Classic WASP. Damn awesome.. This takes me back to my Jr. High school days.
This was when WASP first started playing bigger shows. I think this might have been one of their largest crowds to date(July 1985). I don't think they had ever played to this many people before? I was at this concert.. it was my first show at Irvine Meadows. Iron Maiden headlined.

Without a doubt it was Riley. I saw this show live in Ft. Lauderdale and met Chris Holmes and Randy Piper backstage. Piper was very quiet/reserved. Chris did most of the talking. I asked him who the fuck the drummer was and he said Steven a new guy. He also said he was not happy to see Tony go. I got the impression that the band had conflict going on. I smoked a skunk bud joint with both of them. They both hit it and I let Chris have it. They were both very cool to me and several other kids behind the Sunrise Musical Amphitheater. Chris was Awesome! When I asked why Blackie wouldnt come out he said it was because with Blackie it was an act and he was all business. He rolled his eyes when he said it. My opinion of Lawlwess has never been the same to this day. A fake rockstar that lived like a real estate agent. Yawn.........

I never appreciated that WASP was lumped in with the Glam bands. WASP was ugly, but in the best way. The music wasn't hot, it was nasty. It wasn't glamorous, it was gritty. They were more Priest than Poison.

This a KISS rip off of LOVE GUN lol I mean love gun=love machine, its in the same key, some parts are very similar and even the rant is the same paul stanley does before love gun lol still love wasp tho, but its funny...
Blackie is heavily influenced by KISS and Paul Stanley...half his stage moves from 84-87 were homages to the early Paul Stanley moves
