Rats in farmland, factories or elsewhere are a problem. The pest controllers go in with dogs who kill instantly..large numbers and clear the problem, there and then. Oh man... I see that basic ecology has failed many people... The starling situation in North America should be to use flamethrowers to take out entire populations. This guy is actually not killing nearly enough. These starlings destroy nests of actual native birds that should actually be in the area. The thing is, you don't know what you're talking about. Animals are much more intelligent than we give them credit for. Once a predator in the area has been established animals will avoid that location for some time. Hogs, dove, fox, etc. So by killing, say 15 or 20, you have made a huge dent, not in population, but where they congregate. If you can give me a more efficient way of varmint control I'm all ears. Bet you cant.

As an animal lover, I HATE Starlings. They’re an invasive species native to Europe and they don’t belong here, just like Stink Bugs. Their populations are insanely large and they fly in massive clouds across roads whenever I’m driving home from work and I have to slam on my breaks to stop from hitting them.

It is wrong to take pride in killing them. It is fine to kill them but those birds don't know wrong. We made them invasive and now were are putting them through this mess when it was our mistake.
Well, it's because we are more superior species. We humans created this civilization with technology, medicine, social science etc. It is completely okay in nature to kill the weaker species if they bother you or for some benefit, if you don't like this, then abandon your home and other tools that you have, go and survive in the wild at the same level as most animals, then you'll have the moral highground to tell me how "Brutall and unnecessary" this was. Most snowlfales like you take benefits of medicine and other civilization priviliges as granted, you don't understand that your existance kills other species, your ignorance is out of scale at this point.

You can probably tell by my username and profile picture, how I feel about the nasty, aggressive, non-native invasive house sparrows and starlings.
Your videos do a great job at not only showing your operations that help to rid your immediate area of these things (which your native cavity nesters are no doubt thankful for), but you also to a great job of educating viewers about these species, and the damage they have done, and continue to do - especially when it comes to the massive harm they continue to inflict on our native cavity nesters (Purple Martins, Bluebirds, Woodpeckers/Flickers, etc.)

I stopped counting at 200. Probably got around 250. Went through 4 carbon-fiber bottles (75 shots/bottle @ 55fpe) and a full tin (300) of pellets. Didn't miss very often with zero wind that day. ;) The farmer was very pleased.

Brother, I was a police officer who shot a ton of rounds through a sniper rifle in my day and I would love to come out there and fire that rifle!! I love pellet rifles and have a few, I'm going tomorrow and buying 1 more lol. I'm getting a nice one with a scope, you have inspired me. No birds though, I dont have an issue here that warrants me killing anything, however, many paper targets and glass plates will die!! Yea though, I wanna shoot that contraption, that looks like alot of fun. Thanks for the video!! Great stuff
