  • Hi friends!
Thank you for coming back to check out PART 2 of our Hoarders series. If you haven't watched PART 1 please do as we discuss the psychology, emotional need, and personal connection to hoarding.
In this video we REALLY get into the deep and dirty of hoarding. One member of The Tidy Two is afflicted with hoarding tendencies and OCD so having this opportunity to kind of share this, discuss, and hopefully bring light to those in need is the mission of this video.
If you or someone you know struggles with anxiety, depression, hoarding, or other mental illness please seek help!

Thank you for sharing about your struggles with hoarding.
My only suggestion is to show the declutter pile at the end.

Thanks for being so real! I struggle with PTSD, flashbacks, depression and anxiety. I handle my physical possessions differently. I have certain eccentricities about organization and collecting. For example, I have an obscene yarn collection because I associate crocheting with peace and calm.

We understand completely! People have their own perception of how to let go but it’s different for everyone!

Thanks so much for sharing your experiences. I watch the hoarding shows also and they’ve helped me understand more about how difficult it is for some people to get rid of items. I’m glad I live during a time when there’s more information about the different ways trauma affects us. Congrats on your pregnancy! 😊🐦

Not everyone with OCD has hoarding tendencies. I have severe, crippling OCD that affects several facets of my life but I'm a minimalist because AGAIN I have OCD and I cannot have too much or it'll drive me insane. If I can't count them, I can't keel them.

Would Lara like a complimentary mindfulness session? I work with folks dealing with hoarding and chronic disorganization. It can help the process.
