As a farm boy, I think the best thing about these videos for me is seeing how happy the girls are after you get done trimming. I love seeing happy cows
Me too. As a farm girl, we had hard work on our minds, and we never worried about their feet..(being from a dry area of Northern Canada) until i started watching the guys, here. As an adult I am so much more concerned about these animal’s comfort & contentedness.
I love how ‘beginner friendly’ this channel is in that you never take it for granted that everyone knows stuff. Made ot really easy for me to jump in when I did, and never made me feel ignorant and silly.
I follow your rules when I go thru my emails at work. I trim down the excess first by deleting the ones that are not mine, then I get to the problem ones after that 🙂
Your understanding of the process in caring for cows hoofs is awesome. Your ability to explain this knowledge in layman’s terms is ABSOLUTELY UNPARALLELED !!! 🔥🔥🔥
I have no connection with your industry at all but I just love your videos, to see the care and thought for the animals . You show true professionalism in your work. Keep it up ! Lee
I wouldn't say this is the most messy trim you've done that I've seen on your channel. I've been watching your videos for a few years now. You did a fine job, as always, in my estimation.
Imo the most messy trims are the ones where the entire hoof is filled with pus and the entire hoof is detached, needing to be removed. More messy cause it’s got a lot more gunk involved with it. This trim on this video was less “messy” and just more messy in the sense of “difficult to trim,” since it’s always quite annoying to have to trim a hoof at such an awkward angle.
@@twelved4983 I've mentioned in previous videos that I wonder if anyone ever thought of using a dremel rotary tool to help get into areas that you can't get at with the grinder because of there size but are at the same time difficult to use the knife in? I know it might sound like a wierd sugestion and that there probably isn't an actuall atachment for this available for the tool but to that I say, "Wasn't that the case for the angle grinder until someone decided to make them and do that?"
That is one happier cow! She went out worried, then realized her foot feels so good. 😅 I recall my middle sister living in a farm area. We were out for a walked and I said, 'Uhm Faye are they supposed to be running our way?' When she saw the stampede, she yelled, Go for the ravine or "You will get tackled." We both laughed because they were the same gals we would pet. It feels like nothing you can describe yet is really good.
could waste alot ov money and effort making something like that... i mean you did spend a lot of money and effort making a wolf into a pocket animal. so it wont be the dumbest thing you humans have ever done. kinda just perpetuates stupidity though.
Graeme you are fantastic at your job, the way you trim out the cows feet and explain the process to the followers is brilliant. But the cheeky banter is the bit that makes my laugh and smile. All in all great educational viewing and entertaining too.
I grew up in California's Central Valley where there are numerous dairy farms. So happy to see your devotion to excellent care of these wonderful creatures.
Please continue to pronounce iodine the way you say it. You are Scottish in Scotland. I very much enjoy listening to you speak. Don’t change for You Tube.❤
Kevin is such a sweet heart! 💕I love his smile. And your camera, being held by Craig….he doesn’t even complain.. You have a couple great guys helping you Graeme. You’re a lucky man!
She walked out with a little spring in her step! Biodegradable wraps! Very cool. It’s great to find out about secondary etc. advantages of switching products to biodegradable materials 😁
With the amount of hoof material needing to be removed, it would be interesting to see how it grows back - eg an update at the next time you attend this “girl”, showing a “before” and “after”. I currently have no “interest” in cattle, farming, etc etc (I did work as a Stockman in the Australian Outback many years ago) but I find these videos immensely engaging and really feel for the cattle you do so much for. Great work for those animals that can’t help themselves 🇦🇺👍😁
So looking forward to moving onto the homestead I just bought! Lovely but a fixer place. Cows are the future but a lot of work to do first, at least 1-2 years of planting and preparation, . I’ve learned so much about keeping them healthy from this channel. Accidental bits of wisdom also drop. Love seeing you help these lovely ladies
Just received my "Cowpassion" shirt. I was lucky enough to get a hoof block w glue on it as well! Very cool, thank you! I'm glad you were able to make this beautiful cow more comfortable. She took me back to my childhood. We milked Holstein cows. We had the usual black/white color but, about a third or so of our Holsteins were red/white. My favorite. Thank you Graeme, Craig & Kevin for taking such excellent care of these beautiful animals. ❤️🤍🖤🐄
I got my HGP cap today with a wooden block with Hoof Grip Pro!! So excited to get my merch and block!! Thank you for the block!! I was so happy to have been one of the lucky few!
It amazes me that cattle need an arch and it makes perfect sense when i think about it. Love this channel. 💜 And I am SO glad that you don't edit out the little flubs in your conversation. It makes you so relatable to your audience. Great job as always Graeme and Kevin!!! 💜
My great-grandfather was a cattle rancher and dairyman from 1905-1912, when he reduced his operation, eliminating the beef. He became the first dairy commissioner in AZ around 1912. I can't imagine his dairy cows having these hoof problems in hot, sunny, dry Arizona, USA. Grandpa and two of his siblings continued with dairying until the 1950s. Although this is my family history and I love cows, I don't partake of flesh or other animal products. I love the animals too much.
If you watch more of his videos, he often has hooves with issues like this because of a cow bashing their foot into something, whether that's a big rock or a metal bar. Even in a super dry environment, you'll have injuries happen like that.
I'm a new subscriber. I'm not a farmer but I like cows. As a young my great aunt and uncle had a dairy farm. Summers we spent a lot of time there. This my affection for cows. Bulls scare me they had a crabby mean bull we weren't allowed anywhere near. The nurse in me is interested in what is wrong with their feet & what you do to make them more comfortable & get them on their way to healing.
My grandparents dairy had a brangus bull in a stall near the silage. I swear his eyes glowed in the dark he scare the bejesus out of me when I was little 😳
💚GRAEME I just got my HGP white hoodie, t-shirt & mug today. I'm blown away by the quality of it all! It's so much nicer than merch I've got from others. Nice touch with the lime green packaging & Cammy does a great job packing it all up by the way & super fast.(I'm in U.S.) Now if I can just convince you to put the stuff you have on the mug on the front & back of a shirt & also a travel hot coffee cup I'd be so happy. If you make those please keep the cow on them that looks like Gracie since she's kind of been our mascot. 💚 🐄 🧡 🐂 💚
Happy to help a fellow back patient ,Ive suffered with a spinal disease sine birth and have had numerous back surgeries and if i can help someone else to get help so they dont have to im all the happy too 😊❤Good Luck and ill be waiting to see ya walking pain free Kevin ❤
You can also tell how gentle you are being with the grinder by the amount of ‘dust’ that is coming off! I see vert little dust and know how careful you are being!
That's a great benefit of the biidegradable wraps. They don't rot on the hoof like the other ones. I remember a trim where your wrap was on for like 2 weeks and you were disappointed
Ran into a fellow herd member while at a friend’s house, a traveling physical therapist! I told him he should check out your brothers’ videos…just saw James latest. Nice. Howdie from the 45th parallel on the Oregon coast… ❤️
Hey Guys!! Just wanted to let you know that I received my mug AND A BLOCK today! I thought the International Post would have taken longer!! Thanks again! Keep up the GREAT work!! 🐄😃❤👍
Whenever I tell anyone that I am subscribed to a bovine hoof-trimmer on RUclips, I hear myself say it aloud, and realise just how odd it sounds: I am a 58 year old female retired teaching assistant, who normally watches videos of pianists playing Chopin, or how to improve your cello playing. But there is something about your videos that are both fascinating and satisfying. Until a few months ago when I first found you (by accident) I never realised that cows even needed their hooves trimmed. I had no idea it was a thing. I am gradually working my way through all your older videos now, as well as enjoying the new ones.
I am still amazed at how much hoof can be cut out especially the wall. You get so much joy in helping the cows it must be satisfying to do this daily❗️ 👍👍👈
I used to work at a metal fabrication shop. I was trying to precisely grind something with a very big grinder when a customer walked by and asked how I could do that? I just told him that it was kinda like doing open heart surgery with a chainsaw. It’s not always pretty, but it will get the job done.
I kinda know what you mean about it smelling like stuffing. I used to ride horses & work at a stables in return for rides or lessons. Picking out a horse's hooves smells that way. It's all the hay, straw & the end product of their diet that makes it smell like that.
My Dog’s feet smell like READY BREK…YES ..READY BREK! Always since he was a puppy they have smelt the same. He goes out, gets wet feet but once dry they start smelling the same! Our vet doesn’t know why either!😊
As a farm boy, I think the best thing about these videos for me is seeing how happy the girls are after you get done trimming. I love seeing happy cows

I thought she was really pretty 😍😍

What a gorgeous cow. She was so patient in the crush. It was fab to see the improvement after the trim.🎉

I can’t get enough. I love the more you watch the more you learn. Graeme your a gift to us all. Thanks craigyboy and Kev too
I'm starting to be able to see the angles for the hoof trims. I think I've been watching for too long 😅
Same here. 😂
You and me both!
Me too🤣

lol same!
I wish they made a tiny crush for trimming my mom's chihuahua's nails. ❤
same with my cat lol

Well-spotted, Kev - and well done on the Silver-Service equipment provision! 👏👏 Give the man a raise, Graeme!
And give Craig one too for putting up with you!! LOL

You guys make such a great team! I love the little snippets of Craig& Kevin
I just got my merchandise order and a wooden block with green glue! So cool, now I have a piece of your work. ❤ Thank you
Dear Gareth and Kevin and also Craig. I love watching you all do your stuff. Your awesome
Thankyou Graeme for all that you do xx

Excellent work mate. So glad you helped this big girl out!
My son and I were sitting together watching your channel and we cracked up when you said the wound smelled like Stuffing 😮
This is a good trim!! Not even barely messy! You did a great job!! Just be happy the hoof is saved!!!

Good one HGP, enjoy Florida 👍😎🇺🇸!
I love just how coefficient y’all are…it’s truly a beautiful thing to watch when everyone works so well together.
That's not what "coefficient" means.
Such a beautiful animal. So patient! Thanks for your hard work
The cows see the Green Crush coming and they hop right in!!
Watching while wearing my new Hoof GP merch! How fun! Good quality hat. 🎉
I really like the colouring on that cow
I love the cute little constellation on the cow's face. I know they don't usually name cattle, but she should go by Galaxy!
Great demo/explanation. And, how nice Kevin was assisting.
Great job on a difficult trim, I'm impressed how close you shaved on very hard hoof!
Thank you so much for taking care of these sweet girls....you guys are awesome!!
Thanks Graeme and Kevin.❤️🇦🇺🏴
She’s a very beautiful cow! Glad she’ll have some relief. Love your videos and the humour you all have with one another. ❤❤
Your compassion towards the cows, mean the video is so much better, no matter how bad it is I am reassured because of the quality of your work.

Ohmygosh - 3:28 - thank you for moving your hand out of the path of your trimmer!!!
And Kevin cuts such a fine petite figure in that X-S hoodie. 😍
My HGP hoodie arrived yesterday, I love it! Such high quality fabric and warm🤍🤍
Kevin's is a good assistant! ❤
One reason I love watching HGP is due to growing up around horses as a kid, and the difference in hooves and trimming procedures is really cool to me.

Never saw a cow with flat feet. These ladies are so very lucky to have you (and Kevin!)
Another great fix, you have it looking like new, absolutely beautiful.
Kevin is my kind of guy, a man of few words and the mind set of deeds speak louder then words........
I love it when he’s at a farm with a hose. That initial rinse-off is so satisfying.
Great job! She didn't look lame when you walked out of the crush...God bless you and yours from Yuma Arizona, USA
You just put me right of stuffing! Love that happy grin at the end.
