Well behaved kids. Good father & mother, getting the basics right. Help should always be there for those who are unable to work through no fault of their own.
I was 17 in 1985 we moved to Wales & I remember going into the job centre & having the pick of jobs, the walls were covered in open positions. I realise now how lucky I was .
My mate said the same he was 16 in 1984 and he said you could start a job on Monday leave on a Friday and have a new job by Monday and so on and so on. Until you found one you actually liked. Crazy.
I felt for Tony the most cuz he was doing the best he could taking care of his parents. But his getting acting gigs- he’d be able to help them better in the long run- while also having a life of his own. Hearing his pain really hurt my heart. The father didn’t really seem like a good getter. It was like he was just going thru the motions of looking for a job. I wonder where they all are now.

We are back in 85 now

Poor Tony. I would rather crawl on my hands and knees than burden my children like this . Shame on social services. 😢
