I've never replayed Pikmin 3 because my memories of the final boss are so horrifying. So many of Pikmin were slaughtered to rescue Olimar and after a game of playing so carefully to lose as few as possible to lose so many at once to this horrifying thing has left with a level of video game PTSD.
the NSO N64 app is now ranked 4th in my "most played games" order on switch. With today's additions they've announced everything I wanted besides Diddy Kong Racing. I'm very satisfied with that service personally
FYI online for goldeneye is switch exclusive. Xbox version is local only. Also yes, splatoon 3 reportedly had the biggest Japanese launch of any game on any platform… crazy. Great job as always Seth and it was awesome seeing the others on this podcast!
I really wanted Gameboy on NSO, but the new N64 games have me very excited actually. The first house party console just got a lot of its best party games announced, but now you can play them online with friends remotely! Honestly didn't think we'd see the Mario Party games considering the collection we just got, and Goldeneye for obvious reasons. (It is still a shame that GB isn't coming though: it would have been cool to see it have some kind of crossover functionality with the pokemon stadium and Mario golf games)
I was also questioning how to pronounce "tears", so I looked up the Japanese title to confirm. The word is "ティアー" which is pronounced like "tia", suggesting it's tears as in crying.

I've seen this a lot in Japanese titles for games; I feel like it's common when Japanese products are widely released internationally.
Damn this was quick! Love it! Awesome to see Brian and Brandon again. What a JRPG fill Direct this was everyone along with Farm like sims. So my likes was Wonderful Life Remastered by the OG developers of the game. Of course Tears of the Kingdom, Mario Kart DLC, the N64 games was hype for me, might actually get this fire Emblem I've only played the very very 1st. Harvestaller is hell yes for me, crisis core I want on Switch actually, Pikmin4 was hype but wish there was game play. Think that's about it for me. Other than Mario and Rabbids but this direct was mid grade like C over all maybe low low B but that's cause of tears of the kingdom.
I'm pretty sure Seth is wrong about the no screen looking on Golden Eye for N64 Expansion. Unless it works totally different than other NSO online play, the game itself will have no idea it's online the emulator will handle that and the game will think it's local play. Therefore there will still be split screen for everyone.
Brian said this was the longest by far in between 3D Zelda’s.. Is it the longest by far? Skyward Sword on Wii was late 2011. Breath of the Wild was early 2017. Tears of the Kingdom early 2023. So, I guess it’ll be close.
What’s more is this is using the same engine and assets as BotW, but it still took so long to make this. That’s really encouraging to me, that it will still be big and new. This is no discredit Majora’s Mask, but it’s awesome that this doesn’t seem like a smaller side story.
I was kinda disappointed by this direct, i personally don't like anime games nor RPGs and this direct was fulled up to the grim with samey looking titles. Pikmin looked great but it was only a teaser, and Zelda was kinda worth the wait just for the title reveal but they haven't showed anything groundbreaking yet, haven't seen new enemies, nor combat gameplay, are there going to be real dungeons this time? They're taking it real slow and it's getting weird, i want to be very excited. ):

Yes Pikmin was mostly only a title but just the announcement of its existence is hype! Metroid Prime 4’s announcement was legendary, at least Pikmin showed some assets which looked great. I get pumped for the Mario kart tracks because my friends and I play it together regularly so new content is very exciting for us and it came much sooner then we expected after the last wave. The N64 and Goldeneye announcements were very cool for me as well, so many games coming! Mario Party 1-3 is about to get a loooot of attention from my friends and I. Agreed Zelda wasn’t anything too exciting but a solid release date is always nice after all the delays I’m also pumped for ports like Tunic, Tales of Symphonia, Front Mission 1-3, and Kirby Wii. I was legit disappointed by this Direct. Most games are 2023 and of everything else very little were games I'd be interested in. I mean Switch is my 3rd choice for all gaming so some games I liked but I'll be getting them on PC, like Tunic, but I was hoping for Wind Waker/Twilight Princess so now that's a maybe for 2023 too. Guess I'll pack up the Switch so the dust doesn't get so thick on it for the remainder of the year lol.

Octopath has no health bars so I'm good on that. I was excited but the demo turned me off. I liked the demo for Live A Live a lot more.
