I was public schooled! If I had time for my passions, I would have become a fashion designer or a magazine editor. I did both of those things in my spare time but it wasn’t enough to really hone in on it and then I went to university to study linguistics to get a job as a speech pathologist because I thought that would be the right thing to do. I didn’t really know I could earn a living following my passions because my public schooled education led me to believe otherwise. I am now a full time homeschooling mom who allows my children to follow their passions.
You can do for your kids what you couldn’t do for yourself. And as you develop your own skills along side your kids, you will inspire them! It might not be too late to get into fashion and magazine work!
Today is my son's (11yo) last day at public school (he has been asking to homeschool for a while and we are finally pulling the trigger...) Your channel, your family, your journey have helped me to go from terrified to super excited. 💜 Thank you!
I have 2 daughters and one son.....the eldest two are both girls and they went to public school.....my youngest daughter was in matric when covid happened ....she was mostly at home during that year because of the lockdown. In that time, she taught herself graphic design and 3D design....now she is a young adult working at a big firm, doing what she taught herself....nothing she was taught in public school, is featured in her occupation. With covid and the lockdown, I took my youngest (my son) out of public school and basically unschooling him....he has had an interest in cars since he was 4 years of age and now at the age of 13, he is focusing mainly on cars, car design and racing......my daughter that was in matric, said that she wished that she was homeschooled because then she would have had more knowledge before covid.......so Thank you for changing the schooling environment for so many children and families!! I admire you and your whole family.
I love your channel and all your content, including this video. We start homeschooling in 2025 and this just encourages and inspires me so much. Thanks.
I'm not a mom, but I grew up in public school and was a public school "teacher" for around five years. My advice to parents is to get out while you still can. Public school will kill your kids' creativity, suck out their self-esteem, and they will graduate with only basic skills and no real world experience, and that's if you're lucky. Homeschooling is not only for the rich, and you don't have to be a trained teacher to give your kids good curriculum.
I really loved this. Your girls are so sweet. It's a great reminder as to why we wanted to homeschool in the first place. Interest led learning is definitely the way to go. Very inspiring, thank you, ladies!
I love your podcasts! I have been homeschooled my whole life and hope to homeschool my children. Unfortunately my homeschooling journey has not been an easy one and had a lot of problems but I still find such joy when homeschooling is done well. I am 18 and an Artist and I love to create but I also love learning about new things all the time. I think it is so important not to doubt your passions because I always thought that it was something useless and that I would never get any where without going to school. I am learning how to love my passions again and trusting in the Lord that he knows the right path for me.❤❤
You guys amaze me. Your journey as a family and individually is so fascinating and cool! I’m a big fan of you all. You guys are all such pioneers in this generation and the future generations. A light in this dark world. May the Lord bless you ❤️
Thinking about it now I’m 32 and have no idea of what I loved to do as a child. None of public school or college helps you find that spark or your purpose. It keeps your eye on their prize not yours. That you are here to make the rich rich and that’s it.
Thank you for keeping your books affordable! We have been homeschooling for a few months and have lost steam, going to pump us back up with a few of your books about the kids fave topics! We have read all the books, but didn't really know where to go from there
2:00 this is why we have homeschooled all our children all the way through. Yes, yes, yes!

Thanks for sharing! That's really valuable insight for other moms here.
