    Have you tried Kinship skin care? What are your thoughts? Any other sustainable brands out there that I should check out?

    • @mintoiro5886

      I wouldn't call kinship a sustainable brand, but some actually sustainable brands I would recommend are Lani, Upcircle and Meow Meow Tweet.

    The cleanser packaging is so cute. I can't get over it. The fact that it's recyclable is amazing too. Looked up the ingredients and they look so good. I'm definitely picking this one up. Especially for $22, I think that's a steal if it performs well for my dry combo skin.

    I love how in depth you go into these. I remember when I briefly worked at Lush they identified some customers as the ‘analyticals’ - people who are very interested in the ingredients, the effects, where everything is sourced from etc etc and I am definitely that. I enjoy learning more about skincare & the science side, but also the environmental/sustainable impact too. You really know what you’re talking about and you make it so accessible and interesting to watch!

    Thank you for mentioning the eco friendly packaging. I was worried about the pads, and it’s so nice to know they’re biodegradable! I appreciate this thorough review!

      Alexis Amezquita Borrego I don’t like pads for that very reason! I normally use reusable bamboo pads so when I found out they were biodegradable I felt better about buying it!

    I got the Hyram kit the second it was released. Can’t wait to try it. I didn’t try getting the mask for the same reason you were concerned, which is the menthol. Menthol can also be irritating to the skin over time, especailly to any open parts of the skin like pimples. I also just don’t like the sensation of any skin care that’s minty or mentholated.

    • @CathyonSkincare
      @CathyonSkincare  3 года назад +1

      Agree! I don’t mind sensorials but the menthol is too much! And I hope the products work for you 😍

    i LOVE kinship so much. supermello is the only vegan and cruelty free moisturizer that doesn't make my hormonal acne worse! i've been using naked papaya and supermello since february 2020 and as long as the formulations don't change i can't imagine myself using anything else!

    Cathyy I LOVE your videos! I do have to say-the research on reef-safe vs non-reef-safe sunscreen ingredients is very bare. Check out LabMuffinBeauty's videos on this! Unfortunately "reef-safe" seems to just be a convenient greenwashing tactic with no real data/research to back it up :(

    I love their products but I’m scared of the moisturizer being acne prone. It has coconut oil in it and closer to the top of the list. What are your thoughts with coconut oil being comedogenic?

    • @CathyonSkincare
      @CathyonSkincare  4 года назад +1

      Annaliese Hey Annaliese! This moisturizer is definitely on the more emollient side and coconut oil is pretty high on the comedogenic scale, so I’d stay away from it just to be safe!!!
