I flipped the intake 180 degree on a 8.1 carter i built for a friend as there is a little angle on it and it gave much more room between the tyre and carb ;)
Hey Patrick, your show is top notch! I know I'm small beans but have two questions. I'm building a 70cc race kit bike. So far billet bottom end from Smolik performance and suitable crank and bearings that will take 12k to 13k rpm. The cylinder I'm rocking is70cc vertical MHR the one with the bridge port exhaust. I have already reached out to the guys at Smartcarb and no response. What size smartcarb should I install on this racing build? Second question if you have the time....which pipe would best suit this MHR racing cylinder? Price doesn't matter as I will spend the money for quality, speed, and performance.
When I was 16 I had a brand new Katana R one of the first liquid cooled 50cc ever and I got 70cc kit kunda powerpipe and solid clutch rollers ... I got stoped by the cops doing 98kmph 60mph in a 30 zone the cop went crazy saying 50cc should only do 30mph ... So funny he wanted to seize the bike
Time to try the Super X carb from STIC SuperTorque. It looks and weighs like a PWK. The inventor told me a CR500 at the World drag race Nats took their class and placed 2nd in the 70cc class. Small bores get low end like an electric motor and the HP boost to the top comes in 1.5k RPM sooner and tags an extra 1k RPM after. So a very broad and aggressive powerband. I can't compare my SC to the Super X, that comparison makes sense with PWK vs SC. More apples to apples. Just a heads up on gains no one ever anticipates. STIC run huge pilot and main jets. Acceleration is beyond responsive, it is explosive. For MX on my KTM 200SX, I use G2's slowest turn throttle cam, as it returns control to the traditional range/sweep.
I didnt think there was a RUclips about this but I love I have a friend hes has a big bore 94 polini on and 36 carbo also and 2 fast exhuast and polini hi speed vario and a Malossi delta clotch and i dont know what its called in english but its that your vario is one that is stage 6 and he has voca caliber on pretty nice machine
Hello guys. You did an awesome job. I have a small noob question... I have a Peugeot Speedfight 2 50cc Air Cooled. I installed 70cc Malossi set, Naraku CDI, Gianeli Reverse exhaust, Malossi Variator and now 19 Malossi Dellorto carb. Problem is when I am at half gas or full gas it chokes. Like it can t go anymore. I have a Malossi sport airfilter aswell instead of stock airbox. Main jet is 80 middle jet 48 small jet 32. What can I do? or How to adjust. Its with manual choke awell.

How can i get a nice throtle response on my piaggio nrg power phva 17,5 dellorto, 70jet, giannelli reverse, stock 50cc cyl, multivar 2000 with 5.5g. Its pretty slow response, i have tried changing jets or tuning the carb but doesnt really work, also starts kinda hard (i live in a cold country but still...)
You may want to put some stronger clutch springs, and check for air leaks around your intake, and just turn all your carb settings back to stock. And that will be the best you get out of a stock 50cc. I’d recommend getting a dr70 cilinder. It’s not expensive, easy to do, and makes your scoot 10x better
@@melkelly6148 hi, thanks for your help, but i sold the bike a while ago :DD the rollers were made by malossi so they are pretty good, just needed a stiffer contra, also changed to stage 6 street race 70cc kit, i still keep contact with the curent owner and it really does fly now :DD

The new 25mm "Lectron Billetron Micro" would probably suit the sorts of cc-builds you are doing better. Are you planning to test it?

Would love to see you guys do a build serious on a piagio zipp 👀
What an absolute monster.
yeah this isnt event completed but close
I learnt the hard way with the throttle cable, throttle got stuck wide open couldn’t kill the bike in time got flipped straight off it 😂
same with me, had my cable stuck while riding 65km/h on my back wheel when suddenly my throttle kept stuck wide open
yeah gotta do it right
Which metering rod do you use in the Smartcarb carburettor?
Can i put this on a smaller block like a 50cc sport mallosi block ? 🧐
Do i realy need a air filter or a stock airbox with additional holes is fine?
