    Let’s talk about the best protein you can eat: eggs. Researchers have isolated over 1,500 unique proteins in eggs that have a wide variety of functions and benefits.
    Eggs are very different from other sources of protein. The quality of nutrition in eggs is off the charts. They have a higher quantity of amino acids than any other source of protein other than breast milk. Eggs are also one of the best protein sources for diverse nutrients and bioavailable nutrients.
    Pasture-raised organic eggs are the best type of eggs to consume. If you can’t raise your own chickens for eggs, then a local farmer’s market is a great place to buy your eggs.
    Many people are concerned about the cholesterol in eggs. However, in 2015 the dietary cholesterol and egg restriction was dropped.
    I believe in the theory that cholesterol builds up as a consequence of inflammation or damage in the inside of the arteries-not as a result of cholesterol in the diet.
    Eggs contain incredible fat-soluble vitamins that are essential for supporting your brain, hormones, and eyes. They also have a wide variety of minerals and trace minerals. Eggs are also a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, choline, carotenoids, and antioxidants.
    Not to mention that eggs have certain anti-inflammatory properties, a wide range of antimicrobial properties, and amino-regulatory properties. They also have properties that can potentially help counter cancer and tumors, as well as support the immune system and help lower blood pressure.
    Consider including more eggs in your Healthy Keto and intermittent fasting plan.

    Yup. My grandad ate 6 eggs a day, every day since I was able to remember. 3 for breakfast with toast and honey, 3 for dinner with toast and honey. Mid day he'd eat regular food and a huge salad. That went on daily until he died from heat stroke, roofing his house at 104 years of age. Not saying eggs kept him healthy but they sure didn't hurt him. My grandmother said he ate the same since she met him. They were married almost 70 years.

    All these statements regarding the variety and abundance of nutrition in an egg makes every bit of sense, and confirms what I always logically assumed: if the egg yolk contains all the nutrition and material to create EVERY BIT of a baby chicken (Organs, bones, skin, feathers) then it's obviously got every bit of useful material to supply your own.
    Totally makes sense it's the most efficient source of these things, since nature had to figure out the most compact form of all necessary materials, to store in the smallest space possible.

      The funny thing is that the cheap eggs went from $0.48 to $1.99 over the last month. The free range / cage free eggs were closer to $2.50 or $2.80 (I don't think those had changed much). So I splurged on the expensive stuff for the first time.

    Eggs are great BUT you must get proper eggs. The nutritional content varies greatly (especially omega 3 to omega 6 ratios) depending on the source. The better the egg the darker yellow/orange the yolk will be.

    • @wflzoom6219
      @wflzoom6219 2 года назад +32

      Factory farms are using dyes to make the egg yolks look more orange/dark. so color is a bad indicator if your buying factory farm products, your best bet is still buying organic free range.
      now free range can mean many things, in 3rd world countries and old fashioned farms, chickens run around all over the place, eating seeds, insects etc. this is a healthy diet for them, but if those things are not in the fields where they are "free ranging" their nutrition wont be as good, even if they are free range and organically raised. yes it's still better than factory farm products pumped with antibiotics, and grain products. the perfect scenario is have your own chickens, the second best is getting eggs from someone that has their own chickens, and farmers markets can be a good source.
