Hello Memo: thank you VERY MUCH for your accurate and concise explanation along with the great demonstration on how to run the cabling. I think now I will buy this rear camera for my unit. I really appreciate you taking the time for such a great video. Cheers, mate!
Thanks bro for the great feedback! I love having a rear #Nextbase camera on my Land Cruiser. Let me Know how you like it once you get it! Cheers! bit.ly/ShopNextBase
Memo if you don’t have a factory tent you can take the car to a tint shop and they can remove a small section of tent where the cameras so you can clear visibility for the camera 😊👍🏽
Great vid. Please I'm looking for a dash cam that starts recording anytime at my request in my stationary truck (without necessarily starting the engine. Which dash cam brand would you recommend?
@@MisterMemo nice. I bought one this morning to replace my broken individual rear cam. My nextbase 222 does not have a socket for a rear cam. My new 320XR was a demonstrator so I got it with a 23% discount. I will install it soon
@@MisterMemo I will do. I first need to have the tools. My FIAT has bolts on the big trims and seatbelts. I want to pull the wire through the headliner over the curtain airbags. I don't want to obstruct them for if they never need to deploy
Thanks for watching! It's tough to see out the rear camera with my tint at night. Someone suggested cutting out a circle on my tint but I rather not. In the day time it's great! Hope that's hopeful!
Only comes with a single mount. I’m sure you can get purchase a second one. If I was to plan to use it on two cars I would also get a second wire that goes to the dash cam. So you wouldn’t have to keep removing the wire from one car to the other.
I got the 422 GW. I was impressed how the camera magnetically connects to the screen mount so when you get to your destination you can just pull the camera away from the screne mount so that it's not on show. I then bought the rear cam which connects into the camera not the screen mount therefore i now need to disconnect the rear camera from the front camea beofre i can pull the front camera away from the screen mount. Seems a really bad design. Surely the rear camera could be made to attach into the front powered screen mount. Has anyone found a solution to this ?
is there anywy to install this into a diff dashcam or get it working without a dashcam....somehow trick it? Ive gotta brandnew 1 and never used it then I change my front dashcam
I would try turning off the Dash cam and unplugging it. Start it over and turn it off. Then plug it back in and see. If not, reach out to Nextbase support.
@@MisterMemo Thanks, I'm still confused though (sorry!). It automatically turns on both dash cams when the dash cam is powered on? My question was really just, when you turn on your car, do both cameras automatically turn on and start recording, or do you need to remember to hit the 'record' button each time before you start driving. I think this is the case, just want to confirm. Again, great video!
Hi I have a 2016 honda civic and my rear window is tilted so I have been unable to get a good view any suggestions? did anyone else have the same issue with their car
Adding a rear window cam from #nextbase is a great addition to the safety of my Land Cruiser! #RideWithNextBase
@@foppo100 Hopefully nothing! :)

We just bought two, Christmas gifts. I’m worried about the wiring.
Thak you from England for easy and well explained instructions for installing...
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it mate!

It does have the factory tent. It works great in the day time. I just have to live with that for the night time. Good looking out tho!
@@MisterMemo it’s good then take a to the tent shop and just have them turn my circle right where the camera is mounted so I’ll have a clear vision👍🏽😊

Great installation videos! Thanks for doing this.
Thanks for watching!😎👍🏼
Great job. I've learnt something new. Many Thanks.
😎👍🏽
good to see you back in action bro.
Thanks bro!
Question. Can you have the
- Dashcam
- Rear cam
- Cabin view
All running at the same time?
I have the Dash Cam and rear window camera. The rear camera connects to same spot that the cabin camera connects to.
👍🏽 Any tips on guiding the wire thru the grommet and to that rear hatch hole?
Patience and a good wire guide for that. That’s the only hard part of the installation.
is that a sticky pad for the rear?? wont that ruin the tinted window film???
It is double sided tape. I haven't had any issues with my tint and I don't plan on removing the rear camera.
You cut the removal off the front trim. You should show the trouble you have during these projects. Keeps it real.
@@johnclayton903 I believe I mentioned that you can see that on my other video of installing the front dashcam.

Thanks! The way I have my nextbase 622 hardwired to a consistent power it always recording when power is on.
I notice you have a tinted rear window does that affect picture quality at all?
Not at all, still looks crisp.
Was there any extra wire or just enough? If extra what did you do with it, stuff it up in the headliner?
There was plenty of wire. All the extra I zipped tied it inside the piller and headliner
Does the rear camera record video onto the microSD from the front camera?
Yes, it does!😎👍🏽

What do I do if the camera isn't popping up

That is mini HDMI. Thanks.
Mine rear cam won’t work:(

Thanks for the great video. So do you need to manually turn it on each time you start driving or does it automatically turn on and start recording?

Are you using the same rear camera? If so, it should adjust if not mount it lower closer to the lower part of the hatch. See if that helps.
damn this looks hard to do
I hate running wires and this wasn't to hard on my Land Cruiser.
should be able to connect via wifi...
I went on ahead as you kept saying and missed the video.
video took too long to start thums down
