Honestly, it bothers me that they kept that in the final edit. I want to see Wyrmwood employees having a good time and/or solving interesting problems, not enshrining some hapless dude's wardrobe malfunction on the internet forever. :(
@@musumeyo I've noticed that Doug and Bobby have consistently used Jason's demeanor (hardworking & smart) to poo on him so they feel superior. Jason makes the company go, so they gotta knock him down.
I was so satisfying to watch all the accessories come together at last. We have been following their journey from the initial concept, to prototyping, to revisions, to finally a finished product. I'm a gamer, but never really saw myself owning the table just because of the gaming accessories... but I'm also an artist, and seeing the hobby vault really impressed me. Being able to keep my art supplies organized under the table so I can just start painting any time and put it away easily is amazing... Honestly I would just use the rest of the table for storing canvases or paper.
Oh, you could also have an easily washable paint proof table cloth that gets held on with the magnetic things so you don't mess up your surfaces when painting.

A lot to digest here! The hobby combo pitch is brilliant, the vault + shelf + inserts are a wicked idea and you should all be very proud. How do the hobby shelves fit the hex table? My biggest takeaway from this video: literally all of this needs to be on your website, long term. I have a V1 table, I'm going to want to update my V1 game deck eventually - but not yet. I'm going to want an entire hobby system eventually - but not yet. How are the exclusive woods going to work with future upgrades? If I buy a Bolivian Rosewood table through KS, will I have accessory support in the future?
Bolivian Rosewood is only available for accessories at this KS, but to your point they do have a question in the FAQ that addresses the availability of wood types long-term for replacements. They say they'll try to make them available as long as possible, but can't guarantee indefinitely due to the possibility of them not being able to source it. I assume the same applies to future orders as well so if you want an exclusive wood, get it while you can or bank on it hopefully being available another time.
not really. The size is perfect for me (large) and the vault is perfect depth as well. It would be nice to have an option for speed cloth (mouse pad like material) as well as felt. The esthetics of the table, build quality, finish, are all top notch. Just like I would have expected from wyrmwood
I gotta say. You really blew it away with this product. its truly one of the most modular, adaptive systems I have ever seen. And I spend A LOT of time in places like Container Store and similar trying to find products that can fit multiple roles. The silicon food safe insert trays are brilliant. One day I will have an apartment to fit this and this is going to be my first purchase.
I can see something like a "Poker Night Bundle" with an assortment of large and small cupholders, Brewski Buddy, and perhaps some of the coasters or Tavern Tiles. Or maybe a "Game Night Bundle" with some component organizers, a corner tray and perhaps one or two Card Shelves/ Hobby Shelves with basic endcaps. Nothing crazy, but enough to get someone introduced into their ecosystem to then drive future accessory sales as people want to expand functionality.
Lids for the snack inserts so you can prefill and place the ones that won't need refrigeration and not have to worry about them going stale. Or so you can fill the hobby vault with snacks to munch on when doing something else.

Holy Moly!!! So much good stuff. Tablecloth Holder!! That vault with storage behind a screen... for a DM! Im honestly a little overwhelmed by how many awesome accessories there are. The trays for multi hobby utility!!! Bravo.
I'm interested in the hex table! However, i'd like to see some of the bigger accessories inserted into the hex table as well. Will the hex table be showcased in a different video, including which accessories do or do not work?
An insert that could hold a roll of brown craft paper horizontally, would be so useful in the event you wanted to paint miniatures at the edge of the table. Would be easy to pull the paper over the topper to protect it from paint, and then just rip it off and pull more if you need to.
Great to see so many new accessories! But as someone who plays D&D and wants a Hex table, I really missed seeing some kind of GM shelf or hobby vault for the hex table.
Brewski buddy should be a push open not a pull open, IMO. Start at an angle and when it’s open it’s upright, instead of the other way around. If you get a couple beers in you, that open angle is gonna be dumping brewski on the floor-ski for some people. 1:12
I'd love to see felt options that actually have art and a grid on them. Forest floor, ocean water, swamp...I use minis and Dwarven Forge and having a themed mat to put them on would be super cool
This is a great idea. If they're not sure how to do this, they could even team up with DF -- I'm sure they'd be interested and it would promote both companies.
So I already have a table, and a bunch of fast pass accessories on order, but there is a lot of new stuff here. If I want some of the new stuff is the best path to join this kickstarter to get new stuff? This is the part I'm unclear on. Everything looks amazing!
I'm in a similar place. There will no doubt be an accessories only tier in the Kickstarter campaign. For now I'm sure that's the only way to get these new items.
I have an accessory idea 💡! The crook for the GM/DM to reach out and move minions around the surface. Maybe with a removable "head" and turn it into a craps dice rake or something. With your guys's wood selection, maybe leather wrap handles fancy fancy.
Those tray end cap things. If they can go on either the left or right side, what is the point of having a blank one? You could just turn your pen one upside down and stick it on the opposite side right? Just do the pen ones
I'm not sure if it was on purpose or not but I really appreciated seeing the modular gaming table be used for real things like friends or coworkers getting together and eating on the table.... It makes it feel more connected to everyday life.
Looks good, fantastic accessories. If they are put in the store after the kickstarter, they will make some great gifts. Love the hobby vault, really good use of space. The idea for the trays to be everything from paint to food organizers is gold. Only point of order, a pair of basic endcaps should come with the hobby shelf, and the hobby vault should come with a couple organizers. Don't nickel and dime it.
When are we going to get a look at the rustic woods and the rest of the campaign photos? I'm really trying to plan out what wood I want but it's hard when we don't know what three of the options are going to look like
They usually continue figuring stuff during the Kickstarter campaign. Get in early for early bird bonuses but decide (or drop out) late, when you know as much as possible.
Don't hold your breath though. I think last campaign they literally never had photos for stuff in tavern elm. They're great at getting to 80% of info that should be provided and never doing the last 20%.
Just to make sure... you all might want to check your 3d printing processes when making food grade/safe parts. Even if the material is food safe you can have issues with impregnation of particulates over long term use of a plastic/silicon material. There are also issues with some 3d printer nozzles leaving lead and other metal particulate in the material. I dont know if you all are sealing the parts and letting people know not to soak/dishwash them but might be something you want to look into.
@@tmcicak Very true, imagine they will go that route as well. I'm wondering how that'll work, too. My players all have their player desks mounted, and I don't feel that I'll be able to slide the vault open mid-session without running into them.
I've had such an on-and-off again relationship with the MGT. Not that I don't like the concept (I was immediately hooked when it was first introduced) but because I keep debating if this is something I need vs "oooh shiny I want it!" as well as the cost the cost." I play board games all the time but I'm not sure if setting up a board game in the vault is any better or worse then just setting up on the toppers. That being said, I don't know why but the way they pitched the MGT now makes it seem so much better. I can't describe it. The small hobby shelf is brilliant as well as the corner rolling tray. I never even considering mix & matching the wood types for accessories till I saw the end of the video which just looks so good. I'm seriously considering joining the kickstarter this time around as long as my wallet agrees.
This is such a well thought out and good looking and functional set of furniture pieces. Wish I lived somewhere that I could house one. Maybe someday! Everyone is going to be so happy with their tables!
As a potential returning backer, I still really wish there was something like the Hobby Shelf that was flush with the table edge. Whenever I use my MGT 1.0 table, I want more room to put board game related character boards (with their cards or whatever) without going into the table nor having to be pushed too far away with the Player Desk. Really, a double rail width (or a tad more) between the natural rail and the shelf would be very handy as a board gamer. As currently designed, the Hobby Shelf area is lower which just makes a second area which would be too small (as the rail alone was too small before it). Can there be an insert in the Hobby Shelf that flattens out the area from table edge to shelf edge? Or maybe have it so that if the shelf was inserted upside down it would be flush? That is, the Hobby Shelf could be a single flat surface from the table side vault edge to the Hobby Shelf player side edge. If so that would be an amazing board game accessory. Also if the gaming dials were maybe offered in red and blue, that would be nice as I would imagine the most likely tracked numbers would be Health (red) and Mana/Magic/Sanity (blue).
If you want to replace Monopoly and Uno with something that will excite people, a lot of backers are getting their hands on Frosthaven right now (the sequel to Gloomhaven). I think both of those games lend themselves well to the table with the storage tray. If you could get your hands on a copy of Frosthaven, you could do a very impressive setup. It’s a game you want to leave setup up under the toppers and need the storage space. Maybe even pick a good wood/felt combo that is Frosthaven themed. (If you want to really go all out, you could even think of doing special edition table packages for certain games like this in the future. Think “The Frosthaven bundle” with Figured Maple table, the sea blue felt, and all the accessories and trays with the deck to organize everything.)
Yeah, showing off the vault with campaign games would be nice. That’s the biggest use and quality of life upgrade for gamers from the vault in my experience. It’s so so nice to be able to set up some of these big sprawling games ONCE and leave it there for weeks / months. If it hadn’t been for that ability with my gaming table I’d have never gotten through Gloomhaven, Sleeping Gods, or The Initiative, to name a few. Oathsworn would also look amazing here, but Fosthaven is probably the best intersection of “mass recognition” and “gamers understanding the benefit”
For the hex tables - there needs to be a way to attach accessories at the outside corners maybe. A wrap around cup holder ? Tray for the inside corner (snacks, dice tray).
Inserts are awesome and here's something that I foresee happening with them. You will see inserts that are 3D printed and people will share files for the,
Hobby Vault: No card slot on the edge?! It fits a card stock game screen (such as from your favorite brand-agnostic Essentials Kit) perfectly, and ends up giving you more room behind it than a freestanding screen. I use the slot on the far edge of the OG Game Deck all the time.
Possibly dumb question: Is the hobby vault going to work in a Hexagonal table at all? I LOVE the look, but I will need the vault for DMing. But I have no clue how the shape would work for the Hexagonal table.
Very excited for the upcoming MGT glad to catch it this time round. Hoping to see a wood comparison soon on the site so that we can settle in on a wood choice. Also just to add to the product bloat, how about an inner waterproof liner to aid those who are more spill prone? It could clip in with the watson to catch any additional moisture.
Was planning on backing the kickstarter however due to some unforeseen expenses will be unable to now. But this is the nicest table I have ever seen and I would definitely buy one if offered on the website after.
I wonder how practical it would be to have a TV/monitor insert for VTTs? I realize there are a _LOT_ of caveats with that one. It could insert horizontally like the vault and slide north/south. Maybe an upgrade to have a larger TV sit lengthwise? The challenge would be sourcing the TVs and having replacements available.
The only problem I see with the table cloth, is that blocks the magnetic rail, so you can´t use the accesories for a nice dinner or that. Also, the hex table is perfect for poker, need some accesories for poker, specially some cushions for the elbows.
I personally like it. A lot of people will get a hex for the breakfast nook. You can cut a tabletop protector and throw a tablecloth over it to hold together so your table isn't getting dinged to death in day to day life between game nights and still look good.

So many great things. If only it also had.... international shipping.
Man, that mini painting set up and storage vault is a hard option to pass up.
You could put one leaf of the hex topper up for your GM screen.
I really hope with this shift away from kickstarter, we will be able to buy these accessories on demand
The hobby vault for painting minis and DM-ing is just *chefs kiss*. I wish I could afford a table like this..
Soooo, visualizer when?
Love all the accessories
The charcuterie example was amazing 😍
the painting! 😍
Black Poisonwood table!😍
How did only Bobby get a Chipotle burrito?! Them's the best!
The Hobby Vault will be an essential GM tool, I keep getting up to get minis and books and this is gonna make it sooooo much smoother a process!
Wyrmwood- Omg-epic job!:))
The hobby deck and tray look fantastic!
This is super exciting, but random thought based on the snack/charcuterie idea: Modular Bar/ Modular Kitchen Island
I feel like I need a modular gaming bedside table now 😅
Very excited for the upcoming MGT glad to catch it this time round.
Hoping to see a wood comparison soon on the site so that we can settle in on a wood choice.
Also just to add to the product bloat, how about an inner waterproof liner to aid those who are more spill prone? It could clip in with the watson to catch any additional moisture.
Utterly amazing yall, well done!
What no triskits ? When Jason showing off the food options
Dang it I like the hobby vault upgrade so much. I can't justify rebuying, but I'd be all over it if I didn't have one already.
One feature request. Put a felt between the accessory and the metal rail. It would produce less noise.
Need to open a warehouse in the EU/UK so you can ship without crazy tax. Before you say it's really tricky etc. Fecking Critical Role Figured it out!
I really wish I had waited on the Game Deck now...
Was planning on backing the kickstarter however due to some unforeseen expenses will be unable to now. But this is the nicest table I have ever seen and I would definitely buy one if offered on the website after.
Luckily for you, it will be
I wonder how practical it would be to have a TV/monitor insert for VTTs? I realize there are a _LOT_ of caveats with that one. It could insert horizontally like the vault and slide north/south. Maybe an upgrade to have a larger TV sit lengthwise? The challenge would be sourcing the TVs and having replacements available.
Trying to convince my fiance so hard that this is the type of table we need. I just sent her the link to this video.
I would so love a hex coffee table!
Wyrmwood makes the coolest shit that I am far too poor to ever own. Ferrari aint got nothing on Wyrmwood!
If only...
It all looks really cool guys. 👍🔥
The hobby vault is so good, my table is a mess when I paint or play D&D
I know international shipping isn't available for tables, but will it be available if you're only ordering accessories?
