The kid is a 2200 otb player in fact he was 2300 in June and dropped 100 points even drop 20 points in January. And he barely plays OTB and only plays online and I think we could see why now. Alot of you kids need to stop listening to these streamers creating drama and grow up.

We can all agree that Vlad is a bit too toxic on this topic. However, you cannot, with 100% certainty, say that there was nothing suspicious in White's play. Even a single, obvious-looking move from afar, could have been supported by the engine during the play and we could never prove it. The rule of thumb is to never fully trust your opponent during an online play. I lost 2 games in classical online play, only to find out that those two players were banned afterward, even thought I haven't felt anything 'suspicious' during the game.

Kramnik was once a top player, but hasn't kept up with the development of theory. His ego won't let him see this, so he just accuses everyone of cheating. It's just getting sad. He underestimated his opponent, went for a reckless attack, then gets salty when his opponent punishes his recklessness and overconfidence with solid play.
3:57 Bf1 isn't even hard to find here. It's a common defensive idea in these structures, and a common response to your queen being under threat is to counterattack your opponent's queen. Ra7 is also not a difficult move to find. Putting a rook on the 7th or 2nd rank is a common attacking idea, and it's just a matter of calculating whether your attack is faster than Black's. My point is that nothing Artem played here was some bizarre engine line. Just solid, principled chess.
It's worth noting that young kids are often underrated, since they are learning and progressing rapidly, and haven't had the time to reach their true rating. They are the last opponents you want to underestimate and disrespect like Kramnik did here.

Agreed. I'm not practiced enough to be anywhere near this level in my own games, but even I saw a few of these blunders and how to punish them; obviously it's harder in the game than from the sidelines after the fact, but I'm an amateur and he's a bit better than I am so I'd imagine that normally helps 😂
They both played better than I do, but this just looked like Kramnik got sloppy against someone good enough to punish him for it. Even I can get 90+ accuracy when someone gives me an obvious blunder to work with. If a kid is wrecking you when you're playing extremely well, that's one thing, but anyone can lose when they have a bad day. OTB I'll pick up wins from people double my rating or lose to people who've only played a handful of times just because one mistake is all it takes sometimes.

I suggest you cover the game Kramnik played about 10 days ago. Aman from the Chessbrahs channel covered it, the video is titled 'Was Kramnik's Opponent Cheating?' and don't forget to check the graph. Kramnik literally chooses to fixate on the numbers (btw he doesn't even understand how exactly accuracy is calculated and he admits it) and ignores the details of the games themselves. It's funny to see but also very sad!

I find it so strange almost all the streamers including danya and Nakamura have a huge drastic increase in performance rating online then they do compared to the OTB Blitz play. All the smurfs what a coincidence. None of the other top 10 most of the top 100 have no such differences. I still remember aman losing to a 1900 at the Olympiad. Lmao.

The nationalities are certainly noteworthy given global events, but I don't think they play much of a role here. Kramnik is far from discriminating when it comes to levelling cheating accusations. To him, people of all nationalities, ethnicities, ages, skill levels, genders and eye colors are cheating rampantly in online chess.

He's just way too emotional over it. As soon as he lost he reported the player for cheating. He didn't take a moment to calmly reflect and analyse. It's wham, I lost he must be cheating. Nevermind my sacrifice wasn't that great. Nevermind my own accuracy wasn't that great. It's just an instant emotional response to losing, must report that as cheating. It was the same thing with his long posting rants; all emotion written quickly and angrily and with no logical substance.
That's a good point. He is reacting emotionally - reflected in his chess too - is there an illness that reduces emotional inhibitions? (Don't tell me old age lol)
This is such an underrated channel IMO. I watch Levy and Agadmator as well, this one is right there with them.

@@cooloutacwrong. David is right. Kramnik comes from a completely different school of chess. He is behind the times and the way he went about his anti-cheating crusade was terrible and unprofessional. He went from being a respected former world champion to a laughing stock.

That's exactly why FIDE decided to do a review of their rating system. In part, because it doesn't reflect the true strength of many players below 2000, especially younger players or people who trained a lot during Covid online.

He can't believe he's playing on a website that's dominated by cheayers but that's only because he's never played any other esport or he would have realized this is just the norm for the past 30 years. Guaranteed 99% of the people commenting on this video probably use multiple accounts on the website which breaks tos and they see absolutely nothing wrong with it because their favorite cheating streamer does the same thing. I have first thought kramnik was just a sore loser when he complained about being flagged by vincent keymer, because I feel that is just simply part of the game. But now I realize that was probably rooted in frustration over the situation of online chess in general being so toxic and fraudulent. And the fact he is being so public and aggressive about this he's literally a hero to all the other professional chess players and all the adults in the room who know better.

The better the quality of play of your opponent, the harder it is to maintain high accuracy. 78% accuracy against opponents around 700 elo is not the same thing as 78% accuracy against opponents around 2200 elo, or 2700 elo.

He just always understood tempo, and that it's not just about where you're going, but what you're leaving behind - and black definitely opened opportunities for white - like with pawn to f3, opening the queen check. So it's not really what Dyachuk did, it's what Kramnik failed to do...

Well I am a 1300 myself and I can find best moves in puzzles that are 2000-2500 level sometimes. My average puzzle rating is 2000. Once his opponent felt he is brutally attacked he gave up on theory and focused on finding best moves to defend the king and managed to do that. Naturally the opponent started to gain advantage due to extra piece towards the end.
Ignoring the cheating allegations, that was an epic sacrifice and it made for a very interesting game. Even toward the end, I would have picked Kramnik as the winner.
I liked that I could actually see all the logic in the moves. Some of these GM level games (or perhaps FM level in this case) are just beyond me and I can't figure out why they're moving where they do, but this one was crystal clear at all times.

Kramnik is a victim of his own hype. He believes that, because he was the 14th world chess champion all those years ago, he should not lose to anyone lower rated than he is, ever.
What Kramnik FORGOT is that he is a world champion in the classical format. Not rapid, not blitz, not bullet. And was competing under the most serious and supportive chess federation in the world (Russia). No doubt this man had the best team of Russian GM's coaching him on his opponent going into those matches.
Furthermore, a teenage FIDE Master is just a Grandmaster who has yet to prove himself. Kramnik should give the kid more credit.

these 14 y. o. kids often has way worse rating that their actual playing strenght. It takes long time to get their rating to reflect their real level. So kid could be 2400 for all we know and Kramnik declined a lot since he quit active chess career. 70 % accuracy is certainly not something to be proud of. And opponent cant not influence your play even if he is playing 93% You make your own moves and Kramnik made lot of mistakes here

Unfortunately he likely was cheating. It is insanely easy to cheat online and get away with it. Nobody cheats for the entire game, they save it for certain sequences making them virtually impossible to catch.

He's terrible OTB for some reason but apparently he was labeled as a prodigy and future world champion years ago so he's got the pressure he's got to live up to. It's probably why he sticks to only playing online and barely plays OTB. He lost 100 points this year including 20 points in January and is only a 2200 player offline.
@@cooloutac I have no idea where did you get that information, but in after looking up his FIDE profile, none of the things you say are correct. In January 2024 he gained 6.8 points according to chart founded in his profile. If you are talking about his blitz rating, well he didn't play OTB blitz in January. In 2023 he gained a lot of rating points in all time controls. He had one month where lost 51 points, but that's about it. So, saying that he barely plays OTB is incorrect and probably he likes to play online, because he's travelling options are probably very limited, because you know why.

Nobody plays OTB blitz, unless it’s tiebreaker or world championship. Let’s be honest. He lost 51.4 points in July 2023. He didn’t lose rating points in rapid or blitz. In 9/12 months he played at least one classical chess game. That is not “barely” and besides it’s not like he has money and time to play as many classical games as possible in a year, and it’s not like FIDE rated tournaments are appearing every weekend.
Once again, he won because Kramnik played poorly that’s it. He doesn’t constantly win against superGMs. He plays OTB, so saying that he never plays OTB is incorrect.

When you set out to expose cheaters in chess, everybody will start to look like one.
I think his opponent is a shameless cheater. Not only did he beat Kramnik position-wise, he also beat him on the clock. What's more, the cheater is a very weak player (he might even cheat OTB to get those 2200 FIDE points) because he didn't even bother to protect his king. What happened is the engine saved the game, protected everything, started the counterattack and quickly checkmated Kramnik. Easy-peasy. Kramnik is no match for modern engines, especially in blitz games. It's hard to play vs a lot of engine moves. This explains low quality (around 80% accuracy) for Kramnik's game. The low quality is also likely in very difficult positions that require very deep long calculations. That's precisely what occurred in this game: to get good accuracy very deep calculations were needed like 7 moves ahead with many, many sidelines and variations. The engine did it easily and destroyed Kramnik as easy as pie. So, that's what I think.
you are the only person posting that this guy was cheating. However, you are about the only one providing an explanation for the origin of your view. The thing you said about the perversion of a player's accuracy when the other player is an engine definitely holds a lot of water for me! I'm hesitant to call Kramik wrong on this. If he's still a sane man, and not ill, then he'd know an awful lot more about the subject than I.
Sadly it's just pointless. He is a kid that won a master tourney last month which didn't get updated yet(FIDE updates monthly) and got an elo over 2300 after the update(2637 elo performance). Also he played in my chess club before he transfered to the Bundesliga and hell I can tell he is something entirely different than ANYONE I've played before. You feel the power in his play and strength immediately. And the worst part is he doesn't even look at the board much, kids are really unique. Future 2600+GM mark my words.
@@thomasmount7388 Kramnik still plays at the top GM level in blitz. FMs and even GMs cannot easily destroy him in blitz, deliver a mate in 35 moves and also win on the clock (but an engine can do that). It's highly unlikely to beat him like that even by Magnus and Nakamura combined.
But that's just the tip of the iceberg. It's important to understand that most of comments supporting cheaters are from, like, 1500 players or so. They don't calculate more than 3-4 moves ahead and rely completely on the engine and a very shallow understanding or calculations. In reality many moves ahead are calculated with a lot of branching out at 2700 even in blitz. You can feel it even in this very game when Kramnik resigns seeing the mate in 3 moves instantly - in a split second. While his opponent probably picks up various engine moves (mostly between 1st, 2nd and 3d lines) and rarely makes his own moves. That's shameless cheating IMO. The game itself is very sharp and tactical (where computers shine). It's far more difficult and deeper than cheaters try present it by thinking 1-2 moves ahead and then call Kramnik weak or crazy. He is super strong blitz player even online. Also, the way this cheater is calmly playing on the Queenside is yet another indirect proof (not 100% of course; there's no 100% in real life--it doesn't exist) of cheating. Only engine can neglect the kingside like that calculating 10+ moves ahead being secure in its calculations that the king is safe even if it's completely exposed from the human perspective, i.e. the engine sees everything and too far ahead.
What's more, I think this player is even below his 2200 FIDE. I think he also cheated OTB.

Kramnik's logic: I can't be wrong because I am a former world champion.
The only way for Kramnik to reconcile his loss is to insist the opponent is cheating. Kramnik is a legend of the game and should be regarded as such, his ego can't integrate that younger players can get so proficient in tricky situations. Kramnik needs a coach to hype him up and create some changes in the thought patterns near the end. It's tough to watch players that come from a different epoch struggle in the digital chess age.

Kramnik doesnt understand the current meta blitz. He still play outdated aggresive move. Most player play engine moves and keep the position secure, grind the enemy until they make inaccuracy.

it went from 00 to +0.6 in white's favour. first notable advantage (+2.2) was given to white after bishop took the horse on d5 - apparantly black had to go Bc5 - Bf2+ to survive, after which valuation would had been at +0.9

He was in time trouble it happens. That was against his fellow smurfing streamer Aman from chessbrah. Both him and Nakamura have drastic increase in performance ratings online than they do in OTB Blitz. In fact I remember aman losing to a 1900 ,someone 600 points lower than him , at the Olympiad lmao. You have to understand those guys literally built their careers by cheating with the permission of the website for streaming entertainment. They're not trustworthy off the bat.

The Kramdaddy isn't (completely) wrong. Dyachuk had an unfair advantage-- he leaned on his life experiences and the individual traits that built up in his mind (via nature AND nurture), giving him a self-contained, mental chess engine that Kramnick's processor is incapable of running. Dyachuk NEVER would have won this game without that unfair IQ advantage. If that's not cheating, then I don't know what is. No wonder Kramnick reflexively reported Dyachuk as a cheater (without bothering to analyze the moves after his temper subsided). Everyone who watched them play can see that the hardware mismatch was akin to Kramnick showing up to a gun fight with a knife.

As an 1100 player I fell like Vladimir every time I lose as well. It is imposible to not in todays day and age

The fact is that all these talks and speculations of online cheating have created a serious case of unfounded paranoia for players at all levels.
The answer to lower rated players' concerns about cheating is not to insult them. But if they simply can't get over this mental barrier, it might best for them to seek other hobbies or partipate in their local chess club.

Seems that chess players don't understand this think about it when you make a new account where do you start? 300 Elo difference has 85% probability of winning for the stronger side (player should have 8.5 points in a 10 games match). Maybe Kramnik should invest some time in learning stats

Bobby Fischer went crazy and railed against chess, but still managed to have more class and respect than Kramnik is now displaying.

Oh, that's so embarrassing. There's no shame in losing but there's shame in being a sour loser.
We need an objective way of determining whether someone is cheating. It needs to take into account the persons grading and rate of change of grading. For example, if Carlson Pa,us an amazing game, we are impressed. But if I played the same game, it would be obvious that I was cheating, because I am an amateur player. It’s harder with young players, because they are often improving very fast or apparently coming out of nowhere. One giveaway for cheating is that the cheater does not make any mistakes. In most brilliant human games, the winner at least makes the occasional inaccuracy.

Its from Chinese chess, the piece called the 'cannon' kinda behaves like a rook, except you have to jump a piece with it on the way.

Kramnik is the well known toilet bowl cheater, so he doesn't believe anyone can play well without cheating.

Tournament directors and chess organizations HAVE to take this problem seriously and do everything they can to prevent/minimize cheating...AND to hand out EXTREMELY severe penalties--loss of all FIDE titles, rating point deductions of 200+ points, barred from the game for 3-5 years, and all of the above and a life ban for a second offense. That said...I've now seen this game analyzed here and on another popular channel, and I really don't think the FM cheated...and I base that on the analysts that are far better than I am, by the computer score of percent correct by each player, AND the fact that the FM did NOT play the main computer move at one key point in the game...when Kramnik had the three center pawns pushed and lined up. Cheating is horrible and inexcusable, BUT you'd better be darn sure (and be able to prove it with evidence) if you lob accusations at someone of this. You shouldn't simply use it as a defense of your ego and poor play.
