Another thing you keep with you for life is your relationships with your family, and just seeing how these siblings interact and have fun together is such a beautiful result of their upbringing. That completely impacts the rest of your life.
The greatest sell for Homeschooling is honestly watching the kids interact. I would be proud if my kids ended up loving eachother and the Lord as you all seem to. I ordered your books from a scholarship website in FL and was SO confused when they arrived (since I was expecting a classical curriculum) I set them aside and ordered some other curriculum, but as we go through this journey (it’s my first year) I find myself getting your books out more and more. So glad to finally be learning what they were all about!😁👍🏼
Great conversation! You continue to lift each other up and cheer for one and other, this is huge!! No dream squashing! If memory serves me, as a toddler, Joseph was using a sewing needle and thread. I believe he watched someone sew, and he was taught how to 'safely' use a needle and thread. (neighborhood parents jaws dropped, followed by an audible gasp, as Joseph demonstrated button attachment. ) Yes, decades later and I continue to share this memory with new parents of toddler's. Never underestimate the abilities of a toddler!!
I have always thought it was important to embrace a child's natural curiosity and exploration. Joseph was a perfect example of a toddler in action! lol When I was visiting, Joseph picked up the guitar and a family photo, my internal 'don't touch that!' button was ready to ignite! But he then began strumming the strings and serenading the family pic.lol Glad I didn't miss that moment!
Over the years I have peeked in on some of his videos and I get a kick out of his 'reviews'. He is a natural! I find his style to be 'Educate-ment'. Both, education and entertainment! @@funschoolingmom
While you didn’t come out with Funschooling books until my oldest two were in college or almost there and youngest was high school age, we unschooled. I really think that with a bit more exposure to each other, your music/arty kids would enjoy mine , since their educational experience has been more similar than not.
I’m homeschooling my 4 young children 8,6,5,&3 (my youngest son name is Isaac Joshua!!) this was so encouraging to me because my whole “curriculum” is based off their interests and desires. We go to the library and pic books they desire and just base all our learning on what they love! I felt guilty about this by looking at others but watching you guys as adults makes my heart so happy. I hope my children are happy about what I’m doing when they grow up. 🥹❤️ I just looked into the fun school curriculum today! This was such a needed video for me.

Yes! Joe is 14 now, and he was the one seeing buttons at age 2.
