- Here are the top storm chases of the decade during 2010-19 including a few direct TORNADO INTERCEPTS with the Dominators, rocket launches into an EF4 tornado, and even a tornado lofting cows into the air near Federal, Wyoming. Over 20 minutes of raw, uncut storm chasing footage the most memorable of the last 10 years.
The Bennington, KS wedge, El Reno monster tornado are not shown in this compilation but certainly belong in this list.
Does anyone remember, "back up! BACK UP!!! BAAAACCCKKKK UPPPPP!" from reed XD
That was the Manchester, South Dakota EF4 of 2003 or in this case F4. It was the one that wiped out the house along that tree line.

@@tornadic1915 In his lifetime he's chased a total of four officially rated F5/EF5 tornadoes. He chased OKC 1999, Philadelphia MS 2011, El Reno-Piedmont OK 2011, and Moore 2013.

I love how intense and excited Reed gets I could only imagine. Ain’t many people at all gonna chase and get close as he does. Much respect to you and the things you do to get this kinda footage out of these tornadoes. Watching these videos gives me chills and gets my adrenaline racing.
Reed is not scared bc he has the dominators.
I hate everyone thinks it deserves criticism. The adrenaline itself is enough to make you go crazy and it just shows enthusiasm like you said.

Yeah he definitely is I just worry he might one day get somebody kill or his self kill his team knows it if you watch one of the episode one guy from his crew said everyday Is a risk when you deal with reed because of his boldness he want to run straight into the tornado to get footage but like some people say if you ain’t willing to die for what you love then it’s pointless to pursue it

Hank is a legend. Reed is a legend for screaming the most and spoiling good footage. However, without Reed we wouldn't have the footage we have today and he wouldnt have inspired the younger generations to want to chase.

He isn't the best storm chaser in the world, but he pioneered a ton of technology and techniques that many use today, he's also always on the bleeding edge when it comes to know tech and things you can do to capture research. Pecos is a much better educational storm chaser. He's there to observe from a safe distance and tell you about that particular storm he's chasing.

I've beat stage 4 cancer and been within 100 yards of 2 tornadoes in the last decade so bring it on 2020 ya'll are doing a great job my bucket list is to go on a chase with the pros

I was playing the Reed Timmer drinking game, where I drank every time I heard "back up" or "drop down". I made it all the way to 3:45 before passing out. I hope eventually to be able to watch the whole thing!

Terrifying yet amazing, dangerous yet beautiful. What a decade! I can't wish next decade to bring such more tornadoes but I will wait impatiently and see if nature shows its so elusive, super violent and really picturesque faces again. Many thanks to Reed and all the chasers that let us have this vicarious thrill while we are at home enjoying the sights of these epic moments of tornadoes.

MAN...right about 16:05, the forward speed on that random vortex is so damn fast for a few seconds, probably faster than the Pilger rope they clocked at 93 mph or whatever it was.
at 8:32 that tornado has one of the more impressive nws reports in regards to how powerful it was. This was the tornado that dug a 3 foot deep trench and peeled the roads back like a fruit roll up.

Hey Reed, ever thought of adding a bullhorn to the vehicles to warn people they are driving into a tornado
and maybe add a 360 camera on the dominators, maybe get VR intercept so others can experience it.
YES we have a massive speaker on top of Dom3 we can even deliver safety messages, but it's so loud I think we need some kind of permit to operate

This is so chaotic I love it
I’m an Atmo student at KU, and the one damn time there was a tornado in Lawrence, I was in Moab, UT. I was keeping my friends in LFK informed of the storm’s movement, and had warned them earlier in the day that some bad weather might be headed their way. I had been tracking the cell that ended up producing this monster for an hour or so before it reached the area, and I’d had this horrible gut feeling that the storm would prompt the Topeka NWS Office to issue a tornado emergency - which it later did. One of my best friends was inside one of the homes in the storm’s damage path when the tornado struck (she, and everyone else in the home were perfectly fine - though her RAV4 was totaled, having been impaled by a 2x4, and dented by numerous other bits of debris), while my other best friend took shelter at a campus bar, and two other friends took shelter in their downstairs neighbor’s apartment (they were disappointed that the cute girls had not been home to let them in, and settled for a guy’s place, where they drank beer and chatted). And I had to chastise all of the guys for deciding to attempt to go outside to catch a glimpse of the storm, despite me telling them that they wouldn’t see anything because it was rain-wrapped. Needless to say, it was a day, and a road trip, that I will never forget.
I have pictures of the damage just east of where you shot that rocket off on 1100 Road, I was surprised no one else stopped to check houses.
