    I have the 50 AR 1.4. I found a mint one that had been unused for 35 years!

      Wow...lucky you! Even more so if you didn't have to spend much. My own copy is in decent shape...wouldn't call it mint, but still nice condition. Cheers!

      Be careful with it. They were made with Thorium...are radioactive.

    I became the owner of Konica acom-1 and am trying to master it. Your video helped me. But I would like to see your photos.

      Hi Дмитрий Саакян...I wish I could pronounce your name! It's great to see another Konica owner utilizing the potential of these lenses! They are superb! I have included photos in the video. Perhaps you are looking for photos for better analysis? I would recommend looking on photo sites that would include plenty of varieties to choose from like Flickr or Lomography for example. Best of luck with yours! Cheers!

    Hello.
    Does the f1.4 have 8 blades?
    Thank you.

    • @DrScottMcDonald007
      @DrScottMcDonald007  Год назад

      Hi TNG...Thanks for asking...but, nope...only 6 which was pretty common for Japanese lens mfrs of the day. Not to say that lenses with more blades weren't produced, but most had six. Cheers!

    it would be great if you could take sample photos with these lenses

    8:03 super wide open lenses always compromise because they have to cover a wider range so it complicates the design and the end result is often a more expensive and a softer lens compared to the 1.7 that doesn't have to stretxh any farther than that and has a less complicated design

    • @DrScottMcDonald007
      @DrScottMcDonald007  3 года назад

      Thanks for your input E6! This is one of the reasons that the designs that include 1.2, 1, and now 0.95's are so expensive!

      Hi Adrian...thanks for asking! I use the K&F Concept adapter K/AR - NEX format. It works great without any issues on my A7RII. Cheers!

    What about the 57mm? Does it not count as that nifty fifty club? Oh.. or the 52mm 1.8. lol

      Hi Wraith...thanks for commenting! Get's the ball rolling! Anyway...I only have these three 50's. I'd like to have the others but I've invested enough already in my 70+ vintage lenses. Konica made superb lenses... I do have the 135 f3.2 which is excellent as well. Perhaps, in the future, my wallet will allow for some expansion into the other 50ishes! Cheers!

      @@DrScottMcDonald007 I just picked up a 50 1.7, and have been looking at a 135mm 3.2. :) Konica really did make a lot of great lenses in that range. I use the on my little Fuji, but also have a Konica Autorlex T2. The 57mm get really pricey!!

      @@WraithCalling ...nice! Fuji makes a super camera! Yes, the 57mm is a bit pricey for my taste as well...only the juiciest glass will coax my money from this point on.
