  • Hi friends!
Welcome to another clean with us! Again we are helping the Miller family of nine gain some control over the chaos that is trying to take away from their lives. We have helped clean and organize the laundry room, the kitchen and today we tackle the living room and START on two of the kid's rooms.
There is so much happening behind the scenes here including chore charts, declutter challenges, and new shelves/vertical space being utilized. Unfortunately a lot of it is not filmed as we are working with the kids and parents one on one to help achieve the home of their dreams.
Soon we hope to show the WHOLE HOUSE and all of the systems put in place but for now we'll show you clips and snips of what we are able to accomplish in our short time there.
Also the work is not just being done by us! Mom and dad are rocking out every room and doing their best to teach their kids how to clean and how to stay on top of the clutter.
If you enjoy videos of us helping other families then make sure to like and subscribe to our channel! We are beyond grateful to our over 2000 subscribers who said "hey I like what I see and am going to push that red button." We do this work to help as many people as possible but it is so motivating to know that people enjoy watching this cleaning content.
We forgot to introduce ourselves in the video so we want you to know,
    "I'm Lana."
    and "I'm Lara"
"and we're two identical twins who love to clean and tidy."
    Also we want to know....
    "What should we clean next?

I homeschool. I would get so frustrated with constantly picking up and cleaning until i decluttered decluttered decluttered. We are a family of 9. And our house stays clean because kids stuff belongs in kids rooms. Dishes and food stay in the kitchen. At the end of the day school work goes on a designated shelf. There are no homeless items. Electronic time for the kids starts at 5pm and the kids room has to be cleaned 1st.

What I’m hearing is ZONES! That is what we are preaching as well. Certain things belong in certain rooms and there really isn’t any crossover.
These kids don’t have a lot of technology time but working some cleaning time into the kids schedules is the mom’s goal. :)
Thank you for watching and for your comment!

Just started watching! We also homeschool and things can definitely get messy! 😅😊I have been organizing like crazy to minimize everything to only what we really need in our small space as much as possible❤

I love that you two are very practical in your decluttering process. I know first hand how messy it gets being a homeschool momma and having the kiddos home all day making messes. But that is because we’re living life and it happens! 😅 We have a very small home compared to this one. Decluttering is a quarterly thing for us 😂 We have one tidy up before school (beds, rooms, kitchen cleanup after breakfast) and one after (books, pencils, wipe table off and putting away any craft materials etc). Throughout the day I remind the kids to clean up after themselves. I have to be real about that because as much as I’d love to NOT have to remind my kids (because they know the rules about putting things away when not in use and putting clothes in the laundry basket etc) for my sanity I do. But I remember they are kids and as long as I’m doing my part in keeping the home tidy, not perfect, then they follow suit. I’m not kidding, my middle child saw me cleaning out my drawers and she went to do the same! It’s a ripple effect. I don’t have energy some days and the dishes pile up, the floor is sticky, papers are everywhere and the laundry baskets are staring at me but that’s ok 😂 we just bust it all out together and my hubby chips in which helps a ton especially if we’ve had a long school day and nothing got done besides school 😅❤
Anyway I really hope to see progress made in this sweet family’s routine so they can breathe a little better. I know the momma does not like the mess! A mess like that is paralyzing especially if it’s in every room of the house. Bless her sweet babies helping y’all clean! I tell you what, they’re learning more value in helping clean than the math lesson they’re missing 😅 Life skills! So don’t feel bad, consider it their recess time! The beauty of homeschool is the flexibility.
Anyway, looking forward to the next clean! ❤

I think you ladies are doing a great job on helping this family get organized. I enjoyed the video, it was well filmed. The only sad part for me was the "after" picture of the little girls room showed no sheets on the beds and piled with stuff. Where do they sleep? It would have been great, not necesarily seeing every toy in its place, but their beds made and a cleared out floor so they can walk to their beds. It was just a frustrating ending.

That’s so true. It was hard to leave. the beds are normally made but we ran out of time for helping!
Good news is we are going back and we are going to take on the kids’ rooms!
Thank you for watching and for your honest feedback!

Why not move the couch forward and create a space to put the workout equipment?

I homeschool. There is no human being who can keep that kitchen clean with so much stuff still in it in the after. Please tell the mom that her life will be SO much easier if she gets rid of HALF the stuff! Only have a few sizes of storage containers of all the same type. That is one big thing. Aslo, NO TOYS that aren't in kids toys for anyone who can walk.
I also don't honestly believe that the mom works out. I believe that she thinks she would like to and makes excuses. But extremely few people work out at home to begin with, and a mom of 7 is not a human who gets 30 minutes uninterrupted time for a workout unless everyoneis in bed. She should get a membership at the nearest gym and that should be her alone time.

If the mom is the home school teacher, then one course needs to be Home Economics. Like making a meal and then cleaning up afterwards and how to wash and fold laundry and make a bed. Also, getting EVERYONE involved in a group tidy when the school day is done, just like in real school. Fun play projects are fine but it’s a fact that kids CANNOT concentrate and learn in a chaotic environment. NO BOARD OF EDUCATION would allow a teacher’s classroom to look like this. (Doesn’t anyone do home inspections for homeschooling?) I can’t imagine that a mom with this many children would actually need to work out but I would motivate her to declutter the basement with a promise of a workout room down there, not in the family space. The “family” living room should be strictly for the entire family to read, watch tv,have game nights and converse, not a bunch of HUGE equipment devoted to one person’s hobby.
