Basic Korean Classic 05 - so, and, if, but, then...

하지만 (그러나) : but, however
그런데 : by the way, but

Normally 먹고 (먹다 + 그리고) is "eat and..."
However, if a past-tensed verb comes right after 먹고, like 먹고 잤다... then it means "ate and slept."
this was made in 2012? wow! your videos were ahead of their time, i applaud you 👏🏻
Thanks!

i come here again after a year. This is probably the best channel to learn, it feels like being on a real class. I love how you break each word before explaining the real meaning. It truly helps me a lot

Thinking in Spanish, understanding english and learning Korean.
Esa es otra onda xd
ME TOO
Lol same..I'm thinking Bengali, understanding English and learning Korean😑
Eso mismo. Te confunde horriblemente :(
HAHAHA samee, lo malo es que nii sé inglés y los veo.
me alegra no ser la unica :,)
이런거 보면 내가 처음 영어배울때 얼마나 어려웠을지 다시 생각해보게 됨..
I wrote those letters down using tablet. I'll take it as a complimentary :)
it's not a font?! your handwriting is pretty! i love it!
I really like to listen to a Korean speaking their native tongue.. just that.. because somehow, I know we can adopt the way they speak, (e.g. proper pronunciation, intonation). I have been learning the language for three years now and still struggling a lot. Learning a language is like Math, it is hard but fulfilling when achieved with flying colors. I have no one to speak with to learn and no one is anxious to study with me.. it is hard but I really wanted to learn this third language.
Good question. Actually, 들다 and 든다 doesn't really matter in this case. (You'd probably know it but still I just have to mention that 들다 is the basic form of 든다.) However, if you wanna say the sames thing in past-tense, then it should be like "디자인이 맘에 들었는데, 그거 얼마였어?" (I liked the design, but how much was that by the way? ...들었다+그런데)
Is 2024 and I'm here improving my korean with your videos. I can't believe this was made in 2012. So incredible. Best korean lesson channel ever. 축하합니다!

Kind of.... but not always. It's tough to explain with a single short reply, they are pretty complicated ones for foreigners.
Love the way you teach Korean. Please make more of these videos again!

I'm currently learning about the anothers and I was feeling a little struggling. But now, after this explanation, I understand much a lot. I'm really thankful for this video.
I'm glad this video helped, Renata!

You're welcome! Glad to hear that!
thanks for your videos---so useful :D
thanks! my teacher !
너는 훌륭한선생님이예요! 진짜 고맙습니다!
너(×) 당신(ㅇ) or you can use '님' when you refer to those who make such a post online. In that way, you sounds a real korean. But '당신' sounds a bit formal. Korean rarely use the word cuz it is usually used in literary works:)
@@froggreat9631 yeah we can also use the channel name and say 님 cause 너 sounds a bit too informal or disrespectful it's better to use 김선태 님 as it is his original name
its really awesome, i really like it :)
i want to model my hangul characters after yours because mine is a mess :)
이 레슨늘 좋아요! :D
It really works ..😊😊thank you ..i subscribe a right channel💕💕

"이 동영상 너무 재밌어요" would be correct, I mean just take away 을.
아니요, 보라카이에는 안 가봤어요.
로컬라이징: ㄴㄴ 보라카이 안가봄
5탄 역시 나왔군 1,2,3,4탄이 알고리즘에떠서 봤는데 5탄나오니 이제 6탄?
I wish there would be a Turkish channel like that
(I had to think about it for a while, then the answer is...) No. 들다+그런데=드는데; 든다+그런데=드는데... and both of'em are pretty much the same, if not just the same.
gracias!
yay!! thanks a lot. ^^ i will keep this in mind. ^^ I actually use 을 more often, haha but this time, I dunno what happened that I typed in, 이. I think 가 and 이 are for person particle, right? ^^ 감사합니다
i love the font you use in your videos. what is the font's name?
널 가르치 방식을 넘 좋아요 ㅋㅋ ❤
Great vid man!easy to understand..valuable effort..
Good class!
Thanks!
저는 비디오를 좋아해요 그래서 저는 열심히 공부해요!
Thinking Turkish, Understanding English, Learning Korean.
are you great korean conjuction and conversion
I was sure
먹었다 + 그리고 + 갔다 = 먹고 갔다
I mean past tense I can use only in the second sentence, so
먹었고 갔다 it seems to be incorrect??
사실 여러번 썼다 지웠다 했거든요. 실제로는 완전 초등학생 글씨라... ㅋㅋ
saya suka bahasa korea
You are soooooiooooooooo handsome 😍😍
Is it wrong to not combine the verb of the first sentence and the transition word? or is it fine to say the transition words as a whole in between two sentences?
Both are fine. :)
안녕하세요.... Who's here 2022?
I have a question. Why use ㅆ다 instead of ㅆ어요? For example, why 먹었다 instead of 먹었어 when it comes to any verb in the past tense?
선 생 님 감 사합 니 다...제 가 한말 마자요?...수 고 했 어요
예, 맞아요.
i see ..you know [그리고 is and] and [먹다 is eat].. when you added them together is it still the same or it changes its meaning..so 먹그 means and ate ??
역으로 영어공부 하기도 좋네요 ㅋㅋㅋ
I feel crazy right now..why too much to learn 😭😭😭😭...but i really want to work in Korea...
Hi, is there any difference between saying 슬펐어 and 슬펐다? Or saying for example, 좋아 or 좋다? I guess my doubt is if using verbs in the infinitive form in the Present or any other verb tense is grammatically correct. Thank you in advance :-)
As for meanings, they are the same - 슬펐어 and 슬펐다. But when you communicate with someone, 슬펐어 is more common.
Conversational Korean 알겠습니다 ^^ 정말 감사합니다!
Anna R.
슬펐어 & 슬펐어요 is spoken language and 슬펐다 is written language & dictionary form, right?
10:47에 걱정'되'서 가 아니라 걱정'돼'서 이에요!
문지윤씨가 저를 한국어를 가르칠수 있습니까?
안녕하세요..
공부를 쑥쑥 잘 들엇는데 가끔 까먹었어요.
혹시 좋은 공부 방법을 있으세요??
알려주면 감사하겠습니다 ^^
omg my brain gonna explode
oh i see, and when you combined all the words together like 그런데 and 든다, is 그런데 still has its meaning or it changes.
5:48 it says '든다' but then when it was about to add it says '들다'.??
외국인분들 귀여워..
아너무웃겨
저는 현재 카톡을 사용하지 않아요. ^^
Umm, don't wanna come off as rude, or anything... but isn't 너 + 가 = 네가? (Pronounced as 니가 to avoid confusion) That's what I learnt. Still a beginner, so I may be wrong.
Can I ask 8.43 there is 걷다 +그러다가 or 걸었다+그러다가 thank you
When you combine a verb with 그러다가, you usually combine it with present tense. And it's 걷다 + 그러다가, no exception there. When it comes to attaching '그러다가', although 걷다 itself is a present tense, it is regarded as past tense since the last word of the sentence is in past tense as 부딪쳤다. Korean language is kind of messed grammatically, in my opinion.
걷다가
걸었다가
0:10 지금 알았는데 "를" 발음이 특이하네요
2023!!..
Stay🥹
can we say 맘에 든데?
"맘에 드는데?" would be sound more natural.
The problem is 없어서 sounds a lot like 없었어 and 이고 sounds like 이거
huh? how to add the words?????
aaaaaa this is so harddd
얘기 and 이야기?
Ain't the term 한 명 rather than 한 사람?
Aaahh....it is so hard to understand....
가질러 x 가지려 o 내릴려고 x 내리려고 ㅇ
