront 😡😡😡😡😡😡

I am older now having worked for 40 years and my husband worked 33 years as a police officer and I have lost him. I am extremely lucky that I have his pension and mine and social security. I am lucky that my son lives with me now and helps me.I am at the least very comfortable. I feel for all of these people so very sad.
