I'm considering in learning to set up dashcams properly and establishing a dascham sale & installation business here in Mexico. This video helped me out a lot! thank you
Thanks for the video. I'm about to embark on the same process with a new dashcam and my 2023 Lincoln Aviator. This answered a lot of questions for me. Very helpful indeed
Nice clear easy to follow install. I have an accord so a little different but still same concept. I can run the long cables into the headliner and around the airbag doors. I’ll search here on RUclips I’m sure there’s tons of tutorials just like yours who can help.
I'm going to try something like this with my 2018 Honda HRV. I never thought about putting the rear camera inside of the car. This is very helpful. Thank you!
I have a Pruveeo 4CH dash cam for my 2016 CRV, but due to procrastination I haven't installed the rear camera yet. I think I'll do the same thing you did, but I'm gonna see if I can mount the camera on the ceiling instead of on the tailgate. Although it might be easier to just do it this way
Yeah... tucking in the cable slack in the ceiling upholstery makes more sense than having it in your glove compartment. Wish i seen this video prior to installing my rear view cam 😂
Nice clean work! Is the rear camera clear from inside, or do you have any glare issues? I am planning to install one inside as outer camera goes bad bein in constant touch with weather.
Hey man, I really like your video on installing the rear camera. I saw 2 others that skipped this part of the install. But I find that Kia Sportage interior is almost identical to your Honda CrV. Thanks for the detailed information on this confusing subject. 😊
I like the camera A LOT! However, I would ONLY buy it if you were to come install it. If I tried removing the weather stripping and tried the "fishing," my car would be a HOT MESS!
Sir, I have something to say. When I installed the camera fog, the screen keeps turning off. What should I do so that it doesn't turn off? Thank you very much.?
This video is excellent and very helpful. A suggestion might be to Identify the dashcam in the video at the beginning of the video instead of in the comments and the year of CRV it was installed in. I just ordered the same dash cam with a battery pack for a 2022 CRV that I just paid for but have not picked up yet.
The dash cam was Thinkware U1000, you can see the full review of the camera here, ruclips.net/video/NffPzC2YFHY/видео.html. Here is the part 3 to tap the wires, ruclips.net/video/UEQM1uWU2iI/видео.html
After watching this video I regret buying rear dash cam for Honda CRV... 😅 OMG, how wil I put the cable inside the back door? Lol...😂 Appears too difficult...
That tape + lubricant trick at 2:51 turned that job into seconds. THANK YOU!
Vacuum cleaner hose and fishing line is best for snaking anything. I used that method to run 300 feet of ethernet through 1/2" buried pvc conduit.
By far the best rear dash cam installation video I watched. Thanks much for the tutorial, it helps a lot! 👍
This is a very helpful and very detailed tutorial on how to set up a rear dashcam. Thank you
I'm considering in learning to set up dashcams properly and establishing a dascham sale & installation business here in Mexico. This video helped me out a lot! thank you
Thanks for putting this together. I was wondering how to fish the cables from the liftgate to the frame. cheers!
Just installed the 70mai rear cam in my 2014 CR-V using your instructions. Took only 1 hour, could have taken much much longer. Thank you very much.
I always worry about the rubber trim not going back like new
Thanks this helped me immensely. Back tailgate routing is done heading to the front.
Thanks for the video. I'm about to embark on the same process with a new dashcam and my 2023 Lincoln Aviator. This answered a lot of questions for me. Very helpful indeed
Thank you so much for this video it’s July 2024 and I managed to install my NexPow dual cam front & rear dash cam in my Honda crv 2016!
Nice clear easy to follow install. I have an accord so a little different but still same concept. I can run the long cables into the headliner and around the airbag doors. I’ll search here on RUclips I’m sure there’s tons of tutorials just like yours who can help.

Thank you very much for showing how to put rear camera neatly into tailgate and through interior trim.
Really well described. I'm going to try on my Corsair. Thank you for all your efforts, I really appreciate it.
Thank you so much for your video, a very detailed explanation. Really helpful.
Thanks for the ideas. Finally got rid of the excess cable. I have a 2025 CRV hybrid Sport L and Blackvue DR900x
I did same procedure and work well on CRV 2020... Thanks!!!
Thank you for your tips and thanks for showing everything. Great tips for routing your cable to the back piece. I used the same tools.
Yeah... tucking in the cable slack in the ceiling upholstery makes more sense than having it in your glove compartment. Wish i seen this video prior to installing my rear view cam 😂
This is a great do it yourself video bro. Well done and big thank you for the tips! Fantastic job by the way.
Thanks. I will install a rear camera on my Prius soon. This video helps. 😊
This was very helpful, even with my 2019 CR-V. Thanks!
Thanks you very much! I’m new to the whole dash cam world so this will help a lot!
The best video on this subject that I've seen. Thanks.
Nice clean work! Is the rear camera clear from inside, or do you have any glare issues? I am planning to install one inside as outer camera goes bad bein in constant touch with weather.
Good Job. Very professional!

Can you pass the cable through the roof of the car? it would be easier, no ? or is there any disadvantage ? PS Great and helpful the video .
Fantastic tutorial thank you
Excellent Video.
Good video I like what you done
Great video, my friend. Thanks...
I like the camera A LOT! However, I would ONLY buy it if you were to come install it. If I tried removing the weather stripping and tried the "fishing," my car would be a HOT MESS!
Thank you for sharing!
Hello! Thanks for the video.
Can you use parking mode on dash cams by connecting to a power bank( like a jackery) instead of hardwiring it?
Yes, there are battery packs for that usage, amzn.to/3VZ6ZNv
Very helpfull, thank you
How many lange the cables you buy new in one packed with dashcam.. 🙏
excellent tutorial
Great job. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Very helpful.Thank you.
Thank for your video ❤

Excellent!! Thank you so much 🥳👌🏻
Is this method working for 2024 Nissan Pathfinder ? Thanks
thanks for making this video
Hey can the wires run through roof liner ? Don't want to work through pillars
Can you make one of these for a 2003 subararu WRX wagon?:P
Thank you for your help
Better mount is on the roof. Slamming the door shut is quite a shock for a camera.
Did you think the rearview camera view was ok when it rained or snowed outside?
There are no issues with the camera. You do need to make sure your rear window is cleaned.
Thank you, excellent explanation 👍🏻
lots of videos How to install the camera but I didn't see any video how to connect the camera to get a picture
Good job

What is the name (brand) of dashcam front and rear. And where did you tap the wire? Please and thank you

完啦 😊

WD40 is not the best of the cable. Nor Vaseline. A lot of things "eat" the insulation costing on wires. Use safe lubrication only.
Like Lube Life?
@@jerrygeorge3604silicone based lubricant should be fine
Forget WD40 it evaporates to quickly. Get some DRY LUBE.
I like your name😂
lol wish u had a 2025 MDX
Thanks great Reviews 👍
Helps allot for people not good at
Installation issues
Nice vid
Thank you sir!
Thank you - Great install video clear
but is if safe to put the adhesive pad on the defrost line?
