It's so much easier to parrot The Narrative than it is to find out for myself that 9 of the 10 states with the highest rates in crime, violent crime, gun crime, shootings, murders and mass shootings are all red states. I would like to say there are a lot of people with no common sense. Every day when I get up to get ready for work, I turn on the news and all you hear is news on Chicago shootings. This is every day and multiple stories maybe as many as 5 per day on these shootings. What gets me is you always hear that somebody or multiple people shot late at night while standing on some street corner or hanging out on some sidewalk, or in front of someone's house, or sitting in their cars on the side of the road. Wake up people don't you have a clue of what is going on, are you asking to be shot, are you wanting to be shot, get off the freaking streets. What makes me upset is they do not say this on the news, when the mayor talks about shootings you will not hear him say get off the streets, stop sitting in your cars on the side of the road at 2 in the morning.

To be fair, republican states are just as bad if not worse. The common denominator is poverty, and that’s some basic middle school education stuff. Crime is high where there’s poverty and it’s low where there’s abundance of wealth, that shouldn’t be complicated.

@@rse4379 who runs it hardly matters, idk exactly what percentage the who runs it matters, but again, the single largest data point that matters is economics, as in are they poor, average or rich. That’s the single most important metric. You learn that in middle school, again in high school and again in college, at the different stages you get exposed to more and more data that clearly shapes the understanding of what the leading cause of crime is. Ever notice that wealthy neighborhoods tend not to have issues with shootings, drug dealing etc regardless of who runs it or who lives there?
@@user-sj5ju4jb7t You are correct. However poverty isn't an excuse to raise your kid(s) improperly. It's also not an excuse for your kids, future adults, especially if their already adults to act improper. We are decades into this and we all know what the elephant in the room is, it's just people need to address it. I grew up poor and neither one of my parents even graduated highschool. Yet all four of their kids went on to put "themselves" through college. Three choices if you're born into proverty: 1) deal with it 2) get out of it 3) but if you're stick in it, don't reproduce and bring the next generation into it.
