Anyone wondering about the timing chain tensioner he talks about, it is the Martin Industries Ka24e self adjusting tensioner.

I’m 17 and about to get a Nissan Hardbody with the ka24 in it stock 140hp as you might know but I’m aiming for a cheap build stock internals 300hp not crazy power but a cheap build 300hp I’ll be happy with
@@landontillman8077 200-250 you can do reliably. Watch MOTO-iq video on the KA24e. They have a good parts list and good info on the engine.
I just got my 1990 stanza running it has almost the same engine as a s13 except i bet it doesn't have the girdle. Hopping to get a stage 2 cam and maybe raise compression one day

Nope, it's a full stand-alone ecu.

Where did you find the s14 trans i am assuming its a manual where you just looking in the junk yards
I got one on Facebook and the other one from a friend. They bolt up to the single cam but you have to make a big hole in the floor to get the trans in the truck
Nice video you're engine should be good for 500hp but it will be super reliable at 400 for know
What is the rocker arm ratio for the mechanical rocker arms?
They are modified stock arms.
Hey what kind of intake manifold is that and where i can get cause i see most ka24e its the intake and throttle body that faces up like a carb but im looking to change it to your kind off intake
It is from a 89-90 240sx. It is pretty hard to find and usually pretty expensive.
What are the weakest links inside the short block? is 450 wheel out of the question with a turbo?
The pistons are the weak point. 450 has been done, but i wouldn't recommend it.
How did the 240 trans mount up? Shifter fall in the same hole? I know they’re different lengths between the truck and the car.
No it doesnt you have to cut a big hole in the floor to make it work.

@@softbodyfab7588you can use the stock hardbody trans mount and the cross bar bolts on line factory still . I have the same set ip
stock mount works fine
How does the trans handle that power + drifting?
We have yet to take it drifting. We'll be doing that at the end of the month. It did just fine on a 200+ mile drive and a weekend of drag racing.
What did you use to plug the old distributor whole?
You have to use the distributor for cam and crank position.
What is the maf setup? Just swapped over a s13 manifold to my truck and not sure where to put a maf
I dont run a maf.
Are you running the stock crank ? I’ve read a lot of people who turbo the kas don’t mess with the crank
Stock crank, they are good for a while!

You can definitely do a stock rebuild. Gap the rings, do a nice head gasket and head studs. Should hold 300whp no problem! Probably more.
