Everything was secure and in good shape. No weird smells. The weight changing mechanism is really smooth and straight forward. Changing weight is really fast and easy. Though the handle is plastic, I don't think it will be breaking anytime soon. So far pretty impressed after my first session with them. I was afraid they were going to be too wide at first, but I didn't have any issues with them while doing upright rows.
I generally like to recommend resting at least 24 hours before repeating training the same muscle group. I think you will see much better results if you did this 2x per week for 3-4 rounds but another method you could try is every other day for 1-2 rounds 🤙🏻

If you are limited to 5 lb dumbbells then I would recommend a different frequency than this routine. You could do these exercises time based instead like 45 seconds - 1 min or you can do each exercise amrap which means as many reps as possible and follow the 30 sec rest period in between. Then if you ever get more weight options, you can push yourself with this 15 rep scheme and progress by adding more weight. But with only 1 weight option, your best progressional method will be increasing reps! Gotta do whatever works best for you and your scenario 👌🏻
I think that if you're just starting out get your form right then build the weight up as and when you can. Once you find doing the weight you have is becoming too easy you'll have to increase the weight for maximum benefit.

Sounds like you need to work on your mind muscle connection! If you’re not feeling your chest engaged then it’s not firing properly. Hello Mike, I got a couple of questions you might be able to answer to help me get to where I need to go. First one is do you have to use big weights to build muscle? I have been doing your 5 minute intense workouts with 3kg dumbells for a week now, last week I made myself a plan of what areas to train on certain days, and so far I’ve done 3-4 of your 5 minute intense videos a day with 2 rest days this week, but on my rest days I am still training abs for 5-10 minutes because I started your 30 day ab workout on the first day too, but the main problem I have is I’m 165lb and 19% body fat now, and I’m not sure if I keep doing your workouts like that with only 3kg weather instead of losing around 10-12lb of fat and putting on 12-14lb of muscle and being around 165-170lb with 15% fat... I could just burn the fat off and get down to about 150lb and not gain much muscle?
I think you are on the right track with your setup and mindset! If you are limited to only 3kg dumbbells, that is ok. The other progressional methods for the intense workouts are doing more reps and limiting excess rest so you can push to get better that way and you’ll build muscle. You may not gain as much mass as if you were doing more weight, but you def will develop more defined muscularity as well as endurance. Then you can use your cardio and diet to slowly lose body fat. That process over time should get you a physique you’ll love 👽
Would it be a good idea to combine this with the tricep workout to make it a full arm workout? When I say combine I mean do a bicep exercise then tricep then bicep etc

Sorry I should have explained better ..I've had back surgery do the exercises you do for chest and shoulder while laying on the floor I find that I naturally can't do them ..so I have to adapt are they just as effective ..

You def should be able to make it work on the floor! I think you just need to readjust your body positioning or maybe even potentially go on your knees if your arms are that long. I’ve done this exercise seated on the floor before! If all that fails though, maybe standing and drop on a bed or couch or something for the dead part? Whatever works! You got this 💪🏻
