TOP WEDGE TORNADO INTERCEPTS of the last 20 years! 30 minutes of insanity

- 30 minutes of close-range, wedge tornado intercept action of the TOP WEDGES of the last 20 years, including the Manchester, SD F4 on June 24, 2003; F5 SW of OKC on May 3 1999; Bowdle, SD monster wedge on May 22, 2010; and the Almora-Bluffton, MN monster on June 17, 2010. Absolute storm chasing insanity. IF you are sensitive to loud yelling, please check out a calmer weather channel. Never stop chasing
"as soon as you see that inflow get close, back up " 1.5 secs later " BACK UPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!" 1.5 secs later "ok stop" .45 seconds later " BACK UPPPPPP!!!!!" lmaoooo
Dude is Hella extra
Reed Timmer has balls of steel
That guy is something else
I see that coming toward me the road is becoming muddy as I'm pulling a Rockford Turn so if I happen to do this don't mistake the rumbling for the truck that's me giving it extra gas and 110lbs
😂😂
Say what you want about Reed Timmer's yelling, at 11:35 he was SPOT on his calls and got tracked the tornado's movement perfectly, as well as had compassion about the house being destroyed. The man is a total professional who knows what he is doing.
Alex called it long before Reed did lol. Might have had better footage if they backed up sooner. Too much risk for that ego to survive.
I completely agree with you about Reed! I also feel these keyboard warriors are what is wrong with today's world! Small minded (small other thing) pussies!
Well I suppose when whatever supernatural supreme deity involved is throwing an almighty hissy fit, manifests a tornado and starts throwing his toys all over the place, in tornado manifestation, you have to yell to be heard. Not to mention the sheer adrenalin of being in the proximity of such naughty bad temper, I imagine I'd be yelling too!
"The man is a total professional"
-------------------------------------------------
In my opinion he is narcissistic, making his entire presentation not about the tornado, but about >>> him! Sounds like the man is the leader of the Reed Timmer CULT. The first several comments in this video are not so much about the tornado, but about Reed Timmer. What an ego!
HEY GUYS KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO. THE POWER OF GODS NATURE FILLS ME WITH AWE
Pecos Hank: "You can see the smaller, evil tornadoes inside the larger one"
This guy: *Literally sprints toward a F5 tornado on foot with no clothes on.
That's what cocaine does to you
That's why I respect Pecos Hank the most. He's smart, has common sense, stops to help people who are in trouble, he respects the road, and he knows when to get close and when not to. Other storm chasers literally blow a circuit in their brain an just can't function properly when they see a tornado. They have a tornadogasm.
Cocaine is a helluva drug
@@thechitownclown8972 excited chasers make it more fun. Pecos Hank is where I go when I want tornado ASMR
thats why nobody can top the level of reed timmer not even hank the shank
I'm gonna guess this was Alex's last chase with Reed.
I'd hope so, the dude is bipolar and chaotically stupid.
Who was Alex? And what show was he part of storm chasers or tornado chasers? What happened that upset him so much?
@@Zachattack1cub There were quite a bit of guys that acted bi-polar and chaotically stupid in this video yelling and out of their minds.
Zachary Morris he’s I’m very passionate about chasing. But on the other hand I can see where your coming from lmfao. He just takes this stuff very serious. Plus I feel like you have to be kind of insane to just do this for the hell of it haha hahah 😂🤙
TheNStew my name is Alex 😂 but damn I would have told reed Togo fuck go himself. talking like that
Watching this makes me really appreciate Pecos Hank.
Yeah, I joke about how it took being sandwiched between two oncoming tornadoes and an idiot parked in the middle of the road to finally make Hank cuss, but yeah, for that it freaks me out sometimes, his chill is way preferable to Reed's nonsense.
Davis Peterson which video of Hank’s? Thanks
@@LTslimjim I think the title is something like "chaser hit by tornado" or similar. The thumbnail is a blurry pic of a car fleeing a big ass wedge that takes up like half the background
yeah no screaming usually pretty calm
Davis Peterson Reed is a very respectable smart man. He went to college for this for 14 years. He’s actually sending probs up there UP CLOSE to protect people like you. So you should probably respect that. Of course I love pecos hank. But I can’t deny reeds intelligence and determination to get in those things to collect data. Like Tim samaras did. Actually reed yelling cracks me up. He said himself he’s just so hyped up. Which, I would be too i front of some of these things.
The el reno tornado had some of the most dynamic structure. It didn’t even really resemble a tornado at times
Yeah that was absolutely unreal! 😳
Facts, straight outta some twilight zone stuff
Reed and his crew got some of the best footage too where you could really see the shape and numerous vortices.
Madame Zimba i agree.....storm was very interesting from behind....looked like a storm on jupiter
Yeah he had a lot of footage right at the beginning. It was spectacular. Eventually became a rain wrapped monster
Reed Timmer's guide to tornado types:
Wedge
Large wedge
Massive wedge
MONSTER WEDGE
THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE! HUGE WEDGE ON THE GROUND!
You forgot the REEEEEEEEEEEE! in front of them all.
Yeah, chasers exaggerate every tornado they see >>> to make themselves look good to their cult followers and to their fellow chasers. It's an ego thing.
WARNING: DO NOT DO WHAT REED IS DOING AT 14:40.
gfear24 They probably would’ve died if it had stayed on course and actually hit them
Mystery “probably” is an understatement
That clip is the 1999 Bridge creek-Moore F5. It was this storm that really showed people that hiding under an overpass is not a good idea.( It hit 2-3 overpasses during it's life, there was a fatality at each one.)
@Angelo Iafelice I know, I was talking about the one timestamped at 14:40 by the OP
I’d take my chances under there rather than the little car any day
I've added alot of tongue-in-cheek comments over the years about the energy these teams exhibit in comparison to folks like Hank, who's a friend, but I have to say, there's something special about Reed's longevity, his ability to stay on point in his chases, and the amazing footage he provides us with year after year... maybe I'm getting old and mellow, but, he's pretty effin' awesome... screaming / yelling or not.
Nobody can beat the quality and footage of Hanks. Nobody.
@@patricianewman6772 no doubt about that.. I consider Hank more of a filmmaker and amazing chaser.. Timmer doesn't come close in the filmmaking regard but he also chases a lot more than Hank especially these days... The man is everywhere
Reed is good but the screaming is too much.@@2345allthebest
There is nothing more calming than watching tornadoes while you’re going to sleep or at night 😂
My ass is on here at 2am watching these guys scream at fast clouds
I do the same thing!
SAME I found my people.
Reed when he's on the phone: okay guys be careful this is a big tornado everyone needs to be safe and keep away.
Reed when he is just with the crew: KEEP GOING... INTERCEEEEPT... WAIT STOP... WAIT GO... WAIT STOP...
seriously what a fuckin dousche bag
Sure Reed is loud and all but he sure does get really good shots of tornadoes. I honestly appreciate the work he does to show us what power tornadoes have.
RIP To my favorite storm chaser Tim Samaras. El Reno 2013
LoveAddict69 yeah that was beyond sad, literally a game of inches almost because wasn’t reed just literally in front of them and also almost got swept up by that monster? Very sad but he at least died doing what he absolutely loved and was one of the best at.

When I first get the news from a National Geographic magazine, I didn't believe it and denied the truth. Then my mother ended up reading the article and proved it to me. Much love to the Twistex team
6:50 Some say Alex is still shook up from that tornado
Alex Alex just trust me bro
I’m sorry Reed but there’s no way in hell I could work with you, you would stress me out more than any tornado ever could.
Justin Paul lmfao 😂😂😂😂😂😂
That’s why he couldn’t keep a team together for more then 1-2 seasons. I’ve been studying weather my entire life. Literally. I’ve been storm chasing and an analyst for 15 years. I’ve never acted like he does. In fact, there’s videos with some of his team explaining why they left him. They all said the same thing. He exploits other people, is consistently late and on his own schedule, and is a straight up “dick.”
no sooner do you hear the words "trust me " or "we're safe" then the tornado just barrels right towards them. very lucky while playing with fire he is.
Agreed. He alone will stress you out more then damn f5 barreling down on you. If i was the driver, im not listening to reed in any form of the matter. If im driving and a huge wedge is coming my way, i by default am responsible for everyone else in that car. And i will do what I SEE fit to keep us safe.
Justin Paul 😂😂😂
"This is a tornado we do not want to interept"
*Proceeds to intercept*
You guys gotta understand Reed, he knows tornado psychology. So when he yells and screams he's actually scaring it away. Reed just asserts his dominance over the tornado. 😎
Proof: 16:29 it actually runs away from Reed when it was just coming at him 😲
If he could he would probably wrestle it into submission if it would let him get close enough. But seriously Reed is a legend and I know I've never seen someone have such raw passion and emotion when it comes to chasing storms.
"he knows tornado psychology"
----------------------------------------------
Oh please. The psychology he knows is how to milk the likes and subs from his cult followers.
the beginning of the reno tornado is some of the coolest footage ever, watching all those vortices dance around each other and combine into the monster of destruction
Who is louder? A big Wedge-Tornado or Reed Timmer? 😂
Reed would annoy anyone here in the comments on a chase.
Well, that’s easy, it’d be reed. I can never hear the roar over him screaming to listen to the roar 🤦🏼♀️
And you notice the tornadoes always change directions when he starts screaming...they should’ve just drove “reed” directly into the tornado..
@AsphaltKobold Corporate needs you to find the difference between these two noises.
Idk why everyone is hating Reed, he help save lives by giving feedback to TVN, and broadcast what’s on the ground, sure, he’s loud, but it’s part of excitement and doing what he enjoys, I’d happily chase with Reed if I could, regardless of his noise level, I also get excited by tornados and severe weather, I’m also quite the noisy person when overwhelmed with weather, Reed is an idol. I appreciate his time with storm chasing and giving advice, feedback to help prevent any lives lost. And I also appreciate his passion as well, not just for tornados and supercells, but hurricanes, lightning, hail, floods, and more. He’s inspired me since I was at a young age, I’ve started following my dreams of being a storm chaser, to help protect those in the path of these beasts of nature, and give advice to the civilians and news reporters, not just for fun and money, but passion too. His yelling gives me the vibes he feels, and the passion to continue watching, it even gives me adrenaline. Reed is so far one of the only experienced storm chasers left along with Pecos Hank,I don’t know what happened to Sean Casey and his crew... I don’t take it for granted, because there could be any day, any time he could be taken from us too, like the past crew, such as Matt Hughes, Tim and Paul Samaras, Carl Young, Richard Henderson,Joel Taylor... R.I.P to those stunning people, I now appreciate and love Reed more then I have lately, I pay my respects to all those in the past and present & future. Stay weather sabby Reed :) keep chasing and following your passion ❤️
He comes across to me as an egotistical bigmouth who is in this business not for science but for the money, the fame, and his own ego.

Their house, a car, 2 trucks, 2 outbuildings, and a barn were just gone.

Thank you for discussing the tornado, and not u-know-who.

whats awesome is he could have thrown in even more wedge tornado intercepts here. Like Bennington, KS 2013 or luther, OK 2013 or that one canada tornado from 2015 in manitoba. This dude will be a legend forever.
Wow- I actually lived through the may 3rd 1999 one, it's one of my earliest memories if not earliest since I was only around 2 years old- it's so strange, this is my first time seeing it with my own eyes. I didn't understand what was happening at the time or what a tornado even was all I remember is the fear and devastation and since then I've been both terrified and wildly interested in tornadoes. They give me anxiety but I can't help but watch, but it's crazy when I seen that footage I suddenly felt super on edge when I've seen so much of your other amazing footage so when I went to look back at what event it was it was shocking to find that I think my body remembered even if my mind didn't
Being yelled at “stop” “in reverse” “go” at the top of their lungs would make me walk in the tornado to get away from that.
I just LOVE in his description “if you’re sensitive to yelling, go check out a calmer weather channel” You tell them trolls Reed! Haha. Never tell someone that they’re in the wrong when they’re passionate in what they’re doing.

Come to the OKC metro early May. NWS out of Norman is predicting a more active May than normal; most likely the first half of May based on current forecast models. If you're here for the first half of May, you're probably going to be able to see a tornado. Maybe not in person (unless you're with an expert, I would hope) but definitely live coverage on the local news within 20 miles of where you are in the OKC metro, and you will definitely be able to drive through the debris days after (just don't do it right after; let search and rescue and emergency crews do their thing, please.)

Messing with a tornado that size and Alex is totally the smart guy in the car then at 31:32 you go freaking the heck out like you usually do. Maybe you don't mind being reckless but the people in your car are your responsibility. One of these days someone is going to get hurt. I used to be a big fan until I realized all the hype around your shows tornado chasers and such caused a lot of people to become storm chasers and you being reckless i fluenced this new breed of storm chasers that I believe influenced that el Reno tornado where the streets were so blocked by extreme storm chasers instead of professionals lead to several getting boxed in when the tornado changed directions. I learned a lot watching your channel but I don't like that you all disregarded this guys wishes and put him danger.

They have to sign a waiver before they get to go on chasing tours. Alex paid to go on an extreme chasing tour, not a regular tour.
