    I love the way you teach, it makes it so easy and you don't speak fast, you also repeat things several times. Thank you for taking the time to teach us who wish to learn and cant find a person to practice with.

    Very effective way of teaching. Making the viewer understand and comprehend without needing a million words and explanations for grammar. Good job my friend.

    @Jecsen93 무엇 and 뭐 are just the same, just like "they are" and "they're" are just the same in English. Normally, 뭐 is used in conversations.
    "무엇 해?" doesn't mean "What year?", it means "What are you doing?"
    And "What year?" should be "몇 년도?"
    Korean words for "year" are 년 and 해 both, but if you say "몇 년?" or "몇 해?" then you're saying "How many years?"
    (Well, "몇 년?" can be "what year?" depends on situation, so it's better to say "몇 년도?" just to make it sure if you wanna say "What year?")

    @lgrigoras0 Good question, kinda tough to explain here though...
    * In English, the same "knows" is used in both cases below.
    This kid knows this.
    My grandpa knows this.
    * But in Korean, depends on "who" knows, the form is different. (I would say, not a strict rule though.)
    This kid 알아 this. (얘 이거 알아.)
    My grandpa 아셔 this. (우리 할아버지 이거 아셔.)
    * The past form of "아셔" is "아셨어", and the polite form of "아셨어" is "아셨어요".

    Oh, if you heard 마자 from a song, then possibly it was "맞아" which means "right" or "(it) fits" or sometimes "get hit".

  • @Jecsen93

    what's the difference with 무엇 and 뭐 when forming a sentence?
    Google translate:
    뭐 해? = What are you doing?
    무엇 해? = What year?
    so when do you use 무엇 or 뭐 ?

    For “How long have you waited?” at 7:13, it sounds like you are pronouncing 셔 (over the ㅆ followed by 어 요) as a “j” sound, like “juh suh yo.” When paired together, does 셔 change the ㅅ sound to a “j” sound?

    It will be more than the BEST if you have pdf file attached to the video because I have to keep pausing the video, like up to a hundred times to write down everything so I can review it when needed, but it is kind of not an easy job to keep pausing like that. I know that you're already so GREAT when making those awesome videos but if possible could you put all the text mentioned in the video in a pdf and upload it in download websites like mediafire? THanks so much!

    Hello, I was watching this video and this sentence came up ---> 언제까지 하면 돼/돼요. What does 돼/돼요 or 되세요 mean? I need further explanation than what the video briefly said.

    • @ConversationalKorean
      @ConversationalKorean  9 лет назад

      SmileSoSmall 되다 has various meanings, and is quite confusing. If you translate "언제까지 하면 돼요?" literally, then it'd be like "Until when if I do then it works or I'll be fine?"... (하면 되다 is like either "do it then it works" or "do it then you're fine, you won't have problem".)
      You may watch this video ruclips.net/video/oTeWB14r3YY/видео.html for more.

    Should this sentence in the video (제 모자 어디 있어요?) really be this instead (제 모자 어디에 있어요?)? I don't understand why you didn't attach ~에 to 어디.

    • @ConversationalKorean
      @ConversationalKorean  9 лет назад

      SmileSoSmall 제 모자 어디 있어요? and 제 모자 어디에 있어요? are the same. It's not like you have to put the particle "에", it's more like optional here.
