    Thank you very much for sharing this, really appreciate your work. I recently bought the 5D Classic ( I have the 1DX Mark 2 and 5D Mark 3) but I decided that I wanted a more grounded sense of shooting. The 5D really makes you think about how are you are going to shoot. It really is a special camera.

    I've shot wedding for years with 2 5D MkI bodies, a 24-70L, a 16-35LII and a 70-200LII Lens. Not difficult at all. You just have to nail the exposure and also the composition, because you can't crop that much with 12MP. Greetings.

    I once photographed a friend’s wedding with a canon 450D, sigma 18-50 f2.8, Canon 40mm f2.8 and a 430EX. Daylight photos were fine but indoors the flash ran slow as the highest iso I wanted to go was 400. No image stabilisation so I took multiple photos at 1/30, 1/60 to make sure some were sharp.

      430ex isn’t made for weddings. You need a Flash with power pack or constantly replace batteries on 430ex and use lithium batteries plus it will overheat unless you use higher isos

    Can I address the elephant in the room: I had Canon 5D w/ 50mm 1.8. Beautiful colors. Simple. But maybe it was my copy, occasionally I get lens/camera would front or back focus. Did you have this problem ? Also, when subjects walk towards you, how did it perform ? Subjects in focus ?

    • @CoupleofLondon
      @CoupleofLondon  2 года назад

      Well, you have to calibrate lens to the camera, so your images are in focus. If you want to have in focus persons walking towards you, you need to refocus Canon 5D due to lack follow focus - AI Servo

      @@CoupleofLondon I was once in discussion for a job where I would be the boss/manager and the position had been unfilled for a while so another person was promoted to it temporarily. My condition was that whatever they were paying the previously temporary person, I had to be paid more. Frequently people get overpaid in an emergency situation and when you go to hire to replace them you find that out. They did not agree to pay me more, I did not take the job. Moral of the story, take what you can get but pay attention to what is going on because while it is easy to get underpaid it is much easier to starve by asking too much, and nobody loves you but your mother. In business we do our best to get what we can, keep in mind though, that it is nice to find a range of clients, assignments, and things because some things pay better than others. Also, frankly, with a family money comes first over desires or dreams. That's why I went to college to study marketing and business as opposed to the very very nice photography, and such type of degree I would have really liked to have. I did photography as a hobby and after my business "career" do some professional photography in my area of choice which is not weddings, but a low paying real estate area of work. It is all by default still life, the subject does not get emotional on a "special day" and it gets over quickly. It can be routine, it, like any job can be thankless. If you get thanks be happy. In my decades of work for many clients, when I left the business I had exactly ONE client offer any thanks as I went out the door. It was not that I was expecting any thanks, but when someone offered it, it occurred to me that was nice and isn't it kind of awful that many people I knew said nothing at all. So, don't expect praise at the end. You do get it by the assignment as in normal thank you's but at the end of the trail, it is your family that is there. That's the point. Best wishes! PS Make the most out of every opportunity to make an honest living, don't let pride get in the way, you never know where a humble trail may lead, PRAY to God for success.
