Wow, I expected Edgar Sherman to be an ex-SF guy, 58 years old with lots of visible tattoos 🙂 Some sort of Travis Haley. You look like you're 32. I've got five of your slings. Well done man. Also cool to see a Swedish flag with what looks like the Coastal Rangers motto. Super cool. Greetings from Stockholm :-)
Hahaha, this is gold. I have heard a few people thought I would be much older. About to be 28 in a few days, glad I'm finally starting to look more my age as for the longest time people were guessing in the teens! And nice spot on the Swedish flag, we went over to K3 to meet with some of the units and our friends at Cold Skills! Great people and an awesome experience!
Yes, another wannabe operator who will get his butt served to him by gwot combat vets when society falls. Flat range does not equal hundreds of combat operations in one deployment. It's a shame society allows people to pretend to be something that is so difficult to earn.
They perform when I’ve needed them too and they don’t break the bank. There’s a category of brands that they fall into that zone of affordable, solid warranty/guarantee and made in USA that I think is a great category to be in. I do recommend head-spacing your bolt to ensure the best performance though!
This rifle really reminds me of my 12.5”, but I am running a Rosco barrel and bcg and not Ballistic Advantage, but the upper and lower receivers are both from BA and I am using a G$ rail…unfortunately I don’t have night vision, so no need for a laser, but I am still playing the Powerball every week hoping I will someday! I am a huge fan of ESD gear and run your slings and doodads on all my guns! Thank you!
So pumped to hear you’re rocking our stuff! Also awesome to hear you have a similar build! The 12.3/5” barrel length is such a great length for performance and rail real estate! Night vision is awesome but don’t stretch yourself thin for it! I will say id rather have nods and one rifle than four or five rifles though…
@@edgarshermandesign I actually just made another order today for some of your stuff and picked up the new grip, unfortunately the fine texture was all that was in stock, but I am sure I will love it!
I run BCM uppers & lowers you can't go wrong & I run your sling with the paracord guides, I love your sling, I purchase another sling & guides for a CAR-15 build, great vid.
Just read about Edgar on his company website, will absolutely represent and recommend this company whenever I can and will be replacing all my pistol grips with his.
It's nice seeing someone who actually shoots running aero/ballistic advantage. All the gucci boys like to say if you run aero you'll get kilt in da streetz
haha yea my first lower was an Anderson and that's still running just fine. There are some things that can be more affordable and there are some things you need to spend money on. Uppers and lowers are important but there's nothing wrong with Aero/Ba that I've experienced. This combo has done quite well and has seen quite the use!
Just got a woodland camo sling from you guys and I wish it was sold with the paracord loops. I was buying it for an M4 with a FSP with integrated sling swivel, so QDs are a nogo. I love the sling though. It’s insanely light and very well thought out.
Have you ever considered going to a 12.5” (or 12.3”) with a mid length gas system set up?? When properly gassed (either through the factory port on something like a Jim Hodge or Triarc Track 2.0 barrel, or through the use of an appropriately sized BRT EZ-tune gas tube), I’ve found the 12.5” middy to be the softest shooting SBR I’ve ever experienced (let alone owned). As long as you aren’t shooting shitty steel cased ammo w/ a super heavy buffer it will run perfectly reliable w/o a can, but it really shines when suppressed and an H2 (or equivalent) buffer setup. Fucking orgasmic and the absolute envy of anyone I’ve let shoot it.
I haven't purely because this rifle runs like you described your rifle. I've found some sort of sweet spot here that's made for an awesome experience both suppressed and unsupressed. The gun runs like a typewriter. Super predictable and very easy to control! What you're saying makes a lot of sense I just don't want to mess with something that's running flawlessly as is! I think the 12.3/5" barrel length is the sweet spot!
so i tried one of your slings because of how inexpensive it was. my blue force sling was over 100 plus swivels and qds and i wasnt about to pay that price again for something i thought was just ok. i bought one of your slings last year for my jakl, not knowing if it was any good simply because i saw it at fin feather fur and it was like 45-50 bucks, and it immediately became my favorite sling. lighter and thinner than my blue force gear, and much more comfortable against the skin. the blue force is good, but its bulky and it doesnt adjust as easy as yours. i can tell you put a lot of effort into making this sling and its made with quality material. all my rifles will eventually be outfitted with your slings. highly recommended if youre in the market to try out a better option.
This means a lot to us! When I(Edgar) set out to design the sling I put a lot of time into the research phase to make something truly different and beneficial. Fast forward to now we've got an amazing team that's helped enhance the design even further and work to get it into stores like Fin Feather Fur! Super happy to hear we won you over with our work and we hope we can continue to offer new products that continue to impress! Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment, means a lot to me and us!
I wanted to find something bomb proof that was tasteful and they have checked the box perfectly! And that’s not a bad idea for a sling colorways!….hmmm
Either will be good! Only thing to note with the 12.3" vs 12.5" is your muzzle device and if you're running a can. This combo of rail and device works great but you may need an extra shim on some setups that you wouldn't with the 12.5".

Overall pretty solid, when shooting 55g and cheaper training ammo it’s probably a 2-3 minute group. Whenever shooting some black hills 77g I’ve been able to keep it under 1 minute. I had a 16” Hanson that loved some 62g and I shot the best grouping of my life at .357 moa with that(100y, 5 round string in a Ridgeline class). For this rifle optimizing training was a big focus for me. The cost to replace a Hanson barrel and run cheaper steel case and other training ammo etc. outweighed a more expensive barrel. I did receive a few barrels for free from BA but have also purchased some myself. I would classify them as the barrel you get when you want to prioritize time on the range. There’s definitely better for lifespan or accuracy, or heat management etc. but from my experiences BA balances all of the above at a great price and guarantee so it’s hard to go wrong. Hopefully my long answer helps!
I’m looking to get the paracord guide for an AK set-up, unfortunately it’s currently out of stock on your site but I did find it on Weaponsoutfitter. My question is, does it fit a 1.25” sling (blue alpha gear) or is it designed for the ESD 1” only? Btw, I do own an ESD sling in multicam arid.
We are hoping to get a restock on our website soon! Black Friday hit hard this year and Santa will be busy. As far as the Paracord Guide goes, it is only compatible with 1" Mil-Spec webbing. Not just our slings, but any sling that uses that material at that width. Thank you!
There is a hole drilled there! Edgar did not prefer having the sling move around and pop over to the back side of the stock, and that hole stopped that from happening. Thank you for leaving a comment!

I literally have more ES slings than guns because I like them so much I bought some in advance of future purchases
If Edgar blesses off on Ballistic Advantage, I no longer feel like a “poor”. All my builds are based on that brand. Nice.
