Love your videos Ted , you inspire us all.
      I have a question
I’m looking at buying a Hawke sidewinder 30 SF
And most of my shots will be from 100 yards and in.
Now the reticle I like best is only offered in the FFP scope instead of the SFP scope
Since I’ll be changing magnifications often depending on distance wouldn’t a FFP scope work better for me that a SFP ?

In the Uk birds like sparrows and starlings are in massive decline, and we are struggling to feed and put nest boxes up and try to get the numbers back up, yet even I didn't dislike this video lol. Even though the contrast couldn't be more different and I wish we could take these birds here! Pigeon droppings have something like... 600 pathogens that are harmful to humans.
Many years ago, I was tasked with renovating an old structure on a government installation. Upon inspection, it had become a pigeon roost. To have it cleaned out required a HAZMAT team where all the water/runoff was collected so it couldn't get into the soil and potentially contaminate local waterways.

Have you used the new Hades pellet for hunting yet? If so, what has been the biggest difference with them over your other hunting pellet. Hi Ted! Kinda a weird comment, but I'm a practicing avian taxidermist, and I don't know if you would be willing, or bother collecting them. But I'd pay you for a box of frozen starlings and pigeons to work on that are in semi-good condition (or atleast not totally ripped up) I'd much rather practice on invasive species that needed to be removed, and I don't know many people that hunt/ and have no land to hunt on myself, So I figured I'd ask. Took the shiz Center point scope off and put a real scope on it. Hitting power of a .22 with the drag of a 17.
Destroys small game and the gun is almost silent now, so to speak. I figure I’m still getting 900 plus FPS with those heavy pellets, still flat shooting @ 50 yards.

I live in central Montana where our number one problem is the ground squirrel. We call them gophers. I start shooting gophers in early march with my 17HMR and I don't stop until August. What a great joy it is. Hahaha. I have 4 names I give to a gopher when I shoot them... well actually 5. If they are standing and I hit them high, they flip upside down and that is the "gymnast", If they are standing and I hit them center they fall over like a "Tree". If they are laying horizontal (hiding but watching me) and I hit them on or near the head, they spin like the rotor of a "helicopter", if I hit them in the gut and they crawl away with their front feet, that is the "Terminator" and lastly the sound that is made when my 17 hits them I say, "Thats a whap" (like a movie producer). So much fun shooting varmints. Glad to see you back.

Thanks for educating people on the benefits of killing these birds. Aside from health benefits, I house purple Martins on my land, these native birds are almost entirely dependent on man made housing. The same non-native birds (starling & house sparrow) have almost driven Martins to extinction by killing their nestlings and stealing the nests. So aside from health benefits they are also bad for our native birds. Thanks for doing your part!! Great video as always!!

Hey Ted, good to see you back, I'm sure the Brits will appreciate the video as well since they have had their General hunting license pulled last week. Hope you Brit lads get your GL back soon.
